I had the unfortunate pleasure and that's not against the establishment, but because of my unfortunate addiction. I had the pleasure. Let's say of being in the New England facility, and I have to tell you if for a small facility. It was pretty top-notch. I mean, the nursing staff there was awesome, especially the dude that comes in on Sunday with the doggy. The chef staff they were great. Their food was great. The counselors are awesome. The teachings are good. I want to say I got at least 75% knowledge. The other percentage was just me being stubborn. Now I try to listen but on that note.I am proud to say that because of new england I have been sober for 7 months
They really do care about your health.Don't let anybody tell you, otherwise, because a lot of people will talk and they don't agree with it.They're just there just to clean up sometimes.And to get to the next bender, you get out of it what you put into it, and even though I have been through rehab 3 times all with the haveha2 in New Jersey and one in New England.
I finally was able to overcome my addiction.So, yes, I do recommend if you're having issues and need somewhere to go go to the haven.It's like the hilton of rehabs

The Haven took me under their wing from the moment I called in for help. The staff there were absolutely amazing—especially Laura, Helson, Joe and Nick! They were accommodating and you could tell how much they wanted to help each and every one of us! Kim, my case manager, went above and beyond from day one to make sure I could facetime my toddler every day which pushed me to keep on going! Mike in case management was also incredible in helping me out on days where my case manager was off. The programming at the Haven truly helped me rediscover myself and have never felt more like myself! Melissa and Treasure in aftercare were also great in helping me to facilitate aftercare and were so helpful whenever needed! Alison from the alumni team has been checking up on me constantly, as well as my family, and I can definitely tell that I will receive extended support from them! I had some of the best care from the nurses—especially Debbie, Kim, Michelle, Robert and Brigette! The Haven gave me my life back and I will forever be grateful for the incredible team there!

I just have to say this last year has been a struggle with my sobriety. But since I have completed their detox and rehab I have not had to go through another detox again. I then went through there IOP program which I highly recommend! When I graduated from that, I opted to do two of their 1 hour early recovery groups every week. I also meet with my clinician every 3 weeks. These services have made a huge difference in my recovery! I came into this program as an older woman, scared and unsure of what to expect. This was my very first time in treatment, and after coming from an inpatient program where I honestly felt like I was treated more like an animal than a person, I didn’t know what I was walking into. From the first day, the staff and clients made me feel welcome and safe. I wasn’t seen as just a diagnosis here, I was seen as a human being. That meant everything to me. The groups were supportive, the staff truly cared, and I felt like my voice mattered. This program gave me hope and reminded me that healing is possible at any age. I’m grateful I came here and would recommend it to anyone who feels nervous about starting treatment.

I attended this IOP for dual diagnosis, and I can’t say enough good things. All the staff were incredible, from the director to the techs. The groups and therapists were supportive and truly helpful. I was there during a time when they were short-staffed, and they never missed a beat always making sure clients’ needs were met. Huge shoutout to Nick and Jodi, who really hold the place together and make it feel safe and welcoming. I’d recommend BHR to any family or friends struggling, this program truly makes a difference

I've been at Merrick Street for nearly a year, and my experince has been truly amazing. Spectrum staff members are caring, well-educated and passionate about helping each client on an individual basis. The level of care far exceeds that of other programs. I started my 'journey' at Sisters of Providence in Holyoke, and (apart from my clinician -- who was amazing!), it felt like conveyor-belt-style care. Now, that was a 2-hour round-trip commute every morning, but Information about Spectrum (20 minutes away) was hidden from me (despite my inquiries) for months because it was a separate organization and they likely didn't want to lose me as a paycheck -- I mean patient.
Spectrum is the total opposite. It has changed my life. I wasted years fearing a program, and the stigma attached. But I realized-- since I was already dealing with the stigma of having fibromyalgia and chronic pain, it made no difference, and I needed to try -- for me. Since entering, I have met so many incredible people, shared and heard many incredible stories, and in a way, I am proud to be part of something so positive.

Channing House, which is a Halfway House now operated by Advocates, is probably the most successful men's substance abuse house in Worcester County and probably one of the 5 best or most successful programs in Massachusetts. It is a fully accredited 6 month substance abuse residential program. However, they let me stay for 8 1/2 months because the staff agreed with me that I wasn't ready yet. I've been to well over 25 halfway houses and at least 15 different sober houses...and Channing House is by far the best and most successful program in Worcester County.

Since I started going here about 4 years ago I got a great therapist named Justin Mertz. We hit it off on day one and had a great professional relationship up to his untimely death. I was assigned a new therapist named Lindsay Fox. Her and I hit it off great. Lindsay and I are working hard on my care just like I had with Justin. We do a 50/50 conversation. Hands down this program saved my child's life...... I could go on and on about all of the staff and how amazing they are very caring and professional ! I am an overbearing mom who needs to have the answers, I call.
10 times a day to check on my child.And never once did I ever feel like I was being pushed to the side because I can get annoying.... Which Is the best feeling ever because i'm trusting the care of my precious child To a bunch of strangers. Some of the reviews on here could be pretty scary for a parent trying to find their child some help.But I'm telling you from one parent to another.If it wasn't for this program I don't know where my daughter would be or us as a family.Thank you so much MYR For everything you've done for us and saving my child's life! *Update: It's now 2025 and there's has been a lot of changes at Worcester Arbour. New Director. My psychiatrist got an assistant, Nicole and she is amazing. Anytime I need anything she is on top of it. I'm with the same therapist and our relationship is getting more and more trusting. I encourage people to try this place out. Their partial hospitalization program is great for adults and adolescents. They are separate.
Update, it's now 2023 and theres a new director for a couple of years now.I have to be honest and say this place has gone downhill. They barely offer groups and most of them are on Zoom which in my opinion is so impersonal. I switched my pharmacy for the first time in over 10 years and they haven't updated my chart so my psychiatrist sent my meds to the wrong pharmacy. This might not sound like a big deal but I use medminder a mailing service and all my meds come prepackaged by dose so having to pick up certain meds in a bottle and put them in each little container for a month or two defeats the purpose of having them prepackaged for me. If you're just looking for a therapist and not groups or a psychiatrist then you will probably be okay here but it you're like me and need more help than that you will be at a loss. My therapist is great so I won't leave but I thought they have declined enough update my review.

I'm not sure people understand the difficulties with making a program like this work. You have lots of mentally disabled people giving one star because they can't color the picture they want or couldn't speak with their med doc right this very second. Considering the constraints and low pay the clinicians go through to just try to help people, the added digital slaps aren't really necessary. I've had no issues and have had no complaints in dealing with Dan or the staff here.

Addiction treatment at it's best! Really great people, super helpful; love the IOP groups and the individual counseling - the counselors are all really great! They also offer Early Recovery support groups, days and evenings, and that is really helpful, to have that available around my work schedule! Overall, and excellent experience!

I had a quality experience in the ER dealing with a heart issue, that was also possibly neurological given my history. This was from Sat to Sunday, so weekend hours. StV couldn't get me a regular room so kept me in the ER. They ran a variety of tests and I consulted with 2 cardiologists, 1 neurologist and 2 general MDs. The nurses were caring and dedicated. The medications administered were appropriate too.
