Arrowwood has been a great experience. The people here make all the difference. Jamie is EXCELLENT at what he does as an alumni coordinator. He does amazing peer support work. Keegan, Jess, Ms. T, and Ajai are phenomenal group facilitators. Uschell, Joel, Suge, Quan, Claud, Crystal, and Tracy are amazing BHT's. Everyone is so supportive. This subject can be one that either rips loved ones apart or brings them closer together. As I hope for everyone and anyone that people open there minds and hearts up to those who ask for help. We are not bad people just as cancer is a disease so is addiction! I was never warned by my doctor that the medication he was given me would turn my life upside down and when it did my doctor cut me loose. Coming from a family with addiction problems I then knew I had to get help. This treatment center is great compared to others! They help you with EVERYTHING from your addiction to your transportation needs. Be prepared for friends and family to turn their back on you because it will happen. Narrow minded people think this isn t getting help it s replacing on addiction with another. If that s the case then almost everyone in the world are addicts. If you get the flu and take medication for it same thing, you get poison ivy you get medicine for it same thing. Yes I know it s not 100% exact but hopefully some of you get my point here! Please stop knocking us down when we are doing everything we can to fix the problem. I promise you if you take treatment seriously and friends and family support you and even get involved in your treatment you will find yourself again. You will be a better, stronger and caring person!!!!

I just want to say how great this center is!!! I came from PA to train for my current job and attended this clinic during that time. This clinic has their duck's in a row and some of the friendliest and most helpful ppl I've ever met in my lifetime. ARS is a life saver. I left to go to another clinic due to pricing, but came back to ARS. My counselor actually cares and I am very grateful to have her. The nurses are professional and friendly. They went through a lot of personnell changes, but the newer staff seems to fit right in especially the nurses. I don't know where I would be without this program. I have been both in group and private therapy here at August's Health Behavioral Health. They are warm, kind, understanding, and help you to solve problems that are getting in the way of you living a healthy and happy life. They are knowledgeable of other agencies in the community that might be able to also assist you. There are a multitude of licensed therapists if you find you don't mesh with one. Office staff is very welcoming as well.

I have watched Grafton change the lives of children and families. Are they perfect? Definitely not. Is there any facility that is better? To be quite honest, not that I have seen and not with the scope of offerings that Grafton has. Although the campus is locked down to prevent elopement, there are large outdoor areas and the students get to go outside when they are walking from building-to-building. The scenery and the location make the views absolutely gorgeous. Inside the greenhouse, grows beautiful produce you can purchase for your own gardens, and the kids love spending time there. The children go to amusement parks, zoos, aquariums, movies, out to eat, and more. The children get to enjoy activities such as music therapy, time at the Clubhouse, and playing on their basketball team. The staff is very communicative with families and offer the families support opportunities. Grafton is a HUGE advocate of children improving their relationships with their families during their stay there, and will do what it takes to help contribute to that. The kiddos have school on campus. The classes are small and have sensory areas where children can take time for themselves as needed. There are all different kinds of celebrations on campus from holidays, to birthdays, to seasonal events. I have met very few people that I felt like didn't care for these young people. If you need a secure long-term facility for your child, I would definitely consider Grafton before anywhere else. Thank you, Grafton, for what you have done for our family and others. I highly recommend this holistic and well-rounded program.

Today, Region Ten Crisis Unit was the only one to help me. They picked me up and brought me in to see a nurse and doctor. Then, set me up for more help next week! Really a wonderful experience during a crisis for me. It s hard to be positive when abuse is happening, but today Region Ten spent hours deescalating and managing my crisis issues well. It s hard to say: I was raped and in the UVA care unit, I was assaulted by 3 long relationship partners and needed shelter for emergency and care for the physical abuse. Now, my mental health is in crisis after a 7-month roommate situation turned violent. All this past trauma builds up and comes up when new abuse. I was able to get out all the bad, plan for counseling for future mental and physical care. Thank you! Your team even stayed late, and it s nice to know others in crisis can come to you.

I participated in Orchard Mountain Recovery's IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program), as well as their Aftercare. The team of professionals at OMR exceeded my expectations! The team is made up of counselors who themselves have been through the wringer of addiction, which adds a sense of relatability to their guidance and support. The programs are a mixture of group sessions, education, amazing speakers, and videos/movies about addiction and recovery, so it's always stimulating and I learned something new every session. OMR's IOP and Aftercare were the perfect 'step-downs' for me and definitely a very important tool for my 'toolbox.'

The system is overwhelmed and underfunded when it comes to mental health but Northwestern has been a life saver, quite literally, for my child. Her caseworker Annie is absolutely amazing and supportive and her psychiatrist is compassionate and extremely helpful. We were truly lost before we found this support system. The staff is organized and efficient. Registration was easy and visits are always a pleasant experience. We rarely wait and my child s safety is a priority. I truly can not complain at all. We have been using this service for nearly a year and the positive changes are impossible to express with words. Thank you so much, Northwestern.
