It's an okay place though my mom had a bad experience (she requested a female therapist and was given a male one; overall didn't have a good experience and switched her place). I've had an okay one though. the waitlist is HELL though. took a year for autism and ADHD testing and the Dr didn't even do ADHD testing. and I need more testing but insurance + waitlist isn't great right now.
But my therapist is nice though, so no complaints there

I highly do not recommend this program. I do not agree with giving addicts a drug that is addictive to get them off of another drug. I also believe that they are not invested in family recovery support. I tried to call multiple times while my son was in the program to set up visitation with him due to the fact that I am an amputee in a whole other state from him. I never received a phone call back Or any communication to assist in my support of my child. I am currently enrolled in college. My degree is a BS in business with a minor in psychology. My ultimate goal is to become a recovery specialist. And I promised myself in every addict that I am involved in that I will do much better than this program has ever done. My son has been an Addict for a while now and it is because of programs like this that he has failed multiple times. I myself am also a recovering addict. I have been sober for nine years and eight months. The things my son told me that was going on in that program that was not being addressed Or corrected is shameful to the recovery Programs. And that includes behaviors from the patients and staff that are in higher positions that should be holding the most respect. He is involved in another program in Roanoke, Virginia, and I will give them the utmost respect. Their staff communicates with me and involves me in every aspect of my son’s recover. If you are looking for a variant involved program, please contact the mission in Roanoke, Virginia. I give them all my praise And hope that when I graduate college I can find a program in my area that cares as much as their staff Does about their participants.

Amazing service and kind understanding therapists. I've been using horizon for close to 2 years now and have received tremendous care. Scott Bradley, whom I see, never pushes me to follow by the book therapy and allows me to choose my own path. A fantastic listener and patient therapist, he has seen me at my worst and best. We are not bad people just as cancer is a disease so is addiction! I was never warned by my doctor that the medication he was given me would turn my life upside down and when it did my doctor cut me loose. Coming from a family with addiction problems I then knew I had to get help. This treatment center is great compared to others! They help you with EVERYTHING from your addiction to your transportation needs. Be prepared for friends and family to turn their back on you because it will happen. Narrow minded people think this isn’t getting help it’s replacing on addiction with another. If that’s the case then almost everyone in the world are addicts. If you get the flu and take medication for it same thing, you get poison ivy you get medicine for it same thing. Yes I know it’s not 100% exact but hopefully some of you get my point here! Please stop knocking us down when we are doing everything we can to fix the problem. I promise you if you take treatment seriously and friends and family support you and even get involved in your treatment you will find yourself again. Dr. Toombs and all the staff at the Midlothian Brightview location are very welcoming, professional, and helpful. Even though there is a location 3 miles from my home in Prince George, I continue to travel the 30 minute ride to the Midlothian location. I am sure they are just as good, but I have to go where I feel most welcomed, helped, and comfortable.

If your willing to get clean and put in the work than this is the place for you. I absolutely love my counselor Emily she is the best. Amy is a great nurse and so is mellissa. They do Change help alot but nobody wants to work this day in time. This place saved my life and I am forever grateful!

True Recovery changed my life entirely. I could never repay them for lending me the strength and guidance I couldnt find in myself at the time. In just a few short months it was like I transformed into someone I was proud to be. I had more than sobriety, I had recovery. Internaĺly I was as rich as I could be, all while holding a job and paying my own bills for the first time too. I was able to do things for/with my daughter that I'd never done. It was an amazing experience and I recommend True Recovery to anyone. I am living proof that it works.

I’ve been going here for 6 now. When BHG took over the old clinic, River City, there were growing pains as any company has going through a takeover. Then the pandemic happens during the takeover. Staff was leaving left & right because patients blamed them for literally EVERTHING. The patients refused to see the bigger picture and wanted to blame staff for following the pandemic rules. BHG was the only clinic in RVA excepting new patients during the pandemic because they genuinely want to SAVE LIVES! Somehow so many patients complained about so many new patients holding up lines. Anyway, with all of that being said, I’ve seen staff come & go BUT THE STAFF THEY HAVE NOW IS SO CARING & want nothing but THE best for us!!! Dr. Swainey is so down to earth once you see how much he relates to us, you’ll have so much respect for his compassion to help us that are stuck in this awful cycle. I could write a book on how much I’ve grown to adore the staff & they ALL deserve the absolute best in life. Every single one of them have played a part in my new outlook of life and I owe that to them. <3
