It was pretty good although the units are a bit run down and dirty and you don't get nearly enough water as they only give you small 8oz cups and no one wants to ask for a refill over and over. Other than that the staff was nice except for one nurse Denean on Bravo 1 and Daniel also on Bravo 1.

I started my Recovery on March 16, 2020. Prior to that I I had spent over 30 years in some type of constant active use. I have been arrested more times than I can count. I had not gone 12 consecutive months without being arrested since I was 12 years old. I had no goals, no direction, no unalienated relationships, no mental health counseling, no insurance, no driver's license no self-respect and -sadly- no purpose through those years.
The first thing I decided to do in the beginning stages of my Recovery was to seek help from a local Drug and Alcohol center. The decision came from the advice of a person that worked with the Catholic Social Services. She introduced me to DATS. Since then I have had a LIFE, a real life, a life I pride myself on.
They care, DATS does, they help anyway possible and they give the tools to succeed. It is those tools that built the foundation of my life in Recovery.
I worked for this life, I committed to the changes I made. DATS was there, cheering me on, through the entirety of it and continue to do so even today.
I recommend not listing to the complaints, they all seemed to blame DATS for their own choices in life. Burning family bridges, relapsing, financial hardships or violating probation and parole isn't anyone's "fault."
They're the culmination of choices one makes.
So if you're looking for help with Recovery you will find no better organization.

One would think that if the VA knew that people were retiring or moving on they would have mentored the next person coming on board. VA doesn't do that. Part defunding and part people retiring. The unit I'm on has 30 Veterans with one Therapist.
364B staff suck. They only listen to their own truth. Overlook people smoking or even some not being pissed tested like the rest of us. Since the problem was coming from Female nurses, I requested to only deal with Male nurses. Tina, a female nurse who used to be with Corrections, after Id asked, went out her way to ask if I needed something. I'll post her name when I find out.
I had a nurse named Hola lie about my 8 pm check in. At medication time I stated That the truth doesn't mind being questioned. That remark got me two weeks "Behavior modification". And they for some unknown reason wouldn't allow anyone to check the cameras as I suggested. Makes no sense. I was unwilling to play these VA games.

My 4yr old daughter and myself lived in fountain springs for 6months and I truly believe that without the lady's who run the facility i would have lost my daughter to cys. well I am going to give it a five star because if it wasn't for the evergreen program itself I would have never made it in society. I spent the majority of my adult life in prison, I needed a program to help me learn how to life outside of the walls. This program did that for me. 99% of the staff were amazing. That 1% were power hungry. I did notice that over the yrs the comments left went from great to really bad. Maybe that is something that should be addressed. Please don't just blame it on the client who wrote the survey. Like really look into it... Also I would like to give a major shout out to MS.MADDY , MS.LIZ, Ms.DANA , MS.SOPHIE, MS.BRITTNEY, MS.EBANY, MS.L (sat morning shift) and MS.TEE they really took the ti,e out to help me change my life.

I completed evergreen about 4 months ago. It was rough on some days. The rules (so I thought) were there as a punishment, WRONG, they were in place to teach me responsibility, accountability, routine and much more. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to gone there. Most staff helped me. Some not so much but to be honest that’s going to happen no matter where I would have went. My counselor was absolutely AMAZING. Ms. Maddy really to the time out to help me in any way she could. I am now in the willow way recovery house right out back. I want to thank Ms.Maddy , Ms.Tee, Ms.Liz , Ms. Brittney, Ms. Lorece , Ms, Ebany, Ms.Dana and Ms.Sophie. Because of ya’lls help, encouragement, and belief in me I am thriving and truly living,.

Staff for very supportive of our daughter. Communication was excellent with her therapist and psychiatrist. Discharge planning could have been better. We went over what we needed in place for discharge but only one of those things was on the discharge paperwork. Also, no one explained to us that medications would be sent into our local pharmacy and we are two hours away from the facility. I didn’t get the text from pharmacy until we were already on the road. We barely made it back home (15min) before the pharmacy closed to pick up her medication.

Never heard one thing from the doctor about my daughter's care or her discharge plans which was wild too me ...no one had no problem to call me when she act up ..only two nurses from there would call me ..never once did they do a discharge call I have no clue who her doctor was left messages after messages think u can do way better in that department

The atmosphere here is very comfortable. The counselors are also very easy to talk to. Many people who attended with me had legal issues as well, and this place was more then willing to work with them on their issues. This location is easy to find and has both of street parking and free parking out back. It is easy to notice from the street.

