.The Doctors,Nurses and my Previous to my current Counselor whom is Courtney , which I had the pass few years are a blessing. My Experience has always been positive.I went to a Clinic in New Jersey in 2006 after I was discharged from the Army, And I had a addiction to my pain medicine from a combat injury. The New Jersey clinic was a terrible experience, Drug infested, they literally sold narcotics and the take home bottles in front of the door.Noone was clean including many staff members.Medmark is 5 star location for opioid treatment. It works if you work it.And the staff there want you to succeed. They are what makes it 5 stars, because they care.Thank you to the great staff ,I have my Life back for a decade after being lost for the prior 10 years.

This review may be a lil outta order cuz im not sure where to start lol…but i have been going to Medmark Treatment Center since 2019…and all I gotta say is that it’s definitely gotten better with time…are they perfect absolutely not but no one not even medical facilities are either…that being said if you’re thinking about giving Medmark a try go for it…everyone has their own opinions as well and I’m sure you’re gonna hear a lot of negative comments and reviews about them but don’t knock it till u truly try it!!! They have saved my life and they keep me going!!! They are my # 1 fans and would go to battle for me if they had to BUT YOU GOTTA DO THE WORK AS WELL!!! You can’t expect them to stay clean for you…lol…doesn’t work that way!!! So if you’re looking for a good place to try medicated treatment then Medmark should be where ya start!!! Nursing staff is awesome as well, April & Chelsea are fabulous and are there to help you with anything you need when it comes to how you’re feeling or how the medication is working/helping you…give it a shot YOUR LIFE MATTERS!!! By requesting sensitive information over vociemail, your mailbox recording violates the VA Privacy and Information Security Awareness and Rules of Behavior. I also don't appreciate having the option to stay on the line or leave a vociemail, hen have the phone answered and hung up multiple times. Forcing veterans to use the voicemal function by rejecting calls and requesting sensitive information via voicemal is poor practice, to say the least.

Horrible experience! My dad's surgery was supposed to be 6 hours which turned into 10! Always having to ask and getting an attitude when I ask for an update...sorry but my loved one is in a major surgery and I'm concerned! Please get another job so concerned family members dont have to deal with you. Then being told everything is fine. Why would you say 6 hours for a surgery that goes for 10 hours and everything is fine. Say longer because we're constanting thinking something is wrong!
There's no food....ANYWHERE after 3:00 so you're out of luck if you're hungry in this hospital after 3:00! Unreal!
Getting shuffled around like cattle from one lounge to another just to sit there for hours! Got here at 5:00 a.m. and still, as I type this so now going on 10:00 p.m. for a 6 hour surgery.
I will never recommend this hospital and if you have a doctor thay works out of here, do yourself a favor and get a new doctor!

I have used UPMC services for a couple of years and had really miserable experiences. While specific doctors/staff are sometimes nice/competent, I constantly found myself being insulted or treated disrespectfully whenever I asked administrative assistants or nurses questions/asked for medical documents/referrals, etc. There were multiple times that I was concerned about a health issue and assured that it was nothing. I was told that lumps on my leg were likely nothing and I was just informed they are cancerous when I visited an out-of-state doctor months later. In 2023, I was injured by staff during an exam at Magee-Women's Hospital and told that "discomfort is normal, some women get emotional about these exams." However, my biggest problem is the lack of communication between departments. I regularly would be told to talk to medical records, who were snippy with me and sent me to another department, who would then say I was in the wrong place and send me back, and records would send me to another center that would tell me my request wasn't their responsibility, and so on and so on. No one ever seemed to know their own department responsibilities and my doctor would often assure me a speedy appointment and then I would have to wait for 3-4 months to see someone for something very urgent.
I am thoroughly fed up with UPMC and really glad to be getting care elsewhere.

I have been clean for 16 years. Not 1 dirty urine screen. I had outpatient surgery and they gave me benzos and fentanyl for the surgery. Well the clinic said i had a benzo in my urine screen that was 2 months ago. The point im trying to make is why are thry taking all my privileges away for that. My record speaks for itself. And let me add that the physician assistant was very wrong for the way she treated me. I waited 4 hours for a paper to come through. I am going back to discovery. They treated me like a person.
I pray that i get them back. I often stay overnight with my grandchildren and some weekends i go away. A little mini vacation. Please let me have my take homes back.

I gave birth to my babygirl here in March of 2024. I was so nervous being that is my first childbirth experience. We toured the hospital before deciding to give birth here and the tour was so helpful and informative! Everyone was so kind. It definitely helped when it came time to come back and have my baby, we knew where to go and who to ask questions to. I was induced and when I was called to come in I was extremely nervous but all the nurses were beyond kind and very supportive. After getting in the room and getting comfy I was only 1 cm dilated so we waited a bit to see to see if any progress was made. We discussed having the foley balloon inserted and I agreed… the nurse that came to do that though was having a lot of trouble getting it into my cervix and I was having a lot of pressure and pain, I was trying to let her continue but I could tell she was just not getting it and I was very uncomfortable so she called I guess her colleague and she came and inserted it in one try, didn’t even feel it at all. So I was a little skeptical about that. I was fine after that baby was making her way. Then comes time for epidural… same situation with the balloon, nurse tries to insert the epidural and I’m FEELING it click into my spine bad I ask him to stop because he is telling me I shouldn’t feel it but I am. He tries AGAIN. I’m like came you get someone else because at this point my husband is holding me up and I am bawling my eyes out snot everywhere because I’m nervous about moving. Another nurse comes in and does it in ONE try. Proceeds to tell the nurse that was trying that he was 2cm off. I could have really been injured so I was very unsettled about that. Other than those issues my delivery was amazing, I did consent to having some students in the room because I would never deny a learning experience and they were great! I was super comfortable and all of the nurses in L&D were angels and helped me tremendously and took such great care of me and my baby. After that we got send up to PP. My day nurse was amazing she was so sweet and offered to take baby to nursery whenever I needed. My night nurse however was a little rude and was giving me a push back whenever I asked her to take my baby to the nursery so I could get some rest because I was in labor for an entire day and was exhausted, so I thought that was weird. The lactation consultants were very pushy, a little rude and condescending but I brushed them off. One of them was pregnant so I thought she would be a little nicer especially since I expressed this was my first child. Other than that food was great, my husband and family that came to visit had no issues exiting or entering the hospital. My visit was great overall and the L&D nurses really made it the best experience!

