Today was my first visit and it was a pleasant one. Autumn and Christine were very polite and helpful. I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee while filling out my paperwork. Then talked with Autumn and Christine so they could give me a urine screen and then check my vitals before visiting with the computer screen for a few minutes waiting for Dr. Sheri to get to me. The computer freezing up while talking with the doctor was the only thing that didn't run smoothly as far as I could tell. That in itself is pretty amazing considering they were not using their normal offices and reception area due to busted pipes in the rooms above them. I really appreciate that they remained patient, polite and funny while obviously working in a busy stressful situation. Thanks again Autumn, Christine and Dr. Sheri.

This subject can be one that either rips loved ones apart or brings them closer together. As I hope for everyone and anyone that people open there minds and hearts up to those who ask for help. We are not bad people just as cancer is a disease so is addiction! I was never warned by my doctor that the medication he was given me would turn my life upside down and when it did my doctor cut me loose. Coming from a family with addiction problems I then knew I had to get help. This treatment center is great compared to others! They help you with EVERYTHING from your addiction to your transportation needs. Be prepared for friends and family to turn their back on you because it will happen. Narrow minded people think this isn’t getting help it’s replacing on addiction with another. If that’s the case then almost everyone in the world are addicts. If you get the flu and take medication for it same thing, you get poison ivy you get medicine for it same thing. Yes I know it’s not 100% exact but hopefully some of you get my point here! Please stop knocking us down when we are doing everything we can to fix the problem. I promise you if you take treatment seriously and friends and family support you and even get involved in your treatment you will find yourself again. You will be a better, stronger and caring person!!!!

I just want to say how great this center is!!! I came from PA to train for my current job and attended this clinic during that time. This clinic has their duck's in a row and some of the friendliest and most helpful ppl I've ever met in my lifetime. Please let the staff know how much they are valued and that they truly make a difference everyday! I wish everyone the best of luck, especially Jacob he is one of a kind 😊. If your willing to get clean and put in the work than this is the place for you. I absolutely love my counselor Emily she is the best. Amy is a great nurse and so is mellissa. They do Change help alot but nobody wants to work this day in time. This place saved my life and I am forever grateful!

Today, Region Ten Crisis Unit was the only one to help me. They picked me up and brought me in to see a nurse and doctor. Then, set me up for more help next week! Really a wonderful experience during a crisis for me. It s hard to be positive when abuse is happening, but today Region Ten spent hours deescalating and managing my crisis issues well. It s hard to say: I was raped and in the UVA care unit, I was assaulted by 3 long relationship partners and needed shelter for emergency and care for the physical abuse. Now, my mental health is in crisis after a 7-month roommate situation turned violent. All this past trauma builds up and comes up when new abuse. I was able to get out all the bad, plan for counseling for future mental and physical care. Thank you! Your team even stayed late, and it s nice to know others in crisis can come to you.

Amazing service and kind understanding therapists. I've been using horizon for close to 2 years now and have received tremendous care. Scott Bradley, whom I see, never pushes me to follow by the book therapy and allows me to choose my own path. A fantastic listener and patient therapist, he has seen me at my worst and best. I ALWAYS feel encouraged, safe, and cared for when I'm there. I have come a long way thanks to him. Dr Gilmore is amazing. So helpful, understanding, and compassionate. Also very thorough. Can't say as much for everyone else. Some people are just RUDE and you can definitely tell they DO NOT enjoy working there. But as far as counselors, doctor's, and nurses, they are all amazing.

I had some work done on my knee and I was really pleased with every step of the way. The front desk was always sweet and helpful. I got a second opinion from another surgeon at the hospital, which was very helpful and reassuring for me. The surgery day couldn't have gone better. I was irrationally worked up about a lot of things and each nurse / staff was able to provide comfort and reassurance. I wanted to thank everyone and I want to include Charlotte and the anaesthesiologist (i'm sorry i forget his name) for their exceptional support.

The Doctors and nurses don’t communicate with each other. Which leads to staff giving false information. The female director is also extremely rude. The night shift is way better managed than the day staff I will say, I went at 3am and had a very good experience and they were super friendly. The day shift not so much, they are extremely rude, don’t listen fully to your complaints, argue with patients, I don’t usually care about eating but the fact if I’m trying to explain my problems to you and your smacking gum or chewing food actively in my face makes me feel like you don’t care. I’d recommend going at night if you could.

It’s not the nurses or doctors fault but it seems that have no plan when it comes to the ER 4+ hour wait for very simple stuff neither doctors or nurses are good at communicating all that they tell you is that their busy and they’ll get to you when they can. I have been to other hospitals where they get you registered and in a room immediately all without attitude

I moved into the Avalon house about 8 months ago. It has really become a home to me. There is a lot of women in one home but we all manage to get along rather well. The Avalon house has been a safe , supportive, clean environment. We operate similar to the Oxford model in that we hold one another accountable. Anastasia is a hands on housing manager but she gives you the room you need to be an adult and make the decisions for your recovery that you feel are right. If you follow the rules, and prove to her that you’re trustworthy then she affords you that trust and she is understanding. I truly believe that Avalon is one of the main reasons that I’ve been successful in my recovery thus far.

My stay in Parham Hospital was enjoyable .
I had an LTHR surgery, so one wouldn’t describe being in the hospital as enjoyable, but everyone treated me wonderful. My nurses Tiffany, Justin and Whitney were attentive to me and they took the best care of me. They made my stay pleasant.

Bottom line I've been clean 6 years now I wanted for myself it was hard and I fought every day at first but it was time to leave the party and I did it I couldn't have done it without FCCR God bless you all ...... The dosing nurses especially Ms Pam are exceptional women! They not only give you your meds but they will talk to you if you need to vent etc....they get to know you so well they know when you're not yourself. Dr. Toombs and all the staff at the Midlothian Brightview location are very welcoming, professional, and helpful. Even though there is a location 3 miles from my home in Prince George, I continue to travel the 30 minute ride to the Midlothian location. I am sure they are just as good, but I have to go where I feel most welcomed, helped, and comfortable.
