I had to stop coming to this place after a miscommunication they made and they didn't take any steps to help me recover from it. After my session with one of the psychiatrists named Dr. Hneich, she demanded that I go down the hall to get bloodwork. Since I was part of the Merrifield program, I assumed that it was covered with my insurance. I was wrong. She didn't clearly communicate to me that the Labcorp wasn't part of the program and their insurance requirements were different. I am disappointed in her for this. If you are going to force someone to get a treatment and you are not being honest about the provider not being part of your program, that is unacceptable. After I finished my bloodwork, I got sent home a $680 bill. I was devastated and my mental health did get worse because of this instead of being improved. It didn't get covered by my insurance and I was upset with the program for not helping me cover the expense, because this bloodwork was a requirement by the doctor. The program didn't take any responsibility for this mistake. I had to switch to a different health care provider that does a better job about being upfront about costs. They also helped me find a significantly cheaper way to get bloodwork done by Any Lab Test Now that I didn't know about from before. This Merrifield Center didn't explain ways to get bloodwork done that was affordable. If you plan to get treatment here, you need to be proactive about what is covered by your insurance and ask for alternatives. You may be demand to get a service done that isn't affordable and they will not be upfront about it unlike other providers. I will say that my therapist, Desiree, was amazing and helpful. Each session with her did improve my mental health. I saw her for almost a year. It hurts me to give this center a low rating. However, due to their billing miscommunication, I did need to stop coming to the center and it is my responsibility to let others know to be careful about the prices.

Went through this program around 2016. Detox was as comfortable as could be. Scenic place, open for family to visit. Beautiful location on the side of a mountain. Programming wasn't overwhelming. Food came from hospital but was surprisingly good. Watched movies afterwards and went into the city for meetings each day Most concerning downfall.. Nursing staff gossiping about clients. Attitude from nursing was to be expected. Tgey would also speak to techs on client situations that was bothersome. We could hear everything that was said. To add to: Random strangers in NA/AA knew how long I was in treatment and pointed her out as the problem

14+ months still going strong, thanks to my 28 days at Pathways last January. Incredible, amazing treatment center; compassionate staff, good food, cozy rooms.. just enough regimented schedule to keep folks on task, and just enough freedom to not feel like you’re locked up in there. Great variety of group sessions. I loved it there. I can’t thank the staff enough. That place absolutely pulled me out of the deep end and gave me a leg up to get started at sobriety, and saved my life.

I have been seeing David Geho for about 3 1/2 years, and I can honestly say he has helped me tremendously. Through some very difficult times, he has always been professional, understanding, and genuinely caring. He creates an environment where it is easy to open up without feeling judged, and he has given me tools and perspectives that have truly improved my life. What stands out most is that he actually listens and takes the time to understand what you are going through. Over the years, I have seen major positive changes in myself because of the work we have done together. I had a great experience at TFC buckeystown. The staff were amazing people and always willing to help. Theres alot of activities and awesome food made by a chef. The community and speaks were great too. Overall I recommend to anyone looking for help with sobriety.

Spero Health is hands down the best addiction treatment center. I’ve been to over 5 different places to be able to get subs, and I’m blown away at the quality of service Spero provides!! I drove 1.5 hours to get here and it’s worth it. The office is quiet, clean, smells good, and plays good music. The staff are so incredibly attentive and kind. Lewis Gale MC was the best place for me during a crisis 9 months postpartum I was voluntary and quickly DTO’d due to not being able to articulate I was uncomfortable with the room I was in. Due to COVID no visitors were allowed, however, hopefully if not ideal patients can at least FaceTime/messenger family The one time the third floor went outside I don’t recalling grass, I believe it was all pebbles. When I transitioned to the second floor, there was a window in the room and we were able to go to the gym for group. I would hope that on the weekends, the third floor gets to visit the gym, I did not during my stay in 2023. The staff on the third floor, for the exact people, I need in my life to get help at that time. Essentially angels to me.

Valley is just one of a long list of places that offer helpful resources it is NOT the be all end all of rehabs and it doesn't act like it is. Valley helped me when I was a child and their crisis counselors letter kept me out of juvy so years later after my 8th OD I picked them as my first rehab since they helped me in the past. 1 year 11 months sober now, Everyone is kind and helpful and fufills the role they were assigned. Part of getting sober is to stop blaming all your problems on the world and others and a lot of people in these replies seem to have had a skewed view of what VCSB was supposed to do or made mistakes and blame the situation they put themselves in on this place. I say none of this to put myself above them, everyone is in different phases of there recovery and I only wish the best for every person who is involuntarily or voluntarily chosing to go here. I chose VCSB and I followed the directions to a Tbut the most important factor was chosing everyday to try an be better, if you try to be a little bit better than the day before you will do whatever you set yourself upon. Thank you VCSB for helping me at my lowest.

I recently started seeing Kyle Calhoun, she is professional, understanding, knowledgeable and friendly.
