My name is Jo and i have to tell you, Hotel California gave me my life back. i was so lost in my addiction to alcohol and marijuana, i lost my self as a mother, a partner, and my own self identity. Hotel helped me rediscover me again, they helped me to build a routine and to fill the time i was using, numbing, with meetings, new connections, and purpose. I found Jo again! The staff is wonderful, I got frustrated at times, mostly when I wasn't wanting to listen or accept change. If you truly work the program, you will come back on top of your life, plus the chef makes some KILLER food! And there is ALWAYS coffee at the AA meetings! The outings are fun too, this last week they took us to the mall and i spent all of my time at the arcade, while others shopped, we just had to meet back up at the set time! If you choose hotel, and stay all the way through, the feeling of accomplishment will amaze you, and being sober freaking rocks by the way! I was afraid I would never have fun again, now i find myself enjoying life again, without substance. If you think youve hit rock bottom, or youre almost there, let Hotel save you, its worth it!

I was obviously not doing well when I came here, but I was met with the compassionate care that I needed to get physically well from the staff, and the connection I was craving from my fellow clients – several of which have become friends I hope to have for a lifetime. This was my first (and ideally last) time in treatment, so the staff, other clients, and the opportunities this program has given me will always hold an extremely special place in my heart. Shoutout to Sidney, Carrigan, Brandon, Travis, Kimberly, Scotty, Laura, Ana, Stephanie, Tina, Michael, Julio, Keith, Christina, Maddy, Crystal, Bruno, and Adam for putting my ass back together. 10/10 recommend

my experience was near perfect, they make sure to keep you safe sober and fed most of the staff is amazing, only complaint is that lisa as a case manager was not a good experience. other than that it’s a great place to get sober

The negative reviews are mostly people that push the limits of their program and try to game the system. Yes there is hope you have to jump through when you start and precovid there were a lot more of them. Now they have streamlined the system so aslong as you are stable and showing up when your supposed to it’s as simple as spending a few minutes at a time you choose between 6am-12pm waiting to get your meds and go once or twice a month. The dosing staff and doctors are doing their best to work with getting everyone in as few times as possible while making sure you are doing what you’re supposed to be doing the only real negative is the other clients can be a lot to handle when you are trying to get clean in the beginning if they aren’t. Front desk staff and councilor turn over is roughly every two years but that’s the average in the industry so bake that in to your plan. All the way around this is the high water mark for MAT clinics in the state and your alternative is to keep suffering day to day waiting on deadbest people that don’t care about you. SIGN UP TODAY you won’t regret it.

i’ve been to a few of these clinics in my life, This is a really good one. I got off to a slow start though. Hint: *make sure the doctor is in that day, if you want to get it done fast!. and if you’re trying to get on meds the same day, get there real early. Staff is friendly, patient, Doctor is amazing, Only good to say after three months.

I have been through four rehabs. I came to ATA because my attorney sent me to them. I was arrested for DUI. My checkered past with rehabs came from jobs or family members pressuring me. I ignored everything until I was arrested. I had a blackout and drove. I could have killed people. Everyday I see the news and read about people who drive drunk and killed people. I am blessed not to be in the news. My assessment from ATA opened my eyes. I have had a lot of violence and trauma in my life, but I have to take responsibility for my choices in life. I am grateful for the compassion and guidelines i got from the relapse prevention program. ATA did everything to make me grow. They did not lock me into a never ending program for their own profit.

I’ve been to IOP before. This treatment center is outstanding. Everyone that works there including the owner are in recovery. The counselors are understanding and they really care about your recovery. Compared to other treatment centers that are only interested in your money.

I entered this facility last week when I was moments away from catastrophe, skeptical, hopeless, angry at myself, and embarrassed. They saved my life, which seemed unimaginable to me 7 days ago. If someone I loved and cared about was ever in the situation I was in, I would recommend this world-class hospital. Everyone’s experience is different and I understand why there is volatility in the ratings here. I’ll grade specific aspects to paint a better picture of my experience: Care team: A+ Every encounter I had with every nurse, social worker, mental health counselor, and security guard was positive. Everyone seemed to genuinely care about the patients, each of which had diverse needs and circumstances. I have no idea how they assembled all of these talented and compassionate people on one team. Each person had their own unique approach and areas of expertise, but everyone maintained the same standard. I wish I had written down names while I was there, but I’m especially grateful to Sonja and staff. Facilities: A Every square inch of this place was designed with patients in mind. The private rooms are like a boutique hotel with a beach vibe, each coming with their own private bathroom, custom room-by-room temperatures with centralized air, sound machines, light dimmers, and yoga mats. If it weren’t for small reminders that I was in a psych ward, such as no toilet seats, it would seem like I was at a resort. The common area shares the same level of quality, with ice machines, TVs, quiet rooms, and activities. The jail-quality beds and pillows are the only con. Security and safety: A I was envisioning a room full of dangerous and violent psychiatric patients that would potentially require me to defend myself. Instead, I encountered a group of terrific and pleasant people. There were 0 seconds in which I felt unsafe, and there are measures like 24/7 security, cameras, removal of unsafe objects, & room checks that protect patients and staff. This isn’t a place you need to sleep with 1 eye open or worry about physical safety. Food: B Depends on what you get, but it was pretty good. 3 meals per day, snacks in the fridge, and nighttime tea. Upper echelon hospital food & Starbucks coffee. Autonomy: B- There are a lot of rules and while they are necessary, it was difficult to adjust. Still, the staff takes steps to ensure patients have freedoms within the confines of those rules, such as cordless phones that patients can access at any time. Visits are 2X a day and it was so nice to have a visitor in my room. Psychiatrist: F It isn’t surprising that many negative reviews center around the psychiatry aspect. During my 1st appointment with Dr. Avila, I was prescribed powerful antipsychotics. When I asked about options, I was met with hostility, which shocked me. I started thinking I might be imagining conflict, but each appointment became progressively more uncomfortable. I was accused of not taking part in the program, which was so disappointing because asking for help in the first place was so incredibly difficult (I preferred death a day before I came in). When I couldn’t immediately commit to an outpatient program, as I wasn’t sure if I would be on leave, he told me leave was for people who were actually trying to get better. On the day I was ready to go home, he placed me on a hold and threatened me with detainment at an involuntary facility. I asked to see the laws he was citing to better understand my rights, and he became irate. As someone who hates seeking help, this was all of my worst nightmares come true. I didn’t chat with other patients about this, as I didn’t want to interfere with their journeys by creating a weird environment. Unsurprisingly, I was cleared in 5 minutes when I was finally evaluated by someone else. Overall: A+ I don’t think I’d be here if I picked another facility. If you’re on the fence about taking the brave step to enter this place, I hope you reach out for help. 5 stars.

