Being my first rehab I didn't know what to expect, but I couldn't have asked for a better place to start my recovery journey. Miss Wendy, and the rest of the medical staff were awesome, as well as all the techs and counselors. All of the staff truly do care and love you until you learn how to love yourself again. I had never heard of a place called the Bridge to Recovery until my therapist highly recommended it after one of her clients had a positive experience. I decided to take the courageous step of saying yes to leave my family, job and so much of the unknown even after talking and texting Tiffany hundreds of times! My life was in a state of an emotional and physical chaotic storm. The only thing I could think of when I walked through those unpredictable doors was that I did not deserve good and guilty for being there. When I walked in I was in crisis mode and felt completely broken but I learned within one of the toughest weeks of my life that I am not broken, I have many wounds that have not been healed. What has Bridge to Recovery taught me? I do know that the BTR did not save my life, I saved my life by surrendering and yes, I ‘m going to say those three famous words, Trust the Process was part of my letting go. The BTR is a unique model of group therapy which heals clients from trauma and trajic events that are rooted from family of origin. If you are looking for a healtheir way to live your life and find inner peace please call BTR today because you deserve to live a life of purpose and find your authentic self. One of the best lessons I learned is the gift of time, time to be still, to hear, feel your feelings and time to find your authentic self. I simply cannot thank all the therapists, staff, kitchen staff, Client Relations team, Mr. Anthony, Mr. Larry and the house managers for your kindness and expertise. BTR can not be the best kept secret in the world anymore! Thank you BTR from the bottom of my heart! #itsnotyourshame

I spent 4 weeks at the Bridge to Recovery and it has had a permanent impact on me and my family. My husband joined me for a Family Weekend at the conclusion of my stay there and agrees that the work and healing that we accomplished with the guidance of the Bridge staff, borders on the magical. It was worth every effort and expense to invest in our life together. I saw first hand the healing within my group of all ages and all varieties of emotional pain. I have invested years in various therapies, treatments and programs - nothing compares to the whole person healing to be found at the Bridge to Recovery.

I couldn’t be more grateful for the care they showed my son. We were at a loss and this was the only option left. Our only regret was that we didn’t seek care sooner. I have my child back. They equipped us and him with the tools to manage big emotions and really took care of everything between insurance and the school so the transition in and out were very easy for us. This clinic, like most VA clinics is status quo (because of overall VA policy) but there are some gems. Jason Herring is a great social worker going above and beyond for veterans. He gives great advice and practical tools for real life situations. Dr. Sprinkle is relatively new but is by far the best physician I’ve had at this clinic. She listens and gives usable advice. Her and her nurse Annie Hensley respond super fast most of the time. I feel like they care about their patients and do what they can within the restraints of the bureaucratic VA system.

