Got sent into FWR by the judge.. unwillingly, angry, and wanting to run so badly it kept me up at night for weeks. Somehow I got lucky enough to get the perfect counselor.. and she kept me sane. Fayette Womens Residential saved me.....I was able to go in and actually tell people who I had never seen before my whole life. I was one who had to stay there twice and hada long journey of a prison stay before I was able to go home and live a life. I grew very close to the councelors there...I even wrote them from prison and let them know my progress and what I was doing that they taught me to be sober. Even after leaving prison and going home I knew that life would not be easy. I had to prepair myself for the fact I would never see my father again. I lost him in prison to an overdose to the evil drug that tore me down. I knew that I would never use heroin again! Today still 3 and a half years off heroin its a struggle. Ladies its not am easy road. Hard work has to be put in to remain sober! I just wanted to share a little about my experience there. Thanks so much all of you for helping me. I'm sure you know who I am! Thanks!

Brightview in Wilmington, Ohio has truly been a lifesaver for me. The staff there is truly compassionate and caring. I was an emotional mess when I first stopped there. I didn’t even have an appointment, but I knew I had to get help right away. I’ll be forever grateful to the nurse, Linda, who came to my aid. She welcomed me and my tears with open arms. All of the other staff are truly amazing as well. My Dr. Don truly has a heart of gold and my counselor Lisa is Heaven Sent! I’ve never felt judged or uncomfortable in any way. Everyone that works there is amazing! My thanks goes out to Paula, Lola, Amanda and ALL the staff that have been there to help me through the struggles life has thrown at me this last year. I can’t recall all the names of the other smiling faces that greet me each time I go there, but they all have a way of making me feel like I’m seeing a friend. Awesome job, Brightview! I really feel like God guided my way to you! Thank you!

The VA is by Far Much Better than it ever was. I would go here before going anywhere in the private medical system. Everyone is kind and they actually care about your health. I can't say enough about the Chillicothe VA just always awesome experience.

I was a long time patient with the VA hospital in Chilliocthe OH. 2007 til 2026 when I moved to Lexington KY. My experience with the VA hospital in Lexington KY has me already looking to relocate back to Chilliocthe OH. The nurse practitioner I was assigned to immediately began chastising and berating me for not electing to do radiation therapy. This was in the first 30 seconds of my appointment. She then began to describe in vivid detail how my cancer will spread across my face if I don't do radiation therapy. I am beyond appalled that a so called medical professional would stoop to using scare tactics and personal intimadation to pressure me to take a treatment plan I have already told 4 doctors I don't want to go down that path. I am seriously considering moving back to Ohio.

I have to say I had such a great experience at Highland District Hospital. Coming from someone who works at a high known hospital in the cincinnati area, I will choose to go to Highland every time. I was treated with such great care and treated like I was a family member. Everyone was so kind and answered every concern with the upmost respect. Such a wonderful place. A member of my family goes here and they are always so nice and forgiving. Weve missed a couple appointments and they have yet to fire her as a patient. Her counselor Ally is amazing and makes her feel special. I cant believe I cant remember the front desk ladies name but she rocks too! And theyre always on time. The doctor is unique in a good way. If you dont understand something shell sit and talk to you for however long you need to understand. Hands down a great place for some mental health treatment!

The Warden is Awesome- How do I know because the way the staff respects her and the love she demonstrates when she walks through the visitation room. My experience with this place has been pretty great! My son has ADHD and he has always gotten good counseling and they've even listened to my issues to a certain extent also as a way to help my son. Also, the doctor that my son sees is very good with him and very careful not to over-medicate. Occasional trouble getting in touch with someone there would be my only issue.

They have been amazing after I moved in they helped me find a new job, when I found out that it would be remote they set me up for success in the house. Their structure has help keep me sober.

I've been here at The Recovery Village in Groveport since September 16th. Its been the best experience of Recovery I've ever experienced, the staff is great, food is great and the rooms are awesome. Brightview is by far the best treatment center I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few. If you truly want to stay sober and have a great life then you should go and check them out. I went to residential this fall. The staff is just incredible. There is someone there for you 24/7. Only 15 beds so you really can work on your recovery with the smaller groups. They will help you with your aftercare program and after you leave will always be there for you if you need them.

I took the 8 hour drive only to turn around and come home. I didn't like the vibe. I kept seeing cedar oaks come up on my searches. So I decided to call. BEST decision I've ever made. The staff saved my life!! Shout out to Dee Dee. I can't even describe the bond that we had from the get go! And I miss her terribly.I could never put into words what the staff did for me. I am 47 days sober and that is the longest period I've ever gone. Quiet atmosphere. Amazing staff. In the middle of nowhere. I recently completed a 30-day stay at this residential alcohol rehab facility, and I can honestly say it was a life-changing experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, supported, and genuinely cared for by the entire staff. The nursing support staff was absolutely incredible — compassionate, empathetic, attentive, and always willing to listen. They made a difficult process feel much more manageable, and their kindness truly stood out. The BHT staff was equally wonderful: friendly, engaging, supportive, and always encouraging throughout my stay. The group sessions were one of the most impactful parts of the program. They provided deep personal insight, practical tools for long-term success, and created a strong sense of connection and support among peers. I left with a much greater sense of self-awareness and confidence moving forward in recovery. The environment itself was peaceful and healing. The facility sits on 112 acres of beautiful wooded surroundings that created a serene, calm, and tranquil atmosphere perfect for recovery and reflection. The activities offered were thoughtful, relaxing, and helped promote both mental and emotional wellness. The accommodations were comfortable, with adequate living space, private bathrooms, and comfortable beds that made the stay feel safe and relaxing. The food was another unexpected highlight — meals prepared by the executive chefs were consistently amazing and far exceeded expectations. Overall, I would highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking help with recovery. The combination of caring staff, meaningful programming, beautiful surroundings, and supportive community made this an experience I will always be grateful for. Truly a 5-star program.

I'm asking about the program actually. At detox how is it exactly? Are the women and guys around one another? As well as the php and housing with the classes. Do you have groups and all that with the opposite sex? It's kind of a distraction for me that's why I am asking lol but while I'm here how is the food and are there TV's in the detox rooms and basically is it comfortable?
