When I first started therapy, I was carrying years of stress, trauma, and trying to make sense of things that honestly made me question myself. From day one, she created a space where I never felt judged. I could tell her anything, and no matter what I brought into session, she always met me with compassion, honesty, and kindness. One thing she’ll probably never realize is how many times she reminded me that I wasn’t crazy. When you’ve been through unhealthy relationships and years of questioning your own reality, hearing someone validate your feelings while also helping you see things objectively is life-changing. She never once pushed her own beliefs or opinions on me. She didn’t tell me what decisions to make. Instead, she gave me the tools to think through things myself and helped me trust my own judgment again. That’s something I’ll carry with me forever. She also showed me what a healthy therapeutic relationship is supposed to look like. She taught me that it’s okay to lean on my friends without expecting them to carry the weight that belongs in a therapist’s office. She helped me understand healthy boundaries, healthier relationships, and that healing doesn’t have to look perfect or happen on anyone else’s timeline. She was there through one of the hardest chapters of my life as I finally left my marriage for good. She listened to every fear, every setback, every win, and every moment where I felt completely overwhelmed. Somehow, every session ended with me feeling just a little bit lighter than when I walked in. I’m also grateful that she taught me it’s okay to grieve in my own way. Healing isn’t linear, and she never made me feel like I was taking too long or doing it the “wrong” way. She reminded me over and over that my process was my own, and that meant more than she’ll probably ever know. I’m genuinely heartbroken that she’s leaving because finding a therapist like her isn’t easy. While I’m so excited for this next chapter in her career, selfishly, I wish she wasn’t going anywhere. Thank you for helping me through one of the darkest seasons of my life. Thank you for listening without judgment, for reminding me of my strength when I couldn’t see it myself, for helping me rebuild my confidence, and for showing me what an incredible clinician is supposed to be. I was privileged both times with wonderful clinicians, whom always made me feel respected and understood. My time with this facility has provided me with invaluable insight to my inner-workings. Around 12/2025 I requested my medical records through the Forge website, as per instructed, and never recieved them. ( I have medicaid. Which makes me less fortunate then others who pay for there insurance) so after about a year and a half. I thibk due to the telahealth aspect people are more willing to dig into there traumas and passed. I can only hope they 1 day accept medicaid again not only for me but all the other addicts and alcoholics who cant afford insurance to 1 day be able to receive treatment in the same manor I did.
