Best of the best…the facilities and staff are top notch, the food and all the different dietary accommodations are excellent, they provide almost daily opportunities for outings including, but not limited to, trips to the local YMCA, equine therapy, outdoor excursions, plus a myriad of day trips like the museum and cinema. This place really helped me & I would recommend it to anyone who is struggling.

The facility is amazing with well educated doctors with well calibrated insights. There great and courageous with veterans health that may mislead to misunderstandings of those without the appropriate understanding and knowledge but thats OK, they will help you understand clearly. There human like everybody else well maintained ethical and passionate through all that they do. The VA is strick on rules and policies for the ethical relationships they delicately preserve with there patients. Somebody like me has endured a tramatic brain injury can put the peices of the puzzle together congruntly. I now realize the integrity of the messaging and how comments aren't for attention seeking congratulations. You have my soldiers honor dignity and respect. Service With pride, Always Farward whoa!!!!!! God bless the VA.
Lewis Gale MC was the best place for me during a crisis 9 months postpartum
I was voluntary and quickly DTO’d due to not being able to articulate I was uncomfortable with the room I was in.
Due to COVID no visitors were allowed, however, hopefully if not ideal patients can at least FaceTime/messenger family
The one time the third floor went outside I don’t recalling grass, I believe it was all pebbles. When I transitioned to the second floor, there was a window in the room and we were able to go to the gym for group. I would hope that on the weekends, the third floor gets to visit the gym, I did not during my stay in 2023. The staff on the third floor, for the exact people, I need in my life to get help at that time. Essentially angels to me.