I was here in 2018 and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The staff were all very kind, I felt like people cared that I was there, and as an added plus, the food was amazing. It was still inpatient, definitely, but I would recommend this hospital before I would recommend anywhere else. The shortest stay possible is about 4 days, which is incredible. I truly felt cared for, and received much of the help I needed. I also applied for financial assistance and didn’t have to pay a single penny for my stay.

So to preface, I’m giving my current therapist 5 stars 100%. She’s super helpful and has been a tremendous help!! As for past care, I’d say it’s quite rocky. Some therapists and psychiatrists that I worked with were good, while others not so much. Maybe we just didn’t fit, maybe they just weren’t that good, who cares. I think this is a great place to get help when you need it. If I wasn’t seeing my current therapist I’d probably rate a 3 or lower because trying to contact psychiatrists, can be a grueling process when in between appointments. And sometimes it felt like I was a “trial run” with some seemingly inexperienced therapists. As seen by reviews though, you have to have your own experience here to draw a conclusion on if you like it.

Will update my review in the future if needed. So far care has been excellent, I did a walk-in and got an intake the same day, then got assigned a counselor right away who has been on time and communicative about appointments. Starting med management soon, the waitlist was actually shorter than estimated. Friendly front desk staff. Clean and attractive facility with good privacy features. Can always find a parking space in the medium-sized parking lot.

I was in Thira's Partial Hospitalization Program for 8 weeks, followed by 7 weeks in their Intensive Outpatient Program. While I experienced some pretty significant problems (their therapist called me a liar in my first session, and their process for getting switched to a different therapist was appalling; medications were not always dispensed on time; etc.), overall my experience was positive. The other patients and most of the staff increased my success in the programs. I continue to use the DBT skills I learned on a daily basis. The most important measure is that my depression and anxiety are dramatically improved from when I started there. Thira was a big part of that.

Im not one to do reviews but Thira 100% saved my life, you have to know that no mental health facility is going to be perfect and that treatment isn’t a magic wand or a fix all. However you also have to know people here care and they along with DBT do provide a foundation with strong support of which you can build off of though and start a new. You are the biggest part of your recovery though! If you don’t try, you will get nothing out of it, they make trying easier. I am so thankful for this experience and the therapists I had and technicians and nurses as they all worked together beautifully. The vibe was not fake and there are problems, like anyplace however if you put in the effort, there’s no telling what you cant do. Your there because you hit rock bottom which trust me I know sucks, and it’s also the best thing about it because now there’s no where you can go but up, if you let Thira help you build that ladder at least from my experience, you will be climbing up again soon enough and with more ability than you ever have been able to before. Its not over and don’t let others distract from your journey or progress, its not about them, its about you.

I have been through four rehabs. I came to ATA because my attorney sent me to them. I was arrested for DUI. My checkered past with rehabs came from jobs or family members pressuring me. I ignored everything until I was arrested. I had a blackout and drove. I could have killed people. Everyday I see the news and read about people who drive drunk and killed people. I am blessed not to be in the news. My assessment from ATA opened my eyes. I have had a lot of violence and trauma in my life, but I have to take responsibility for my choices in life. I am grateful for the compassion and guidelines i got from the relapse prevention program. ATA did everything to make me grow. They did not lock me into a never ending program for their own profit.

Olalla was a life changing experience and gave me the tools I needed to get and stay sober. Kevin, my counselor, is an amazing and compassionate person who guided me through the recovery process. The Olalla staff are kind and patient and were always willing to give me the help I absolutely needed. The treatment center is located on was a hilltop forest overlooking Puget Sound, which is incredibly beautiful and the perfect environment for recovery. Walking the trail surrounding the property every morning was awesome. The food is wonderful and there is lots of it. I would recommend this treatment center to anyone who is serious about getting sober!!

It was the best decision of my life., and credit this experience and all I learned about addiction and myself for my continued sobriety today.The entire experience here at Ollala was incredible.
