FIRST LET ME SAY I LOVE THE STAFF AND EVERYONE THERE💜💙💚🧡!!!! I'm just very upset right now, and want to see if anyone else has been in the position iam in right now. I have been on Suboxone for about 2 and a half years. HAVE NEVER GAVE A DIRTY PISS TEST!!!! I go once a month. Well in the past year or so, I have to have surgery on my wrist had to get a metal plate put in it. They put me on Subutex for 2 weeks or so, took the pain meds like I should, went back on Suboxone no problem. NO DIRTY PISS TESTS. About 6 months later I had to have surgery on my finger. Once again put me on Subutex afterwards for a couple weeks or so. NO DIRTY PISS TESTS AGAIN. Went back on the Suboxone no problems. I NEVER TOOK MORE OF THE PAIN MEDS THAN I WAS SUBSCRIBED!!!! I have been having trouble with my legs for awhile giving out on me and I would fall. So recently I was having lots of problems with my left knee. They had to do a partial knee replacement. Got it done yesterday. THEY GAVE ME TYLENOL 500MGS 2 EVERY 6 HOURS, AND GAVE ME 8MG OF BABY ASPRININ I TAKE 2 ADAY OF THOSE. THEN GAVE ME 3 8MG OF SUBOXONE STRIPS TO TAKE ADAY. SO 3 SUBOXONE WITH THE OTHER PAIN MEDS. I was told they don't give Subutex no more, not even pregnant woman. Iam confused I AWAYS THOUGHT SUBOXONE IS A PAIN BLOCKER. NOW AFTER ALLLLLL THESE YEAR'S OF PEOPLE BEING ON THEM. THEY ARE NOT REALLY A BLOCKER.???? NEEDLESS TO SAY IAM IN THE WORST PAIN EVER😭😭😭😭!!!! TRUST ME IF I HAD KNOWN WHAT I WAS GOING TO GO THROUGH WITH THIS PAIN I WOULDN'T OF DONE IT!!!! I couldn't even do therapy today at ALL when they came today to start the therapy!!!! Just wondering anybody else go through this to after a major surgery like this???? So beware Suboxone isn't a complete BLOCKER they are saying all of a sudden 🤔. Like I said this place HAS HELPED ME OUT ALOT!!!! MY BEEF IS REALLY WITH THE SUBOXONE MAKERS I GUESS. ITS JUST AWFUL THE PAIN IAM IN. Like I said I have no desire at all to go back on the pain pills again I almost died!!!! I take care of my Dad he has Cancer and Dementia and is on ALOT OF PAIN MEDS, SO IF I WANTED TO DO PAIN MEDICINE I WOULD ALREADY HAVE DONE IT!!!! My daughter and grandkids live here too and I would never never do anything to hurt them. Anyway SORRY for my venting, just upset . I hope someone understands what iam going through. PLEASE PRAY THAT THIS PAIN EASIOUS UP 🙏🙏🙏🙏

The system is overwhelmed and underfunded when it comes to mental health but Northwestern has been a life saver, quite literally, for my child. Her caseworker Annie is absolutely amazing and supportive and her psychiatrist is compassionate and extremely helpful. We were truly lost before we found this support system. The staff is organized and efficient. Registration was easy and visits are always a pleasant experience. We rarely wait and my child’s safety is a priority. I truly can not complain at all. We have been using this service for nearly a year and the positive changes are impossible to express with words. Thank you so much, Northwestern.

I recently visited Spero and it was a great overall experience. The employees were all very detailed and helpful with the answering of my many questions. The most important to me was the level of kindness they all showed. It is not an easy thing for me to actually seek help with my addiction issues, but they made it comfortable. They send reminder texts about upcoming appointments and are available if I need to communicate with them.

