This plce truly saved my life, i went there for substances other thwn alcohol, at times it can feel like being in high school all over again but at th3 end of the day it just works as long as youre willing to do the work, the staff goes above and beyond and out if their way to help you. The staff is truly amazing and caring and they know how youre feeling as theyve been thru what youre goin thru personally, they will give u the shirt off of their backs, they teach u all of the tools and the skills needed to stay clean and sober, i unfortunstely walked oit aboit a week ahead of time due to my own stupidity but thank god i have 44 days as of the time im writing this.. if god forbid i messed up and got off track and reqlized i needed help asap Harmony Ridge would be the absolute first place i contact, thank you all for helping save me *Barboursville Location*

If you have the option to go to another hospital, take it. This place is truly awful. They don't care about their employees or their patients.

Please DO NOT HAVE SURGERY DONE AT THIS HOSPITAL! If you look at my reviews, you will see that I always try and give everyone the benefit of the doubt but when it comes to KDMC, I absolutely in good conscience cannot do that. This hospital forever changed my life and not for the good! In 2022, it was discovered that I had a form of hyperthyroidism and my endocrinologist, Dr. Yang said my only option was to have it removed. Well, that turned out not to be true, as there were other options. I think they like to make you do the surgery bc it’s worth the most money. Sadly I did not realize this until it was too late. Dr Yang told me I would feel so much better once my thyroid was gone, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. I chose to have the surgery done by Dr. Van Beneden. He had always been very kind to our family and I felt I could trust him to complete what should have been a simple procedure. After having the surgery, I immediately didn’t feel well. My calcium started dropping which was supposedly normal, so I was hoping it would get better. They released me as planned and within 24 hrs, I was back at the ER. This went on for days, running back and forth to the ER, waiting for 6 hrs in the waiting room feeling like I was going to die! They should have just readmitted me, rather than making me struggle in the waiting room for hours. The nightmare didn’t end there. I literally felt like I was going to die everyday!!! Well, it turns out, they DESTROYED MY PARATHYROID GLANDS during the surgery. Not 1, Not 2, ALL OF THEM!! I now have ZERO parathyroid functioning!! So not only did I lose most of my thyroid, but I ALSO LOST ALL of my parathyroid functioning as well. I also recently found out that they left a portion of my thyroid so they have been treating me as if I had a total thyroidectomy when in fact I only had a partial and now my levels are starting to act up again. So I will probably have to do another thyroidectomy which is beyond scary. I have struggled greatly ever since this horrendous surgery. I have to take tons of medications each day. I cannot work or do any of the things I did before. My life has been turned upside down. I am just getting to where I can go a whole week without having to go to the ER (sometimes anyways). I had to change my diet to gluten free, I cannot have oats, milk, certain waters, champagne or any alcohol, most medications, or anything that interferes with calcium absorption which is pretty much EVERYTHING! I have to eat like 4 things everyday. I cannot go out to restaurants or enjoy regular exercise. My sodium stays too low, my sugar stays too low, and I have lost 30 lbs! This is just a small amount of what I go through each day. To sum things up “I can no longer do the things normal people get to do!” From morning till night I have to focus on living, which has become extremely stressful in its self. I have severe panic attacks, muscle spasms, twitching, numbness, chest pains, extreme sensitivity to cold/hot, shocking pains, dizziness, neuropathy, heart problems, digestive issues and more. I get white stingy spots from lack of blow flow. There are times where I cannot even hold my head up. I have missed out on so much with my children, grandchildren, and husband. My husband had to give up his job just so he could take care of me. I feel terrible not being able to do regular activities with them. Now KDMC is profiting off of the damage they’ve caused which I will be reporting! I filed a report through the BBB and am working on filing complaints to the medical board. I am also writing other officials. I am also working on switching all of my doctors to SOMC. I would’ve done it already but frankly, I don’t feel like it. I don’t feel like doing anything for that matter. I am just grateful to God for being alive!! Without God and my family, I would not be here. Oh and my family physician Dr. Christopher Wiler, who has been an absolute lifesaver!! Please, whatever you do, do not have a surgery done here!! Don’t have any procedure done here for that matter.

I've been here at The Recovery Village in Groveport since September 16th. Its been the best experience of Recovery I've ever experienced, the staff is great, food is great and the rooms are awesome. Mel Timberlake and Rochelle Sparks are Awesome! I really enjoy joking around with Ann and Hislord from the nursing staff. Anyways all around great place for Recovery!!! Can't recommend this place enough, top notch staff and new men's residential building is super nice. They will take care of you and set you up for your next step to recovery with as good of service as it gets. Learned alot during group there and it has completely changed my mindset. If your thinking about going, do yourself this favor!

Great place to visit if you are a recovering addict and or addict and need help .

Within the past year I have received VA benefits for a service related disability. I began going to the Beckley VA Hospital soon afterwards. Before receiving my benefits I had always used private insurance and seen private Doctors with mixed results and experiences. I also have friends and relatives that are veterans living in other states that have had bad experiences with VA clinics and Hospitals where they live. I am writing this review from my heart to let as many people as I can to know the Hospital staff here are the best people I have ever dealt with when it comes to healthcare. I’ve never had a bad experience. The Nurses, Doctors, Staff personnel and all other employees are hands-down the absolute best I’ve ever had to deal with. Whenever I call or visit them I know I’m going to be given the absolute best care I can get anywhere! I just want them to know I appreciate everything they do for me.

Firstly, stay away from Stephany Hasberry! I was prescribed Linzess and asked if I should take it with food. Her response? "Whichever doesn't make your tummy hurt." I'm lucky to have a good pharmacist because without even asking he warned me profusely that "Taking this with food increases the risk of gastrointestinal side effects like diarrhea, gas, and extreme abdominal pain." Dodged a terrible bullet and never seeing her again. Secondly, stay away from Sara Thomas! The American Counseling Association has a pretty on point red flag list that I've personally encountered during treatment at Signature so please be aware of: 🚩!Dismissal of symptoms, insensitive/judgmental, rushing diagnosis/overdiagnosing, not listening/interrupting, imposing beliefs, and overly defensive about feedback/boundaries!🚩 You should Always feel safe! If you experience anything even remotely like this with a doctor/therapist tell someone you trust and RUN! Be safe out there🤗

My experience at The Bluffs was honestly the best experience I've had for recovery! I have been to one other facility in the past and Yea alot is the same thing.. But there is something about the people there... Caring. Loving. Compassionate. Understanding. Heck even months after I was discharged from their care I still feel their care! Brandon reaches out almost like a good friend checking in! Kaitlyn my therapist there talked to me one day one the phone while I was going through some motions for almost 2 hours!!! Now if that doesn't speak words to move mountains I don't know what does! Even the friends I made there we are still in contact and talk almost daily! One person I definitely miss and appreciate also is Pastor Mike! (someone tell him I still think he smells nice)! Haha! He'll know what I'm talking about! If you need any sort of help with life and it's addictive sides please reach out to them! They save lives and keep them going! I would love to come back as a speaker and talk about my time there!

If you need recovery treatment, a jump start, or a hard reset , this is the place for you. I learned a lot, learned to love myself. My therapist and case manager were so loving and helpful. I’m 35 days sober and counting!
