Day 280 the excellent home geriatric doctor is awesome. The benefits are excellent. We ve adapted and so appreciate the VA! Day 2 and not as impressed but they did fix a wrong scan order so we didn t have to pack up and leave. Was told meds ready and not there yet. A very long day running around getting nothing done. Day 1 was very impressed with the care my 93 yr old vet fatherin-law received today. He couldn t have asked for more. All difficulties were addressed, the nearby UVA pharmacy was super speedy and convenient. A different specialty drug through the VA pharm was free and can now be taken.. They have MDs that can come to your house. We got appts lined up a week after we called. Everyone was super awesome. The RN couldn t been nicer. MD super thorough. A wonderful asset for veterans! We waded through another VA out of state and it was hell getting things set up and no thoroughness medically but also provided great services. We re happy to find this easier. Thank u!

I ve been going here for 6 now. When BHG took over the old clinic, River City, there were growing pains as any company has going through a takeover. Then the pandemic happens during the takeover. Staff was leaving left & right because patients blamed them for literally EVERTHING. The patients refused to see the bigger picture and wanted to blame staff for following the pandemic rules. BHG was the only clinic in RVA excepting new patients during the pandemic because they genuinely want to SAVE LIVES! Somehow so many patients complained about so many new patients holding up lines. Anyway, with all of that being said, I ve seen staff come & go BUT THE STAFF THEY HAVE NOW IS SO CARING & want nothing but THE best for us!!! Dr. Swainey is so down to earth once you see how much he relates to us, you ll have so much respect for his compassion to help us that are stuck in this awful cycle. I could write a book on how much I ve grown to adore the staff & they ALL deserve the absolute best in life. Every single one of them have played a part in my new outlook of life and I owe that to them. <3

i ve been going to this clinic for over a year and i have truly enjoyed making the relationships that i have with everyone who works there. they actually care about your well-being, you re never just a number. i feel like the kind souls who work here really do put their all into everyone who steps foot in their door. my counselor, lindsey, is amazing and has helped me so much. i have never once felt judgement or disdain from her or anybody else there. i feel confident when i tell people about BHG because i know that they extend a warm welcome to everybody, regardless of the circumstances. thank you for making recovery possible.

They were prompt on appointment when I arrived. Staff were polite and efficient. The tech performing my testing was very nice and explained everything in detail.

McShin helped save me. If it weren't for them & the Destiny House, a home I could live in with my daughter, I don't believe I could say today, that I'm over a year sober. There's no way I would be without my child, without her, there would be no recovery for me & for that I give a universe of gratitude. They placed me in the right directions for my mental health & a career building program as well. Thanks to everyone who works at McShin for all the love and support you have given to not only me, but my daughter as well.

I just wanted to share a bit about my time at Mcshin,. I had a very good time. They have helped me a lot in my recovery journey. I recommend Anyone that is willing to help themselves this is a great spot for them to move forward and better themselves

McShin is a special place. No place will fix you if you aren't 100% committed to fixing yourself. A major part of recovery is realizing that what we had done before was not working and we are the person that is most in the way of our recovery. With that being said, if you are committed to your recovery The McShin Foundation is a great place to help you get back on your feet and help you learn how to live your life in your recovery from addiction. Part of the beauty of their program is that you can progress at your own pace. I stayed in their sober living program until I felt ready and that was great for me. No place is perfect, but McShin is a very special place.

Wow. Super beautiful location to host your event. I had the most remarkable time here.

My experience at New Life Christian Retreat Center was truly memorable. The location is stunning, exuding peace and tranquility. The staff members are warm, helpful, and accommodating without being intrusive. The accommodations are cozy, and spacious. The retreat center has on-property access to the North Anna River and scenic forest trails. I was there for a women's retreat, but would suggest this site for a wedding, family reunion, or just a place to unplug and relax. If you want to get out for a daytrip, the area has plenty of historical attractions, plus the retreat center is not far from Ashland Berry Farm, Lake Anna State Park, and Kings Dominion. My group stayed on the property -- you'll understand why when you see it. Personally, I left feeling rejuvenated and uplifted after my stay at New Life Christian Retreat Center. I highly recommend this place.
