I have been to several clinics and ARS is by far the best clinic I have ever been to. The entire counseling staff is amazing and really cares about each and every patient. The Director, Sharonda, is very personable and is truly a caring person who really goes the extra mile to help you. The nurses are the best I have ever seen and really show their compassion and caring personalities. Its a shame the SAME 2 PATIENTS keep posting negative reviews, because this place truly is a God send and has saved may lives.

It’s unfortunate that the clinic has unhappy patients who write bad reviews because they don’t get their way. The clinic saved my life. The nurses are caring and the new director is extremely nice and always makes herself available for patients. Like most clinics the counselors come and go but there are several that have been there for awhile and are great. My counselor Ann is amazing! No the clinic is not perfect but they care and try. If you’re serious about your recovery ARS is a great place.

Today, Region Ten Crisis Unit was the only one to help me. They picked me up and brought me in to see a nurse and doctor. Then, set me up for more help next week! Really a wonderful experience during a crisis for me. It s hard to be positive when abuse is happening, but today Region Ten spent hours deescalating and managing my crisis issues well. It s hard to say: I was raped and in the UVA care unit, I was assaulted by 3 long relationship partners and needed shelter for emergency and care for the physical abuse. Now, my mental health is in crisis after a 7-month roommate situation turned violent. All this past trauma builds up and comes up when new abuse. I was able to get out all the bad, plan for counseling for future mental and physical care. Thank you! Your team even stayed late, and it s nice to know others in crisis can come to you.

I had some work done on my knee and I was really pleased with every step of the way. The front desk was always sweet and helpful. I got a second opinion from another surgeon at the hospital, which was very helpful and reassuring for me. The surgery day couldn't have gone better. I was irrationally worked up about a lot of things and each nurse / staff was able to provide comfort and reassurance. I wanted to thank everyone and I want to include Charlotte and the anaesthesiologist (i'm sorry i forget his name) for their exceptional support.

I moved into the Avalon house about 8 months ago. It has really become a home to me. There is a lot of women in one home but we all manage to get along rather well. The Avalon house has been a safe , supportive, clean environment. We operate similar to the Oxford model in that we hold one another accountable. Anastasia is a hands on housing manager but she gives you the room you need to be an adult and make the decisions for your recovery that you feel are right. If you follow the rules, and prove to her that you’re trustworthy then she affords you that trust and she is understanding. I truly believe that Avalon is one of the main reasons that I’ve been successful in my recovery thus far.
It’s imperative in early recovery to surround one’s self with like minded people and Avalon is absolutely a home that you will find the resources you need to grow and thrive into the person you want to be. I absolutely suggest this home to anyone that is willing to put in the work to live a sober life. It’s all about what we put into it that determines what we get out of it.

Medmark most definitely saved my life. When the doctor decided he wasn't giving me my pain medicine any longer because he didn't want to get in trouble (this was 2019) and I didn't know what to do since I have chronic pain from several severe bone breaks. So I called medmark and on my first day of treatment I wasn't worried anymore. I've been going here for over 5 years almost 6 now and they have never made me feel bad for anything they have been nothing but caring and supportive. I really thlnk they have saved my life and lots of other lives as well.

I am so incredibly frustrated with this place and how my treatment and finances were handled. I did virtual IOP. It was ok, but I didn’t really get much out of my sessions despite my efforts of participating and having the mindset of wanting to get better. For the cost, I don’t think it was really worth it.
I did not think the psychiatrist I saw listened to me. I was dealing with certain issues that I brought up and I thought that they were overlooked. I was given medication that did absolutely nothing for my mental state and the psychiatrist kept assuming that I was doing better, despite me telling them that I wasn’t feeling any better. The psychiatrist would also go on personal tangents about their hobbies, interests, and showing me photos from vacations which was extremely unproductive. I understand wanting to have a personal connection with clients, but it gets to a point where it’s unprofessional.
The real kicker out of my whole experience is the financial part. The bill in my portal was significantly more than the bill that I received in the mail. I have been trying to resolve this issue, with multiple emails and phone calls with absolutely no help. Tony in finance is repeatedly telling me that my portal amount is correct when it is NOT. And the issue is still not resolved. I have reached out to supervisors and employees who have said that they would have the head of finance reach out to me, and no one has.
This whole experience was extremely frustrating and I suggest you seek treatment elsewhere.

I just started going here a couple months ago. Dr. Edmonds has been thorough and very helpful to me. Dr. Jordan was very helpful as well. The administrative staff, nurses, and techs have all been polite, professional and helpful. There really are no words for how incredibly wonderful Newport was for my child. She went in with so many struggles and came out with a completely different attitude and coping skills to deal with the hard times. They were very good. They helped me when I was at my lowest. They worked together to distract me. I awoled a lot, people probably say I was supposed to go there but I did. They truly helped me. The therapists are also really good, and well trained. I really can’t call out just one person, because they all came together to support me.

I cannot speak more highly of Newport. I read negative reviews when considering sending my 12 year old. I was terrified. No parent wants to do this, let alone drop their kid out of state. It was a horrible decision but we decided to take the leap for fear that her life may be over if we didn’t. (Or that she would never move past the pain she was in, at best…)
Our experience was wonderful. Newport treats the kids like they matter. The rooms are cozy and more home-like, which warmed my mama heart. This place is what I wish all crisis intervention places are like, but sadly are not. Children deserve better. Newport does it right.
My child is better off for having been through the program. She came back with tools and a better outlook. We then got her in a therapeutic school and I’m happy to say she’s thriving! I’ll never say it isn’t a journey. She still struggles here and there. But we are light years beyond what we hoped for back then and I attribute quite a bit to the care she got at Newport. She would agree and that says something …

CCG has been a very important part of my recovery, both the mental and addiction parts. They offer medication assistance for withdrawals and cravings for opiates. I have an addiction counselor, Tammy, that is amazing! And a therapist, Monica, that helps me tremendously! CCG offers IOP for addiction and mental health. I really love that CCG is open minded and assists in any way to get a person clean, sober and healthy and happy. I want to add that the director, Gordon is avaliable to talk to and takes a vested interest in us clients.

True Recovery changed my life entirely. I could never repay them for lending me the strength and guidance I couldnt find in myself at the time. In just a few short months it was like I transformed into someone I was proud to be. I had more than sobriety, I had recovery. Internaĺly I was as rich as I could be, all while holding a job and paying my own bills for the first time too. I was able to do things for/with my daughter that I'd never done. It was an amazing experience and I recommend True Recovery to anyone. I am living proof that it works.
