I cannot speak anything but appreciation and gratitude for Rob’s Ranch. I gained all the tools I needed to live a happy and sober life through the group and individual sessions as well as the fellowship with other clients. The counselors are incredible, they truly care about their clients and it shows even after discharge. The entire staff is courteous and respectful, the amenities are great and the campus is beautiful. 10/10 would recommend to anyone seeking help and believe this is one of the best facilities to do so.

Hands down the best VA I’ve ever been to. Top Reasons: Service, Speed of Availability, Quality Care and Follow Up. My opinion is based upon other states Such as Central Texas and Southern California locations. Here in Oklahoma I was able to accomplish more as a Traveling Veteran in 1 month than I could ever have imagined in comparison to the other two states. When they say they look after their veterans they stand behind their words. I wasn’t pushed to the sidelines and told to wait weeks or months for the next available appointment. So to all of the staff doctors, PA’s, Nurses and volunteers you have my 🫡.

I went to this facility 2 times as a teenager. The last time I was there I stayed for 3 months. This place became like my home and it provided me structure and a community to get me ready for the real world. I had so many amazing staff that impacted me. I recently visited this so-called “clinic”, or what is ostensibly referred to as one by our city’s information framework (211), hoping to find support and medical assistance for my substance dependence. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I anticipated, deeply highlighting the systemic issues within our public health framework, particularly for individuals seeking help for addiction. Upon arrival, it became immediately clear that this facility's primary function seemed more aligned with securing funding rather than offering tangible medical assistance. Despite their insistence on having patients in withdrawal present in person, they offered no medication, no immediate relief, or substantial care—just a series of invasive questions and paperwork, primarily focused on financial assessments and eligibility for government assistance. The clinic provided a list of other facilities for further help, yet most didn't offer the necessary treatments, like Suboxone, which is essential for opioid recovery. The person I met with actually tried to push resources for Methadone clinics on me, despite me being happy with my on-going Suboxone treatment. When I said I needed resources that offered Suboxone, not Methadone, she actually said “yeah some people are ~~really particular~~ with what they take”. People reading this who know the difference between Suboxone and methadone, will understand how shocking this aloofness is when conflating Suboxone and methadone treatments. Instead, this “resource center”/so-called “clinic” seemed to operate on a referral basis, contributing little to my urgent healthcare needs. The process felt impersonal and detached, with a stark lack of empathy or understanding from the staff, who clearly had no medical background whatsoever. Moreover, the dialogue around mental health was shockingly blunt and insensitive. During my intake, the discussion of suicidal ideation was handled with a graphic frankness that felt more harmful than helpful, lacking the nuanced care such discussions warrant. She actually said “are your suicidal thoughts like ‘I want to put a g-n in my mouth and blow my brains out’ or are they ‘I just wish I didn’t wake up in the morning’” Obviously the later is fine, the former however, could easily be phrased in a much less triggering way. The facility itself was confusingly branded, blurring the lines between a clinic and a resource center, which only added to my frustration. The environment and approach felt akin to a bureaucratic loop, where the priority was on process rather than patient care. It was akin to a Catholic “Pregnancy Center”, if you know what I mean. It was quite clearly an intentional barrier to care. In essence, my time at this so-called “clinic” was not just disappointing but deeply disillusioning, reflecting a broader systemic failure to adequately support individuals in their most vulnerable moments. It underscored a harsh reality: the path to recovery and support within our current system in Texas is fraught with obstacles, leaving many to navigate a labyrinthine process that feels designed to deter rather than assist. And it doesn’t have to be this way! I’ve lived in a couple other states and their medical system is soooo much more efficient. Texas’ system is riddled with intentional systemic and institutional violence. My experience is a testament to the urgent need for reform within our public health systems, especially in Texas, where the battle against substance dependence requires not just medical intervention but compassionate, accessible, and effective care.

Thanks to this place I’ve been sober for almost 5 years straight! I got my dream job working as a veterinarian assistant and have a wonderful relationship with all my kids. Absolutely phenomenal staff and positive environment for anyone looking to detox and get clean. The staff are all very kind and supportive, the patient living area is always clean, they provide tons of free snacks available at all hours if you're hungry, and the meals served three times daily are very high quality and delicious. They also make enough for everyone to have at least two portions/seconds for every meal, so you'll never be hungry. I'm 38, and have been through TRC four times in my life since I was 19. Every time has been a positive and healing experience. In just one week their care helped return my strength of body and spirit. They will also help you find rehabilitation centers to go to after your detox if you wish, or sober living if you wish to go straight into, say, am Oxford House or other sober living environment. I'd give them seven stars if I could. Thank you, TRC! You helped save my life!

(TJ) This was THE greatest decision i have ever made every negative comment you have seen on trc is absolutely ridiculous and most likely people that were entitled and not getting their way i can’t complain about anything from EVERY single worker to the FOOD was the greatest service ive ever had if you do what your supposed to do and keep a great head on your shoulders you will get through your time quick i just wanna thank shannon, felicia, erin, david, tammy, shay, codi cane and alot of other workers for the fact that they really cared about the patients and the job i also want to thank vaughn for the greatest therapy group sessions ive ever been in you guys really made it easy on me and i cant thank you guys enough. i dont really like how people talk about the food because honestly i was eating greater than i ever been on the outside i know love is a strong word but i love you guys sooo much i literally cried while leaving lol. last but not least dont let the negative comments scare you away like it did me i was supposed to go the week before i did but i allowed the comments to push me away and that was the worst mistake ever i promise if you just go and treat people how you want to be treated you will be absolutely fine they don’t talk “crap” on people that actually wanna TRY they say something about the people that want to act a fool which is absolutely understandable the medication helps majorly you will gain an appetite and PLEASE go to the groups i know people think its not worth it but i promise you it is it will help your days go by so much faster im heavy on the lord but vaughn respects the people who aren’t and doesn’t really talk about it in the groups but if you do then you can have 1 on 1 conversations about it thank you sooo much TRC and WHEN i beat this year of sobriety i will definitely be looking to work with you guys sincerely TJ❤️

I just want to say Justin’s light house changed my life and everything I was going threw. I was addicted to meth and got into some trouble and found Justin’s light house. The owners Myles and Tina Lewis are the sweetest people and I owe so much to them helping me getting me off drugs. God was there for me to. I prayed when I first got there for him to help me with all of the mess I was in. I meet alot of sweet girls there and are still very good friends with one of them. We had some good times there. This place made recovery fun. If I ever had to go back I would pick this place. I don’t see that happening cause they did such a good job.
