My name is Jo and i have to tell you, Hotel California gave me my life back. i was so lost in my addiction to alcohol and marijuana, i lost my self as a mother, a partner, and my own self identity. Hotel helped me rediscover me again, they helped me to build a routine and to fill the time i was using, numbing, with meetings, new connections, and purpose. I found Jo again! The staff is wonderful, I got frustrated at times, mostly when I wasn't wanting to listen or accept change. If you truly work the program, you will come back on top of your life, plus the chef makes some KILLER food! And there is ALWAYS coffee at the AA meetings! The outings are fun too, this last week they took us to the mall and i spent all of my time at the arcade, while others shopped, we just had to meet back up at the set time! If you choose hotel, and stay all the way through, the feeling of accomplishment will amaze you, and being sober freaking rocks by the way! I was afraid I would never have fun again, now i find myself enjoying life again, without substance. If you think youve hit rock bottom, or youre almost there, let Hotel save you, its worth it!

The negative reviews are mostly people that push the limits of their program and try to game the system. Yes there is hope you have to jump through when you start and precovid there were a lot more of them. Now they have streamlined the system so aslong as you are stable and showing up when your supposed to it’s as simple as spending a few minutes at a time you choose between 6am-12pm waiting to get your meds and go once or twice a month. The dosing staff and doctors are doing their best to work with getting everyone in as few times as possible while making sure you are doing what you’re supposed to be doing the only real negative is the other clients can be a lot to handle when you are trying to get clean in the beginning if they aren’t. Front desk staff and councilor turn over is roughly every two years but that’s the average in the industry so bake that in to your plan. All the way around this is the high water mark for MAT clinics in the state and your alternative is to keep suffering day to day waiting on deadbest people that don’t care about you. SIGN UP TODAY you won’t regret it.

i’ve been to a few of these clinics in my life, This is a really good one. I got off to a slow start though. Hint: *make sure the doctor is in that day, if you want to get it done fast!. and if you’re trying to get on meds the same day, get there real early. Staff is friendly, patient, Doctor is amazing, Only good to say after three months.

This place is what I needed as a invert to my problems. They held me accountable, they got me sober and they are keeping me that way. It doable while working with how fast the visits are. They aren't therapist but they talk to you about the one thing youre their for.

So to preface, I’m giving my current therapist 5 stars 100%. She’s super helpful and has been a tremendous help!! As for past care, I’d say it’s quite rocky. Some therapists and psychiatrists that I worked with were good, while others not so much. Maybe we just didn’t fit, maybe they just weren’t that good, who cares. I think this is a great place to get help when you need it. If I wasn’t seeing my current therapist I’d probably rate a 3 or lower because trying to contact psychiatrists, can be a grueling process when in between appointments. And sometimes it felt like I was a “trial run” with some seemingly inexperienced therapists. As seen by reviews though, you have to have your own experience here to draw a conclusion on if you like it.

I entered this facility last week when I was moments away from catastrophe, skeptical, hopeless, angry at myself, and embarrassed. They saved my life, which seemed unimaginable to me 7 days ago. If someone I loved and cared about was ever in the situation I was in, I would recommend this world-class hospital. Everyone’s experience is different and I understand why there is volatility in the ratings here. I’ll grade specific aspects to paint a better picture of my experience: Care team: A+ Every encounter I had with every nurse, social worker, mental health counselor, and security guard was positive. Everyone seemed to genuinely care about the patients, each of which had diverse needs and circumstances. I have no idea how they assembled all of these talented and compassionate people on one team. Each person had their own unique approach and areas of expertise, but everyone maintained the same standard. I wish I had written down names while I was there, but I’m especially grateful to Sonja and staff. Facilities: A Every square inch of this place was designed with patients in mind. The private rooms are like a boutique hotel with a beach vibe, each coming with their own private bathroom, custom room-by-room temperatures with centralized air, sound machines, light dimmers, and yoga mats. If it weren’t for small reminders that I was in a psych ward, such as no toilet seats, it would seem like I was at a resort. The common area shares the same level of quality, with ice machines, TVs, quiet rooms, and activities. The jail-quality beds and pillows are the only con. Security and safety: A I was envisioning a room full of dangerous and violent psychiatric patients that would potentially require me to defend myself. Instead, I encountered a group of terrific and pleasant people. There were 0 seconds in which I felt unsafe, and there are measures like 24/7 security, cameras, removal of unsafe objects, & room checks that protect patients and staff. This isn’t a place you need to sleep with 1 eye open or worry about physical safety. Food: B Depends on what you get, but it was pretty good. 3 meals per day, snacks in the fridge, and nighttime tea. Upper echelon hospital food & Starbucks coffee. Autonomy: B- There are a lot of rules and while they are necessary, it was difficult to adjust. Still, the staff takes steps to ensure patients have freedoms within the confines of those rules, such as cordless phones that patients can access at any time. Visits are 2X a day and it was so nice to have a visitor in my room. Psychiatrist: F It isn’t surprising that many negative reviews center around the psychiatry aspect. During my 1st appointment with Dr. Avila, I was prescribed powerful antipsychotics. When I asked about options, I was met with hostility, which shocked me. I started thinking I might be imagining conflict, but each appointment became progressively more uncomfortable. I was accused of not taking part in the program, which was so disappointing because asking for help in the first place was so incredibly difficult (I preferred death a day before I came in). When I couldn’t immediately commit to an outpatient program, as I wasn’t sure if I would be on leave, he told me leave was for people who were actually trying to get better. On the day I was ready to go home, he placed me on a hold and threatened me with detainment at an involuntary facility. I asked to see the laws he was citing to better understand my rights, and he became irate. As someone who hates seeking help, this was all of my worst nightmares come true. I didn’t chat with other patients about this, as I didn’t want to interfere with their journeys by creating a weird environment. Unsurprisingly, I was cleared in 5 minutes when I was finally evaluated by someone else. Overall: A+ I don’t think I’d be here if I picked another facility. If you’re on the fence about taking the brave step to enter this place, I hope you reach out for help. 5 stars.