I highly recommend Cumberland Mental Health as your health care provider for your mental health needs or whatever type of services you're seeking help with. I myself have been a patient of Cumberland Mental Health for quite some time.. years.. I started off going to the Hendersonville location yrs bk when I lived out that way,, which I also have nothing but great things to say about that location as well. I've also been to the Gallatin location. Their staff is amazing!! Always SO fiendly, informative, helpful, & there to greet you with a smile as you walk in... There's nothing worse then going into a Dr.s office (where post people would rather go/be anywhere else but the doctors.. lol) & not being greeted at all, or being given the stare down face that gives the look of the ole "Who are you? Why are you here? What do you want..?!" kinda face... lol!🙃 Ugh that's the worst! No worries for that when you walk into any of the Cumberland Mental Health offices! I can assure you of that!😉 Front desk staff are always so sweet, helpful, & get you checked in in a timely organized fashion.. No chaos, confusion , or waiting to be seen for hours past your appointment time.. I can say in all honesty I've never had to wait longer then 10 to 15mins at the most to be called back. That's a huge deal for us mommy's, working moms (& dads), or all humans in general.. We all have things to do, & places to be.. So sitting in a doctor's office waiting room is never ideal for anyone. At the same time, things do happen & I always understand when a Dr. or therapist is running behind one day or overflowed with patients/appts.. I get it. They're doing their jobs & they're doing it to the best of their ability to help all of us. So for me personally. So to wrap this up... I personally love Cumberland Mental Health & all their staff. Not just my provider... the secatorial ladies, the nurse, the therapist/case workers who never fail to always take a few minutes to tlk with me, ask me if I'm doing well, or if I need anything! Not only in the office, but they call periodically through the month to check up on me and that's so important and kind in my opinion!😉 They're a solid 5 star doctor's office in my book! 😉👍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My one-month stay at the Bridge to Recovery radically changed my life, giving me an opportunity to work through the roots of my past trauma and to heal within a supportive environment. My experience there gave me new tools to face obstacles in day to day life and to thrive in ways I did not think were possible. I will always view my experience at the Bridge with gratitude and awe. I am a much happier, healthier and empowered person today because of the time I spent at the Bridge. The staff -- everyone, from the counselors to the support staff to the administrators to the groundskeepers to the yoga teacher -- are extremely caring, talented competent and dedicated. I still think about the great food to this day (I am a chef) and wish I could hug the folks in the kitchen to thank them for the nourishment and comfort they provided to me during some of the hardest weeks of my life. Uprooting trauma, addiction and codependency is a profoundly uncomfortable, difficult experience. So it's a bit funny to think of rating that experience on a scale from 1-5. My experience at the Bridge was not easy or perfect. Do I wish a few things could be tweaked? Sure. The lodging could be a bit more plush -- but, hey, this ain't a spa. And as someone who is queer, Buddhist and used to living in a more progressive part of the country, there were some...moments of dissonance...for me. But even those moments provided me opportunities for growth and reflection. I would 100% attend the program again. I recommend it to any and all of my closest friends/loved ones who could stand to benefit from an intensive, trauma-focused residential program. Actually, I think everyone and anyone could benefit from the Bridge if they have the time, energy, finances and right outlook/ expectations! The Bridge to Recovery is truly a gem.

People arrive here on their own journeys. Seeking a truth that holds dear to them and them alone. In our chaotic world I presented to be close to my friends and the father every kid would want but what I really was shined closer to a man who could not have been more isolated, more alone, and sad to say in the midst of a substance abuse situation I wouldn't wish on anyone. I began that journey at a different recovery center and came straight to the bridge to handle where I was at inside. My story had been told over and over or so I thought. I truly said to myself walking in there that the people I was gonna be with for the next month must be crazy to be here. Lucky for me I knew I was OK I would just show them how sane I am and everyone will wonder why it is I am here. So that first night I told the other guys in the house my story. Except this time I added in the other 90% I would never dare tell people back home. This was a voluntary thing not something I was made to do I just felt really safe and it felt like everybody truly cared. When I finished and saw the look on the other 5 guys faces I knew this was way bigger than the time I was giving to it. It turned out there were roots to these issues that ran so deep I never could describe it to you without you going and seeing for yourself. This place and the staff that they employ are happiness in my dark days and they are love to me when I feel alone. I think about The Bridge almost daily and I still talk to just about everyone I was there with. The amazing part to me that I never saw coming was I learned more about myself watching the other people in my group grow through their issues and seeing how they changed over those 30 days just about then I did doing the work I did on myself. But no matter what I can tell you I am not the man today that walked in and checked in my first day there. It's like getting given a new set of eyes and seeing the world in a whole different light. And if you go give Shane a little hell for me. He will appreciate me saying that.

The healing place is a wonderful center for recovery serving men of every walk of life during and after recovery and / or displacement. They offer a myriad of program to assist those in need as well as access to many other program outside of their own that they are partnered with. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served daily, lunch being open to the public, while the others are for residential clientele. Nightly shelter available upon request, as well as long term residential services to those who qualify. The facility also offers a program for specifically for military veterans on the second floor that works in conjunction with the VA to help veterans in need gain access to the benefits they require. I personally appreciate the VA program at the healing place immensely, and have been fortunate enough to have received their assistance in the past. One day at a time…

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This facility has zero concern for the care and well-being of the children in it's care. The lack of communication is astounding, the building is in serious neglect, and the staff is inconsistent with policies and procedures. They've provided and allowed minors to watch rate R movies, my son didn't start receiving any treatment for a broken hand for over 3 weeks after it happened, and heaven forbid if you question the psychologist about the treatment because they become defensive and shut you out. This place needs to be shut down.
