Hi. This place may get a lot of negative reviews but it’s because most of the folks that reviewed mces were patients that were told “no”. You cannot do whatever you want when you want to. This place is structured with helpful groups and activities. Maybe they didn’t go. I can’t speak on the medications, but the nurses do not write the orders. The nurses carry out the orders made by the Dr that saw you. Please be patient and be respectful, they are trying to help you. The tech are amazing. There are techs that specialize in many areas such as card players , chess games. Some folks are better than others in the hospitality area but there are others that pick up where some lack. We work together to help y’all out. Some folks need a bit more encouraging to bathe so they may get a gentle push while others; we need to “ move them along” to the shower room. The staff care for all the patients and we do our best to help everyone. The crises area had a big makeover and it is amazing in there, very comfortable . The bathrooms were redone and the food is really good. Yes staff tear that food up too, lol . The snacks seem like they’re for kids, meaning you get a little pudding, a packet of cracked (saltines or graham) jello, chips sometimes and a little juice, but you can have more than 1 . The only reason the rodents were in the rooms was because the patients kept food in their rooms and housekeeping could only do so much . The patients hoard and hide food in the drawers and under the blankets because they try to save it for overnights. But they created that problem with pests. Housekeepers are constantly sweeping mopping the floors. I can say that in the last year, there has not been any pests (new vents) and the food is really good. The snack machines stay full and from a techs perspective, they really try to keep the place up. Housekeepers do not get enough credit. They are amazing. The techs are amazing as well as we do the best we can to accommodate the patients even when they are miserable and needy. We are a service to the county and we didn’t make you come here. Maybe those that complain about the smallest things should reevaluate themselves and get right. As we have all levels of care here. This is not a shelter or a place to hide from the authorities. This is a real psychiatric hospital and we help and treat those in need. We are more than just “3 hots and a cot”. Just know that all staff care about your well being and do our very best to accommodate your needs while you are here. Don’t be so angry that all you do is see red and yelling and cussing everyone out. What can you do to change your circumstances that you put yourselves in. Good luck to anyone in crises and please do not allow the lack of discernment steer you away from getting the help you need.

I would recommend mces for a friend or loved one who is experiencing a mental health issue, especially if that person is a danger to themselves or to others. There are channels to go through before you have them committed. Law enforcement and emergency personnel at the hospital are the beginning. Having the facts in detail of the situation and having all the details are a must. Be as exact as possible when explaining the situation. Don't change your story between what you say to the police and the hospital. Getting them the care from professionals who can handle it properly.

Devon truly stands out for the level of care and support they provide. Our clients consistently report feeling welcomed, supported, and well taken care of from the moment they enter detox through their time in residential treatment. The staff is compassionate, professional, and committed to making sure each individual feels safe and respected during a very vulnerable time. The experience I had at Avenues Bucks was everything I knew I needed and even more I didn’t know I needed. The facility and programming, and especially the staff and clinical team is unwavering in their dedication to the process and clients. Bucks utilizes a combination of accountability and supervision, while allowing me the freedom I needed to create a life of recovery akin to what would be required of me outside of a program. Amazing staff who make sure you’re are well taken care of and comfortable. The chef made incredible food for every meal and stocked the fridge every day with fresh food that we could eat at anytime as well. They also kept the freezer stocked with ice cream and water ice. The facility is cozy and kept very clean. There is a smart tv in every room as well as in the lounge/common area which is set up like a living room. I found the groups helpful. There are 3 hour long groups you can attend but don’t have to and either an AA or NA speakers that comes every night for an hour long meeting. I liked that Sunrise is a smaller facility, having room for about 20 patients. This made it easier to open up and share. You are able to go outside for fresh air or to smoke anytime except during group time. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Sunrise Detox. Thank you to all the staff! You all are amazing!!

I went to sunrise 6/7 for the first time ever and I don’t regret a single thing about. Never been to detox before but the people who work there actually care about you and want you to get better. It only works if you are ready though. The food was amazing everyday, the counselors are there to help you, and the doctors/nurses want what’s best for you. I will 100% be going back there one day to speak to the patients to show them that recovery is possible. They also help you with finding resources after being discharged. I was recommended tk a doctor for the sublocade shot and had it done within two weeks of leaving sunrise. It’s a smaller operation but I found it to be better.

I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to come here. Bri did everything she could to help with FMLA and short term disability. Katie was always available, and made me feel comfortable to share with her the things I need to work on.I was very surprised to receive this amount of individual attention. I was never brushed off or made to feel like anyone was “too busy”. Housing was well maintained and comfortable. Anytime something was needed within the house either a tech, or even Bri and Katie would give us a ride to a nearby store. Highly recommended to anyone seeking a PHP. Thank you Harmony! Keep doing what you’re doing. I’m still sober. 4 months and 2 weeks. But I was amazed how a therapist and case manager took us to get food for housing when needed. I worked in this business. That is not in their job description. Above and beyond.

Self Help totally changed My Life, I knew I was an alcoholic for years, But I could never figure out why I was & what triggered Me to continue to abuse alcohol. I was taught the clinical side of My disease, I drank on intrusive thoughts & emotional entanglements. Terrence My Counselor, & Nick My Co-counsel helped Me identify the problems within Me & that's How I was introduced to a brand new life that is absolutely priceless & God Given. Thank You Dennis U

I successfully completed my program last week. The 35 days I spent there have not only saved my life, I also now, for the first time in 43 years, LOVE myself. My counselor, Lisa, helped me put faith in myself, which I never experienced before. All the techs where awesome to me, I'd like to shout out Helen. Everyday she put a smile on and that smile is contagious, at the same time she genuinely cared everytime she asked myself, or anyone else how they where doing, that means a lot to so many of us, that were in those rooms. Pyramid saved my life and im forever grateful 🙏!! THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH!!! UPDATE: : June 2026, will be 3 years, I am Blessed, rank you!

I've been to better and been to worse. They provide a therapeutic environment that allows clients the opportunity to heal and grow. They feed you well, the coffee is real and usually strong (though limited to meal times,) the gym is better than most. There are ample smoke breaks and there are decent amenities. It's not the Ritz, but it's not supposed to be. They're definitely understaffed, but the team they currently have is full of dedicated and compassionate people which made all the difference in my stay and helped my find direction and hope. I'm very satisfied and grateful.🙏

433 days ago I walked into this treatment center scared nervous, but ultimately I had a goal. This place was welcoming. The staff was nice, respectful and intelligent, very compassionate, and patient also, The cooks the counselor’s The Doctors, the day-to-day staff even the janitors were all nice and helpful and respectful. Anyway, the place was always clean. I was always respected. I was able to get the help and treatment that I needed and after let’s say about 25 days day, I was discharged with a treatment plan also with numbers and addresses that I might need help with outside of the treatment center. My appointments was set for me before I left making it Easier for me when I got home I thank everyone there

Food was alright. Accommodated the fact I didn’t eat pork or seafood. Beds are very uncomfortable, but it’s rehab. Most staff were great! If severe get you to the hospital in a timely manner. Had vending machines for snacks and cigarettes.
