This subject can be one that either rips loved ones apart or brings them closer together. As I hope for everyone and anyone that people open there minds and hearts up to those who ask for help. We are not bad people just as cancer is a disease so is addiction! I was never warned by my doctor that the medication he was given me would turn my life upside down and when it did my doctor cut me loose. Coming from a family with addiction problems I then knew I had to get help. This treatment center is great compared to others! They help you with EVERYTHING from your addiction to your transportation needs. Be prepared for friends and family to turn their back on you because it will happen. Narrow minded people think this isn’t getting help it’s replacing on addiction with another. If that’s the case then almost everyone in the world are addicts. If you get the flu and take medication for it same thing, you get poison ivy you get medicine for it same thing. Yes I know it’s not 100% exact but hopefully some of you get my point here! Please stop knocking us down when we are doing everything we can to fix the problem. I promise you if you take treatment seriously and friends and family support you and even get involved in your treatment you will find yourself again. You will be a better, stronger and caring person!!!!

I just want to say how great this center is!!! I came from PA to train for my current job and attended this clinic during that time. This clinic has their duck's in a row and some of the friendliest and most helpful ppl I've ever met in my lifetime. Please let the staff know how much they are valued and that they truly make a difference everyday! I wish everyone the best of luck, especially Jacob he is one of a kind 😊. Again thank you all for this great experience! (PS- The whole staff deserves a raise or at least a recognition party of some type! 😎😁🤗💯)

Liberty Point was a fantastic facility for our son. They showed him love and compassion and gave him the time he needed to open up to them. Once he felt comfortable enough to allow for help, he made great progress. Ms G was absolutely amazing and advocated for our son when others wanted to give up. I owe so much to this facility, and especially to Ms. G. Thank you!!!

Day 280 the excellent home geriatric doctor is awesome. The benefits are excellent. We’ve adapted and so appreciate the VA! Day 2 and not as impressed but they did fix a wrong scan order so we didn’t have to pack up and leave. Was told meds ready and not there yet. A very long day running around getting nothing done. Day 1 was very impressed with the care my 93 yr old vet fatherin-law received today. He couldn’t have asked for more. All difficulties were addressed, the nearby UVA pharmacy was super speedy and convenient. A different specialty drug through the VA pharm was free and can now be taken.. They have MDs that can come to your house. We got appts lined up a week after we called. Everyone was super awesome. The RN couldn’t been nicer. MD super thorough. A wonderful asset for veterans! We waded through another VA out of state and it was hell getting things set up and no thoroughness medically but also provided great services. We’re happy to find this easier. Thank u!

I have been both in group and private therapy here at August's Health Behavioral Health. They are warm, kind, understanding, and help you to solve problems that are getting in the way of you living a healthy and happy life. They were polite when I was there the first time but they gave me medicine that had terrible side effects. I asked for my regular medicine they wouldn't give it to me. They said I had to keep on taking Latuda that was giving me jerking motions and bad side effects. When I called to make an appointment during covid I was unable to fill out the paper she asked because the link she sent was dead and then they told me I could never come back again. I have taken several program participants to various medical and mental health appointments over the years both in Virginia and in Maryland and was hands down super impressed with the staff at the CSB juvenile, adult, and emergency services. There was quite a wait for emergency services but each department communicated with each other and was so polite. Brian Stewart is one of the few names that we caught but he was phenomenal. The staff checked on us, fed us, and gave us blankets. We saw them touching base with some individuals who were clearly in crisis and they were just so patient and caring. Dr. Smith was our emergency services doc and I wish he could see people regularly because he was funny and he made my program participant feel heard. I have been with an individual to the primary care as well and enjoyed the collaboration with DO Pristell.

Yesterday on May 29th, I returned from a wonderful vacay with my daughter in Madrid and Marbella Spain. Unfortunately on her first day back to work, my daughter was diagnosed with Covid and sent home to isolate with prescribed meds. She immediately advised me of her status and I jumped on Medstar’s Utgent Care Clinic in Alexandria, VA. Both the website and Call Center are extremely helpful and user friendly. Upon registering and reserving an appointment in person online, I was soon opening the door of Urgent Care and warmly greeted by the receptionist who further instructed me and then led me to the triage nurse who took all my vitals, and administered the Covid test. I was comfortably placed in an examination room to await my test results and exam by the NP, Ericka. Although I tested positive for Covid, Ericka thoroughly questioned me re symptoms, health concerns, dates and my whereabouts with regard to the onset of Covid. Ericka has the best “bedside manners” along with her outstanding medical knowledge and pure common sense. In sum, Medstar’s Urgent Care is highly recommended and will never disappoint!

Arrived a few minutes before 11am; only one other person in waiting room. I had preregistered and was seen by nurse in less than 5 minutes. Waited about 20 minutes or so for nurse practitioner, but I’ve had much longer waits at other Urgent Care facilities. The NP was friendly, thorough, and diagnosed my issue quickly. Was very pleased with my experience.