Wow where do i start !!! Hopes were a horrible place to come for help at the time I stayed there.this was a makeshift Subpar "detox" spot,,, that's right a spot not a facility by any stretch of the imagination. No doctor or nurse on board to dispense meds ,to get our meds we actually had to group walk to a CVS like place.there were absolutely no food provided at this spot you literally had to bring your own food or starve and you'll have pray no one steals your food like it happened to me, thank god Randy the house guy scavenge through a pantry and found an old donated can of red beans for me to eat which had me farting for three days straight.ok our sleeping quarters was a little house somewhere near Kane Street in Dundalk.where drug dealers would meet some of our residents at the back door to make the transactions.we would be wakened like the Crack of dawn to all board a creepy 15 seat passenger van to head to our daycare somewhere across town where we would stay until evening every day guys. imagine being sick as a dog and having to sit up all day in chairs (no beds)from dawn to near dusk pretty torturous, mind you with no food drink unless you brought it there with you..once we are driven back to the sleeping spot in the evenings then we had to group walk to the NA meeting on Youngstown Ave (church) off Dundalk ave-yes walk I said lol.you would think this kind of shoe string services would be cheap right. I had private insurance ( Pfizer ) which were being paid through my benefits package from my employer. I was floored when they showed me what they paid Hope's Horizon. If Pfizer only paid a small fraction of that bill it still would've been too much!!! for what I received. Randy the house guy was cool he did give away a lot of his cigarettes all day for free :)

I can't express in words, how much of a great and compassionate person the owner Pete is. He's a very stand up guy, when I had a problem that conflicted with my hours of school (I'm doing remote from 9:30am-4:30pm). Pete went out of his way to make sure, I could still attend my groups virtually from their IOP residential home during the evenings. When the house manager said I couldn't do this, Pete went and made some calls to accommodate me, so I could get the help I needed while also being able to pursue my dreams in getting a job in IT support. Thanks Pete 😊 🫂 🙏. If you're in need of assistance they are very welcoming at the office aswell. The front desk assistant Hunter was very supportive and understanding of my situation any questions I had she answered promptly and kindly. They offered drinks and food to us while we did our intake an everything. I truly appreciate 🙏 and recommend them to anyone in need of stability while trying to get clean or stay sober. They will provide transportation also to and from there office. Hope's Horizon and their sister company Atom is one of the best rehabilitation centers out there 💯👍. Fairfax, Virginia | The Inova Kellar Center (IKC) on Waples Mill Road in Fairfax, Virginia, is a satellite campus of the nonprofit Inova healthcare company. At the Fairfax IKC, they provide specialized behavioral health and therapy services for children and adolescents. Their services cover problems with alcohol or drug use and a wide array of other possible behaviora | Treatments Programs Payment Options | *Disclaimer:*
This is a review for Kellar’s psychiatric medication management services only, as my child has not attended PHP here and is not involved in any of their other therapy programs either. I have also been told that the Kellar School is not technically connected to this location despite sharing a name and resources, so if you see any reviews here for that, just disregard them.
*And now for the actual review:*
My 13-year-old has a lot of developmental and intellectual deficits that has made finding a psychiatrist who can treat her extremely difficult, as most do not have the necessary expertise to communicate with her in a way that doesn’t send her into a behavioral crisis and unfortunately more than a few psychiatrists are unwilling break from their usual playbook when planning her care because they just don’t work with this population enough or they don’t have adequate time in their schedules to allow for a truly individualized approach for care.
Basically, working with Autistic/intellectually disabled children is an art form, and only a few providers can wield that brush effectively. Dr. Shruti Tewari is this provider. The way she is able to talk to my child at her level of understanding without coming off as condescending is incredible, and actually allows my child the dignity and ability to be an active participant in her care, which is a right but absolutely not a guarantee for the neurodivergent patient.
Just to give a little taste of what previous psychiatry practices find acceptable, up until now appointments have involved my child staring off into space while the clinicians completely ignore her the whole appointment, opting instead to just have us, the parents, answer questions about what we think her issues are, which puts me in the difficult position of having to talk about her like she isn’t even in the room when she’s actually able to understand just enough of what is going on to know we are talking about her like she is just a problem to solve, which I’m sure you can imagine is not great for a growing child’s self-esteem.
Anyway, to wrap up a review that somehow now also doubles as a rant about how absolutely dismal the current state of American mental healthcare is, Kellar’s reception staff is kind, professional, and they actually answer the phone (no dealing with call centers 5 states away or playing the endlessly frustrating game of email tag! Woo!). Yes, there can be a fairly long waitlist for this practice, but trust me, put your kid on it anyway, because by the time your child’s number comes up you’ll more than likely be joyously ready to switch from whatever psychiatrist you did end up finding for them. And If the other psychiatrists at this practice are even half as competent as Dr. Tewari, you are already in better hands than you would be with 99.9% of other providers, and I’m sure you want what’s best for your kid, otherwise you wouldn’t be here, would you?
Good luck with everything, having a child who needs psychiatric help can really drain your spirit no matter how much you want to be better than that, hopefully this review can help make your family’s journey just a little bit easier and a lot more humane. Peace & love.

