Fayette Womens Residential saved me.....I was able to go in and actually tell people who I had never seen before my whole life. I was one who had to stay there twice and hada long journey of a prison stay before I was able to go home and live a life. I grew very close to the councelors there...I even wrote them from prison and let them know my progress and what I was doing that they taught me to be sober. Even after leaving prison and going home I knew that life would not be easy. I had to prepair myself for the fact I would never see my father again. I lost him in prison to an overdose to the evil drug that tore me down. I knew that I would never use heroin again! Today still 3 and a half years off heroin its a struggle. Ladies its not am easy road. Hard work has to be put in to remain sober! I just wanted to share a little about my experience there. Thanks so much all of you for helping me. I'm sure you know who I am! Thanks!

Brightview in Wilmington, Ohio has truly been a lifesaver for me. The staff there is truly compassionate and caring. I was an emotional mess when I first stopped there. I didn’t even have an appointment, but I knew I had to get help right away. I’ll be forever grateful to the nurse, Linda, who came to my aid. She welcomed me and my tears with open arms. All of the other staff are truly amazing as well. My Dr. Don truly has a heart of gold and my counselor Lisa is Heaven Sent! I’ve never felt judged or uncomfortable in any way. Everyone that works there is amazing! My thanks goes out to Paula, Lola, Amanda and ALL the staff that have been there to help me through the struggles life has thrown at me this last year. I can’t recall all the names of the other smiling faces that greet me each time I go there, but they all have a way of making me feel like I’m seeing a friend. Awesome job, Brightview! I really feel like God guided my way to you! Thank you!

I was a long time patient with the VA hospital in Chilliocthe OH. 2007 til 2026 when I moved to Lexington KY. My experience with the VA hospital in Lexington KY has me already looking to relocate back to Chilliocthe OH. The nurse practitioner I was assigned to immediately began chastising and berating me for not electing to do radiation therapy. This was in the first 30 seconds of my appointment. She then began to describe in vivid detail how my cancer will spread across my face if I don't do radiation therapy. I am beyond appalled that a so called medical professional would stoop to using scare tactics and personal intimadation to pressure me to take a treatment plan I have already told 4 doctors I don't want to go down that path. I am seriously considering moving back to Ohio.

Our rehab facility offers a full continuum of care, including medical det | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Overall a very positive experience. I have stayed at the recovery village for two months. When I first got here I was unhappy and hearing 45 days felt like a lifetime. 30 seemed impossible, and now here I am at two months and 3 days. The environment is safe, people want to be here. There’s no arguing, support and a lot of help. I went through the oasis program and then did php as well. It can be scary to commit to the change but I found it worth it. If it’s trauma, addiction, whatever you struggle with they have what you need. The main complaints I have heard or had was you do have tape on your phone so FaceTime isn’t available during your stay for Saftey of other clients.. and snacks. Out of all things to consider, not a major deal. They will help you with therapy, education, and meds. I did feel finding sober living after was difficult for me and a few others. You can have care packages dropped off, family/friend visits as well as Amazon orders. Great connections you can make and I’d like to emphasize again, the people here want to get help. But overall this experience saved my life. I wouldn’t have stayed this long if it didn’t and I never expected it to. There activities like art, bon fire, trivia, yoga things to look forward to. You’re worth it, the time is worth it and I hope anyone who reads this chooses themselves. It’s okay to be selfish and again. YOU ARE WORRH IT! You got it! Thank you for all the kindness, patience, love and support I’ve been givin during my stay. Sure there’s discomfort and sacrifices, but your sobriety and mental health is far more important. We need you and you matter! Recovery village truly saved my life. Would recommend to anyone.

I have been a patient here for almost ten years, and I feel like the way I’ve been treated has been iffy.
Firstly, I have no problems with the clinicians I saw. My NP and Case Manager were good, and they helped me at my lowest point.
My issue is with the front desk and billing. They cancel appointments on me without my permission and don’t tell me until my next appointment. They also refused to change my name in their system, despite it being legally changed. I had to self-pay because they wouldn’t use my legal name, and they also sent me to get lab work under my old name, which as a non-binary individual was very crappy of them to do.
This place advertises as a “safe space” for queer people, but they don’t act like it