I was here in 2018 and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff were all very kind, I felt like people cared that I was there, and as an added plus, the food was amazing. It was still inpatient, definitely, but I would recommend this hospital before I would recommend anywhere else. The shortest stay possible is about 4 days, which is incredible. I truly felt cared for, and received much of the help I needed. I also applied for financial assistance and didn’t have to pay a single penny for my stay.

I’ve been to IOP before. This treatment center is outstanding. Everyone that works there including the owner are in recovery. The counselors are understanding and they really care about your recovery. Compared to other treatment centers that are only interested in your money.

Saul is great. Very respectful and kind and good at his job. Makes you feel welcomed. The clinic is not comfortable or inviting. The patients don't have access to the patient portal and my psychiatrist told me that it is because of "our population."

EA works hard to provide individualized support to each student that arrives on campus. Whether a student needs housing, counseling, help with recovery, family support, or more, the team works hard to see them as an individual and consider the things that will allow them to not only receive an education, but to flourish. For the unfortunate circumstances of which made me attend ATA, it was a great experience I had sessions with Winston via zoom and he did a great job sharing info and involving me in discussion. There were a lot of eye opening conversations that you don’t think about until you have that moment to finally stop and discuss. Laura is hands down one of, if not the best marital counselors I have met. She met me right where I was at, asked the tough questions of us both to get to the root of challenges. Her straightforward, no BS approach is awesome and effective. Laura has a great capacity for empathy when needed, patience where indicated and a vast knowledge of modalities. I’m a past client of A Place of Hope. My experience was a personal, professional and personalized program. It literally brought me out of complete self-despair. For anyone who surfers from anxiety, depression, drug abuse, personal abuse, mental disorders, PTSD, suicidal remuneration, abandonment or divorce, this was me . I recommend you at least stop in and be evaluated and go through A Place of Hope’s interview process. Be prepared for an accountability, being treated with respect and challenged to look inward, with a support network to walk alongside of you, with compassion. For me personally, this helped reframe my thinking and within my 30 day program. I left with a feeling of respect for others, myself and a new understanding of self-worth. As an alumni, I recently reached out to the Center for some personal assistance with my own self-care. Within hours the staff accompanied my request, gave me a plethora of resources to assist me. Offered me a book to be sent to my home, that they said, “You may find it helpful”. They also reminded me that I have access to their weekly Zoom meetings, for peer support. I’m grateful for there support and for me it’s was this support that reminded me the Center is there still for me in a time of need. Life continues to happen and we never know when you may need to ask for help. It’s ok to ask for help. You don’t have to do it alone. I’ll close with this. The Center saved my life, and changed my life forever. I have never felt so cared for as I did here. The structure is just like it was in school— and the housing reminded me of dorms! And the housing is free, so it allows you the opportunity to start fresh. The sense of community paired with the support of the staff makes a difference. I was actually sad to leave! (Also, being 5 minutes from the ocean…so worth it haha) For those struggling with addiction (EDs, Alcohol, etc) this is the place to go.

I’m very thankful for the care and support provided by Northpoint Recovery (Everett campus). From the start, the entire staff were compassionate, professional, and genuinely caring. They created an environment where it felt safe to be honest, ask questions, and focus on recovery while learning practical tools to move forward. What stood out most was the way the staff treated each person with dignity and respect regardless of their DOC, background, or age. The counselors genuinely relate to what you’re going through, which makes it easier to open up and feel understood. The combination of structure, support, and acceptance made a difficult experience feel much more manageable. The convenient location, ample parking, and provided snacks & beverages were a bonus. Olalla was a life changing experience and gave me the tools I needed to get and stay sober. Kevin, my counselor, is an amazing and compassionate person who guided me through the recovery process. The Olalla staff are kind and patient and were always willing to give me the help I absolutely needed. The treatment center is located on was a hilltop forest overlooking Puget Sound, which is incredibly beautiful and the perfect environment for recovery. Walking the trail surrounding the property every morning was awesome. The food is wonderful and there is lots of it. I would recommend this treatment center to anyone who is serious about getting sober!!

I was at Ollala back in March of 2024 for a 28 days inpatient stay. It was the best decision of my life., and credit this experience and all I learned about addiction and myself for my continued sobriety today.The entire experience here at Ollala was incredible.