After applying to this clinic for my daughter, I reviewed online reviews and didn't respond to the email I received for a consultation. Then I decided to try it. I figured if I didn't like it, I wouldn't continue. Coming here was the best decision of my life. Dr. Kalaskar and therapist Pritchard are the perfect people I've met. I had contacted the outpatient program for assistance for my teen in medication management for depression and anxiety to the beginning of May. After several weeks of paperwork exchange, we finally got an appointment several weeks later in mid July. The head of the PCP program is manipulative. My daughter was part of the Partial Hospitalization program. She had been experiencing depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation. The wait list was months to get in, so by the time there was an opening, she was already underway to healing, but her time in the PHP set her back. All day she had to talk about her depression and listen to others talk about theirs. She was at a point that she was ready to move on past the depression, but they wouldn't let her. When she finally said that their program was the only depressing thing in her life and attending it was the only thing that made her feel suicidal they tried to have her sent to a residential facility in the mid-west. They threatened to try to sue for custody of my child if we wouldn't agree to send her. It was a thinly veiled threat of, "we wouldn't want to have to have your child taken away, but we've done it before - and we know what's best". The doctors were very manipulative. They sent me out of the room and then told my daughter they were sending my daughter to live in a hospital halfway across the country which doens't allow family visits. How is it okay to manipulate and threaten someone with mental health issues? My daughter was very cooperative with everything but they didn't like that she said their program was making her worse. The literally called me in and had me come straight over saying that she should be sent away. It is horrible to threaten a family with something like that. My husband is a lawyer so he knew that legally they have no grounds, but it would be terrifying and for them to try that on parents who arent' aware what their rights are. The doctors there didn't want to hear that their one-size-fits-all doesn't work for everyone. and seemed to then take it out on the patient. IThey also completed discounted anything my daughter said about what is making her depressed and completely dismissed the patient and the parent's ideas about what they feel would be beneficial. It's been a few years now and my child has been doing so much better after leaving their program.

I have been seeing practitioners here for about 8 years. In the last few years all of the doctors I have worked with have been unresponsive, dismissive, inconsiderate, and impossible to schedule appointments with. It should not take 6 months to get an appointment with your doctor. Reception is hit or miss, some of the ladies there are wonderful, others are rude. I do not plan on returning to this practice anytime soon.

I are been with GBMC Hunt Manor for more than 15 years. I always was able to either speak with my Doctor if not immediately, at least by the end of the day. I understand the demands of Physicians, but in the least a Receptionist would readily answer the phone to assist with a particular question, or refill a simple prescription.
Well this has drastically changed since COVID, which I can even understand that calls increased, and video conferencing that took a hold of most Medical Practices. A sad fact, but more on that later.
The main reason I am posting is that NO ONE answers the phone to even begin a process of getting a message to my Doctor.
This is UNCONSCIONABLE! I have literally sat on the phone, listening to the same horrible music for minimally an hour, and many times much more than that! When you finally do reach a person, they usually “mistakenly” disconnect or worse act like they are doing you a huge favor. Sometimes, when you do get them for more than a minute, the message to the Doctor is expressed incorrectly, and the whole nightmare starts over again.
All I ever need is a prescription refill that must be written by my Doctor each month.. It has gotten so bad, that my latest option is to drive 16 miles, and speak to someone at the desk. Even that doesn’t seem to work, since last time my interaction with people at front desk was humiliating, insensitive, and extremely unprofessional.
My only choice is to leave this Office, and do the research to find a practice that at least answers the phone. I really don’t ask for much, but to know you can get through to your Physician if a true emergency occurs, at least not having to sit on hold for hours on end only to find no one gives a darn.
