Amazing service and kind understanding therapists. I've been using horizon for close to 2 years now and have received tremendous care. Scott Bradley, whom I see, never pushes me to follow by the book therapy and allows me to choose my own path. A fantastic listener and patient therapist, he has seen me at my worst and best. I ALWAYS feel encouraged, safe, and cared for when I'm there. I have come a long way thanks to him. Dr Gilmore is amazing. So helpful, understanding, and compassionate. Also very thorough. Can't say as much for everyone else. Some people are just RUDE and you can definitely tell they DO NOT enjoy working there. But as far as counselors, doctor's, and nurses, they are all amazing.

It's an okay place though my mom had a bad experience (she requested a female therapist and was given a male one; overall didn't have a good experience and switched her place). I've had an okay one though. the waitlist is HELL though. took a year for autism and ADHD testing and the Dr didn't even do ADHD testing. and I need more testing but insurance + waitlist isn't great right now.
But my therapist is nice though, so no complaints there

I have been going to this clinic for 6 years. It wasn't bad when I first started. Now they have gone so far downhill they are literally causing negative side effects from lack of knowledge on their end, lack of informing the patients, and lack of taking our individual needs into account. They hold our lives in their hands and they don't care and allow shrinks to withhold medicine that effects us physically for the dumbest of reasons. They refrained from lowering my dose after I properly requested it numerous, making it take longer to get out of the program. They hand out medicine that is not airtight so it starts turning bad before I'm through with the month then on dose day the medicine is very fresh and too strong. It disrupts my husband's and my daily routines. It's miserable.
My experiences with the clinic may not have been has bad as some of the rest, but they really have not been putting the patient and their health first. I had to let anyone who might be thinking of starting at this clinic know my experiences. My counselor of five years was great, the current are fantastic, the rest is a mess

Recovery is hard. It's even harder when there's HIPAA laws in place but counselors & nurses spread your medical business around with other patients. Counselor Martha Baker not only doesn't know how to do her job but spends all her time gossiping & talking about herself in meetings. I'm pretty sure instead of wasting my time 4 days a week for an hour talking about her college life in Alaska & her drunken husband, she's supposed to be helping with life & recovery goals for the patient. She chased me off. I'm looking for a new clinic.

Today, Region Ten Crisis Unit was the only one to help me. They picked me up and brought me in to see a nurse and doctor. Then, set me up for more help next week! Really a wonderful experience during a crisis for me. It s hard to be positive when abuse is happening, but today Region Ten spent hours deescalating and managing my crisis issues well. It s hard to say: I was raped and in the UVA care unit, I was assaulted by 3 long relationship partners and needed shelter for emergency and care for the physical abuse. Now, my mental health is in crisis after a 7-month roommate situation turned violent. All this past trauma builds up and comes up when new abuse. I was able to get out all the bad, plan for counseling for future mental and physical care. Thank you! Your team even stayed late, and it s nice to know others in crisis can come to you.

I’ve used NRVCS for about 2 years and I can honestly say they are the only facility that has ever truly cared about my mental well being. I’ve been seeing my doctor for quite a while and I have made a huge improvement since being in her care. With my diagnosis, most doctors give up after a while or never even really try other than prescribe a cocktail of meds. My doctor at NRVCS takes time to listen and cares enough to make the right medical decisions for my mental and physical well being. NRVCS in my opinion is the best place I’ve gone to. I also highly recommend their crisis center. An amazing resource that helps a lot if you’re in desperate need. These people truly care IF you treat them with respect :)).

I needed to bring my fiance in to the ER last night. Let's be realistic, no one enjoys needing to go to the hospital, but everyone we encountered made it as pleasant of an experience as you could hope to have. We were treated with respect and kindness, and the wait time was very reasonable. Nicholes Dasovich, PA was wonderful to work with and was very thorough in his diagnostic approach. Recovery is like that for me, and Recovery Unplugged is always by my side every step of the way.

This was my first time in treatment. Honestly, it completely changed my life. The bonds that I ve made in this place, the sober network I ve built, getting my psych meds right, the entire staff and facilitators- have all been such an extraordinary experience for me. I never understood the difference between just being sober/clean versus actually working a program/recovery. RU has helped me to understand that recovery goes beyond clean time- and it s about changing who you are for the better and continuing to progress as a person overall. I highly recommend this place to anyone who has even the slightest desire to change their life for the better. Gold star all around! AND THANK YOU FOR CHANGING MY LIFE!

not a bad place, really helped me find a community that i could relate and connect with. i ended up AMA-ing for my own reasons. with these places, there’s always room for improvement, i think there could’ve been a lot more to do and get engaged in in residence, i wish we had movie nights or kareoke for example. and i wish the woman’s group didn’t feel so…misogynistic? just felt like everything we did was very girly? the best i can put it ig. idk i found myself watching a lot of TV because of how little there was to do. if you’re looking for somewhere serene, you won’t find it here, BUT i think if you come in with an open mind, and do what you need to do, and DONT get caught up in other clients, you can find a lot of peace in sobriety. remember what you came for. (it’s you) goodluck in there! be nice to the TA’s too, they DO care about you.

If you’re looking for a place that actually treats addiction like the chronic, complex, identity-dismantling condition it is, MARC is it. They take time, care, and effort, offering long-term care that dares to go beyond the hope of a 28-day radical transformation. The staff really knows what they’re doing, and they manage to be both clinicians and humans. It’s rare to find a program this ethical, compassionate, and effective. I couldn’t recommend MARC more!
