Dr. Shannon Faehling was thorough, compassionate, and spent the time necessary to order the correct tests and get to the bottom of my issue. We have adopted four children, all with special needs. Our current home study expires on May 20. Our current agency does not want to renew our study. They feel we are too old (in our 50's) and have enough children. We are saddened by the fact that we only need a renewal to add another child to our family.
Are you familiar with any agencies that would renew our study for us? Help with finalization and AA? Despite our ages? We have passed the background checks and physicals five times now. We have had local media write about us and USA today did a video about our family.
Even if we found our child tomorrow, we would not have time to remain with current study until finalization.

Reception NEVER answers the phone, I am always redirected to leave a voicemail and often it is not returned promptly. Great place. If you are ready and willing to stop your substance abuse or alcohol use, this facility is a welcoming place. The main focus is on you, and why you use. Not so much on mental illness but they do touch on that. Your first 30 days will or should help you understand your addiction and how to better handle many situations in life so you won't automatically resort to your number 1 response (using). If you are fortunate enough to stay longer it only benefits you more. House managers tend to come and go but counselors are all very good at what they do. 3 meals a day, and dinner every nite cooked by a cook. Overall, great place to start your transition to a better life. You have to want to though .
I would also like to add that you are given drug tests every week, some more than others, and the cups they use are constantly giving false positives. That part is very frustrating at times because even though you know you're not, you, nobody else,you, have to deal with their consequences.

I was placed at Rawhide in 1972, for the summer camp program. I came away a changed youth. I returned to my hometown, and the high-school I had attended. It took a lot of work on my part, as well as the Lord's guidance, but I did graduate with my class. I know in the years since I was there, I had stumbled a few times, but the Lord with his grace, continues to bless me.
Jan, John, Bart and Cherrie, saved my life! The way I was headed, I was sure to be in prison before long. I was able to return the life changing help later on in life, by serving on the board of directors for 12 years.

This is a great place for kids to learn their lesson and do better. I have connections with other parents that have sent they're kids here and they said it helped with their kid being better behaved at school, home, and not only better behaved but well rounded as a whole.

I appreciate them so much especially when I was a child in the system they were very supportive in many different ways and helped my grandparents out quite a bit.

Ms. Julee is SERIOUSLY the best. She’s very kind, passionate, intelligent, beautiful, and more. She truly does help you with ANYTHING that you tackle her with. She loves coffee and laughing (in fact she is very funny). I couldn’t imagine my life without her. She’s helped me beyond words that I can describe.
