Finding purpose at Wishope
Working at WisHope has been more than a job - its been a journey of growth, healing and purpose. Everyday, I get to witness transformation, not just in the lives of those we serve, but in myself as well. Being part of a team that helps people rebuild their lives from addiction has taught me compassion, resilience, and the power of hope.
This place isn't just an addiction treatment center - its a second chance for everyone who walks through its doors, including me. Growing in my career through this company has reminded me that meaningful work truly changes lives, starting with your own.

I went to bridge house after going to an inpatient. Going to Bridge house for the first time was an life changing amazing experience especially being there for the holidays up until about 2 weeks ago when i graduated the program. They offer groups I never thought I would get into yoga and meditation. I now enjoy doing both because of bridge house. I enjoyed playing the drums and the keyboard that they have to offer as well. So shout out to bridge house thank you for all your support loving and caring attitude towards me always. This place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! They saved my lyfe for sure and are currently saving my girlfriends lyfe. I can not say enough good things about this place and trust me if it was wack I'd put them on blast. First the nursing staff is more then amazing. I went there to detox from the typical West Side of Chicago herion-fetinol-xylazine-morphine bullshit and knew I was in for a rough couple weeks. Shout out to all the nurses but especially Linda in detox. This lady held my hand and I completely give her all the credit in the world for getting me through that. After detox I went to the men's unit. I can only speak on the councilors I've had cause I've been there twice but John and Tera are amazing in every way. The staff is awesome with special shout outs to D, Sammy, Kurt and Chase for sure. If you've never witnessed one of Chases groups this man will change your lyfe. The rehab itself is like a resort and I called it the Passeges Malibu of Illinois. It's right on the lake and everything is gorgeous. Id recommend this place 100 times over. The only negative thing I have to say is I came with 2 brand new scripts of Alprazalam and Adderall that was destroyed without my consent even though they belonged to me and everyone said I'd get them back but I guess thats rehab for you. If your struggling with anything this is the best possible place for you. They truly save lives.

I've been bringing my dad to this VA for the last few months, and after just our first visit, we knew he was in good hands. Every specialist we've seen have been nothing but hands on, attentive, thorough, empathetic, patient and helpful. From Dr.B in oncology, to Tess up in endoscopy, these women are some of the most kind medical professionals I have ever met, and I hope they know their kindness goes a long way and is still thought of well after. I have had so many wonderful interactions with the staff there, there was a nurse who ordered my dad some lunch as he was in recovery after a procedure, which was such a nice thing to do, I didn't catch her name but she might be the charge nurse in endoscopy maybe? Another thing I really liked about this VA is that if you look lost and wandering the halls, there are many friendly faces around to get you pointed in the right direction, and most of the time they'll ask YOU first lol. There was also a younger man up front who helped lead me to the other building over to 114 through the tunnel, he didn't have to, but he did, just over all blown away by the difference of health care compared to the other VA my dad was going to. And with already having seen someone in Pulmonary, Radiation/oncology, Endoscopy, ED department, mental health, Hematology, Chemotherapy, Pain clinic, XRAY, PET SCAN, and MRI, I have nothing but good things to say.
Thank you kindly, for everything.

Dr. Parikh, Nurses: Brenda, Paloma, & Gabriella, Therapists: Tonya, Jordan, & Sam, Tech: Den (she was working the night of 8/15/26: I believe that was her name), and Paul (AODA) , each contributed in meaningful ways to my experience.
I also want to recognize Tech: Christopher; while I didn’t directly work with him, I witnessed him help multiple patients with their needs, questions & requests; he was immediately proactive in helping patients the moment they needed help with something.
Their compassion, professionalism, attentiveness, & willingness to help did not go unnoticed by us patients. There were also several other techs, nurses, & another doctor who were wonderful, although unfortunately I do not remember their names.
They treated me with kindness & dignity during a time when that mattered tremendously, & I am genuinely grateful for the care they provided.
In the event of a difficult situation, staff and directors are proactive to ensure that the care provided by Aurora was up to standard.
I want this review to primarily recognize the people who did make a difference. Their efforts & kindness had a real impact on other patients’ & my recovery; I appreciate them more than they probably realize.

I was there a few times. The LAST AND FINAL time was about 12 years ago. I was meant to be there. I actually met my husband there. Lol. These people care... they do care, if you care. Counselors can only do so much to help someone who is NOT ready for help. This was state funded. I don't understand all the bad reviews. It's better than Cook County Jail, Lake county Jail and McHenry County Jail. People lived in gutters slept on sidewalks, did anything necessary to fullfull our addictions and then go to a state funded place and complain that it is an awful place. I'll take ATP over active addiction any day. People don't realize how stressful counselors jobs are. They are dealing with some of the worst, entitled people America has to offer. A place can only do so much. They can only help you as much as you want it. If you have found yourself in ATP and are ungrateful for whatever they have to offer, you are not ready. They treated me better than I treated myself. So, I learned alot from ATP. It's not a full on rehab. It's more of a first step to sobriety.
THANK YOU ATP FOR TAKING CARE OF ME BETTER THAN I CARED FOR MYSELF. YOU TOOK ME IN WHEN I NEEDED IT THE MOST. ILL NEVER FORGET WHERE MY SOBRIETY BECAME A POSSIBILITY AND THEN REALITY. NEVER THOUGHT ID GET CLEAN. EVER. IF I CAN DO IT, ANYONE CAN! THANK YOU AGAIN ATP FOR SHOWING ME RESPECT WHILE I WAS GIVING IT ALSO. The last in the reviews that said she got hit, I guarantee, you got him to that point. I've seen alot of disrespect and patients who think they are owed the world in a STATE FUNDED 2 week stay. (If I remember correctly it was 2 weeks.) YOU get back what you put out into the world.
Thank You ATP for helping me get off the streets of Chicago's West side and taking me in. I had a counselor that really believed in me more than I believed in myself. Thank you!

Wisconsin is ranked 19th nationwide in terms of addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $56,625.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Wisconsin vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of the treatment types listed above. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Wisconsin. Most treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance.