Best rehab I’ve ever been too….all the techs there are great second and third shift and most of them are in recovery… there were many times I felt like I wasn’t going to make it when I left there and couldn’t sleep at night and tech Michaela on 3rd shift was always super helpful sharing her story with people…. I was able to relate to her so much because we have all been through similar things and I appreciate her talking to me all night and helping me whenever I needed it she really goes out of her way and isn’t there just for the money!! It really helped me stay sober shout out to Michaela!! Best tech on night shift

The staff and place are equally beautiful. The good hearted people always checked on my personal needs multiple times a day. The staff becomes your family. A staff member named Eric one night at 3am talked with me telling me his inspirational story and it helped me to feel better and keep going myself. The food is always good. Friday is all you can eat wings!!! This place helped me to love myself and recover who I am as a man not just from addiction. The staff of the Pyramid facility make the recovery process a journey of possibilities and opportunities. The counselor I had the opportunity to work with showed me a type of respect I haven't seen at any other facility. I am grateful for this on a daily basis. Just the small favor of offering a cup of coffee to clients in the morning makes the trip a great way to start the day. The security guards are even a part of the family and friends environment, taking the time to get to know the clients who use the waiting room daily. I am actually a bit bummed, when the administrator at the front window, has taken the day off because, she too, brightens my day and has had me laughing at her silly jokes and birthday songs throughout the past year.

I’d like to start by saying PYRAMID HAS BEEN THE MOST HELP since the beginning. I’ve had my rounds in recovery but this is the place that stuck with. I regained my confidence to be strong and have the power to control myself again. We all fall short at times, but if you want to get up and stay up, this is the place you should check out.

If your reading the reviews for this facility because your planning on getting help or even contemplating getting clean. Let me tell you....DO IT! It saved my life and many of my friends as well. I was scared at first obviously because i didn't want to be sick from the withdrawal. This facility actually does care about your safety and sobriety, your not just a number here. Youll be listened too and treated like a human being unlike a lot of places where your just an addict. Even if your not ready and just have questions, give them a ring....it could actually really change your life. The transition from the street drugs to the methadone was quite painless and I finally got relief. No more going days without and being sick, no more being sick at work, no more being sick around the kids, no more excuses! Long story short I can gladly say that I've been clean for so many years now and I owe it all too pyramid and the staff. I know it sounds silly but making that change and that choice was so scary and hard for me but when I found out how easy it was and how painless it was I felt so silly. You can do it. Make the call, you deserve it!

As a Veteran myself who recognizes privacy issues, I can't share names, but a family member has been staying here. Despite the poor rating of this VA Facility, he states that his treatment has been consistent, the staff has been friendly, and the other patients get along well with no drama. What's sad is that so many veterans have no idea that this hospital is available for the treatment of PTSD, Drug/Alcohol Addiction, Bi-Polar Disease, Anxiety and more - for FREE. Meetings are available daily, and in addition to psychological assistance, medical physicians are available too. The hospital is spotless, you can choose the food you'd like to eat for 3 meals a day, and it tastes 😋 good. TVs 📺 aren't in the room, but they are in the Dayroom, along with pool tables, etc. It's even open to Veterans from other states. Sometimes it's difficult to admit the need for help, but hopefully, someone will take the time to read this and reach out.

I love this VA Center. The staff are excellent! The Physician assigned to me is great. Whenever I have a medical problem, I get an appointment at a reasonable time and they listen to the symptoms I have and do a great job getting to the route cause. The amount of time it takes for labs, x-rays, and MRIs is phenomenal. Words cannot express how thankful I am for their service.

If I could, I would absolutely live at Cove Forge forever!! This place has helped me tremendously... the best facility by far for drug and alcohol dependency combined with behavioral health services in my opinion and I've spent a very good amount of time at others and at Cove Forge and yes, I'd recommend this program/rehab/treatment center for sure!!! Very professional staff who are friendly, kind, and caring at the same time! This place has been my life saver literally on several occasions, ya just gotta keep trying every time if you fail just try again and do not give up, ever!
