Hi, My name is Brittany woodruff, my personal experience with Nicasa has been a true blessing. I came to Nicasa in 2022, me and my children were homeless. I had just gave birth to a Beautiful baby girl!!! In the time of our homelessness, the shelter we were staying at refered me to them!! I called them and made appointment. When the time came I went to the appointment and they were so sweet, understanding, and very resourceful!!!. I was amazed, and happy!!! First off, it's a blessing itself to have a facility FREE OF CHARGE!!! They help step by step, to get your life in order and back together again!!!♥️ Nicasa has truly been a blessing to us, and always will be!!! We are still with them still this day!!! Ms. Cindy is 1 of the few and rare woman I have ever met. This woman was a Huge BLESSING!!!! THE THINGS SHE DID FOR ME WAS RARE!!! SHE WOULD GO OUT IF HER WAY, TO MAKE SURE I WAS MAKING IT TO MY APPOINTMENTS, AND ALSO A SUPPORT TO ME EMOTIONALLY AND MENTALLY!!! I am so grateful for Nicasa and the incredible support I received from their team. With the guidance of my caseworker, Ms. Darlene, I was able to make real progress in my life. She not only encouraged me to continue my education, but also helped me get my driver’s license and supported me through the process of having my background expunged. Because of her kindness, professionalism, and dedication, I have been able to put my life back together in ways I never thought possible. I also want to recognize her supervisor, Ms. Sindey, whose support and understanding made a huge difference. Both of them carry a genuine heart for the community and give their time, energy, and compassion to help families across Lake County. I did my parenting classes at Nicasa North Chicago and the people there are really nice and willing to help. Gloria Gomez led the classes and she always positive and listened to everyone. I like how they are really trying to help others….

Symetria has helped me with my alcohol issues. My therapist, Deshae has been involved with me through the good and bad. They give me reasons to move forward towards my recovery.

It's all in the name "Recovery home". . Rosecrance recovery home is one of the smartest decisions I've ever made. Woodstock is one of the cleanest buildings I've ever been in. If staying sober is your goal, this place is second to none. There may be a lot of rules but nothing out of control. The rules are quite simple by comparison to having a lifestyle that was out of control. Everybody here is very helpful as far as the staff goes. Not to mention the intelligence of some of the staff is amazing. Life skills are very important. Rosecrance recovery home put you on a healthy path for everyday living. Woodstock recovery home is run by caring attentive staff. The homes are beautiful and kept nice and clean. Anyone looking to establish a network of good people in the sober community should consider this program. I waited a couple weeks for a spot to open up and I’m so grateful I didn’t look elsewhere .I’ve been here a little over a week and I’m happy and more hopeful than I’ve been in years. 🥰👍👍👍

This is a great sober living home The staff is really like family to me Structured Needed environment My counselor is Jay and It’s hard to find the perfect words to express my gratitude for him He’s an amazing human being With solid recovery experience, AA program focused, caring person. I have the misfortune of being a guest of the hospital to many times in the last couple of years with a heart condition. I will say that all my visits were at a high srandard of health care. The only problem I've been dissatisfied with was lack of on time service not because of non varong personal but lack of enough personal to keep up with the demand of the patients!!!

I had a MRI done on Thursday July 10 2025 and couldn't of asked for a better crew then I had super nice and friendly. If I ever need another one done im heading back here to have it done. THANKS for making my visit great

I am in the infant and mother's. I have never been admitted to a hospital as an adult. 100% LOVE the staff here. Nurses, doctors make you feel safe and secure. Best experience I have ever had. The view from my room nothing but pond and ducks. Very happy. The food so far pretty freakin 🔥. Thank you all here for making us feel extra special as mommies.

Out of public view location... but VERY nice facility!

I love how I get an opportunity to share with others what is going on with me and I love the feedback I receive from the ones that choose to reply. I also get to listen and hear about what other people are going through and I enjoy being able to share some of my experience strength and hope with the newcomer or the still suffering addict. This is a platform where you can find all the help you need and not just in recovery but in your everyday life. There is ton of information on here for me to explore as well as events I can attend if I choose to. I consider this platform another form of treatment the only difference is you aren’t obligated to do anything you don’t want to do. I love being able to connect with people on here whether I know them or not. We each get a chance to help one another and that’s the beauty of Gateway connect plus u can attend zoom meetings which is conducted by recovery coaches and other Gateway staff. This platform allows me to get outside of myself and the more I get on the platform there is so much to do and learn. I’m so grateful for all the continued support I receive each and everyday. It’s also a place where you can have access to 24-7 and no one on here is going to judge you. I enjoy the freedom to be able to express myself and the joy of witnessing others changing and desiring to stay clean one day at a time with the help of this Gateway connect platform.

Well, I came with a mindset of not wanting to come but that immediately changed by Danny (Clinic Supervisor) who taught wonderfully. I learned more in 2 weeks than a lifetime. Truly worth my while and then some. Thank you intensely.

this is a top notch place, the staff is verry professional and will not berate you at all they will teach you things you never knew about your self as they they showed me. not just the mistakes i made, but why i made them and how not to fall in to the same traps again. its not about what happened, but not to let it happen again. I’m going to start off by saying Rob is a very understanding and good guy. Right after meeting him, I was comfortable talking to him about my situation, history, personal life, etcetera. He always seemed happy to see me, and happy to see me doing well and staying out of trouble. During our sessions he was relatable and made the sessions worth my time, not only the present, but for the future as well. I wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere else for counseling after seeing him.