Don’t waste your time. I showed up for my assessment just for them to tell me that the person didn’t show up to do my assessment. That took weeks to get situated. Finally got a therapist and it was a male, when I requested a female. They finally fixed it, and I absolutely adored my therapist. She was a great help to me with my ocd and autism. Truly the best therapist I’ve ever had. She unexpectedly disappeared. I found out she was on medical leave. The date kept changing for her return which she was keeping me updated with. Totally nothing against her!! But after we lost contact, I contacted the office numerous times and left voicemails just to get no calls back. I don’t know if my therapist is never returning, if they have a different therapist that is suitable for me, or what to do. It’s been around three weeks of calling them. In April, I tried to schedule an appointment with my psychiatrist for sometime in May, and the soonest he could fit me in is in June. This place makes you feel uncared about and neglected. Sadly they don’t care about the mentally ill. I am unsure why people take these jobs in these types of fields when they do not care or have any respect.

The staff was amazing and helped me through early recovery and learning life skills I didn't know. I was so broken when I got to turning point but they uplifted me when I didn't want to continue. I'm still clean today and I have no doubt that turning point has a lot to do with that. I would recommend turning point to anyone

I attended the Woman with children program at turning point in 2015, I have since been able to stay clean coming up on 6 years and have since had my child full time. This place changed my life for the better. They slowly integrated me back into the community, teaching me life skills and how to be a woman! The rules may be a little strict, but if you truly want to better yourself, these rules are in place for that. Behavior modification, learning how to cook and clean, and counseling for my addiction. I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for this program.

The people here have saved my life. They actually care and want you to get better. I have to talk about Erin the nurse though. She has been such a great influence on my life. She has always been there to help and encourage me to succeed but never ever have I felt judged by her for my previous mistakes. I’ve seen some people get mad and say horrible things about her because they lost their privileges, only to later come and tell her thank you for holding them accountable and helping them to really get back on track. When you’re an addict you place blame on others so much because it’s the only way you can live with yourself, but then you come to realize that it’s us who did wrong, they realized Erin didn’t take their privileges they took them from themselves, and the same people have come around and told me she saved their lives as well. She is an incredible nurse. She cares so much and sets an excellent example. I hope that Foundations realize just how blessed they are to have someone like her. She’s a treasure and a beautiful soul. One reason I’ve been clean for so long is I couldn’t stand to let her down. When I say she’s saved my life I mean it. Cherish her. Always!

I cannot say enough good about foundations and their staff. The nurses Erin and Edie are God sends. These people have helped save my life and I have many years clean and sober because of their help. People have preconceived notions and judgments about medication assisted recovery but you don’t know how it really is. These people care. They don’t want you stuck there. They saved my life over and over and I will forever be grateful. I’m going on 19 years clean because of their help and services. If you or a loved one needs help, there’s no better help out there than foundations. ADDED…. I was reading the other reviews and I’d love to address the one who says the nurses are horrible human beings. ABSOLUTELY NOT. When you don’t follow the rules that are out there for your safety you lose privileges. The nurses are not being mean by having to tell you that you failed a drug test or you didn’t show up to group so you can’t have the same privileges as those who do what’s right.. YOU DID THAT TO YOURSELF. And then he stated someone should burn it down!? If anyone did something so heinous because they can’t comply.. you’d be totally destroying so many peoples future. Not only would you take innocent peoples jobs but you’d crush single moms in recovery and other people trying to make it! How incredibly horrible! If anyone out there wants to get their lives back these people will bend over backwards to help you. Please don’t be turned off by a rant from someone who destroyed his own experience by not doing what’s right. Part of recovery is taking responsibility for your mistakes. No one can ruin your recovery but you. Foundations is amazing and they care. Especially the AMAZING NURSES! I want to add about my counselor Sydney. I have never in my life felt more advocated for. She is absolutely amazing. The people here truly care and want to see people get better. The only people who have problems are the ones who are completely out of line and disrespectful. They’re mad because they don’t get privileges but they forget they are the ones who ruin it for themselves. The nurses didn’t make you give a positive urinalysis. You did that. I have maintained my privileges for over a decade by simply allowing myself to live a normal life. And I wouldn’t have this chance if it wasn’t for the help of these great people. Thank you foundation’s staff for helping to save my life. My son who I got clean for in the first place is now on his way to becoming a state trooper. If you listen to them and do what you’re supposed to do. You will have your life back!

I have made many attempts to apply for a couple of programs, such as first time home buyers as well as rental assistance with absolutely No assistance at all. I have No faith in this program, I've witnessed nothing but unprofessionalism & lack of respect for ones who are in need. Very disturbing that the Govt funds this type of thing. Pathetic to say the least! Fraud, completely! After more attempts Fraud, this program is simply nonexistance.
Update I was assisted and more than I even expected. Greatful and Thankful. The program helped so much.
