I went there in November of 2024 because I was desperate to get help. They were very helpful with getting me there, checking with me before I got there, and making sure I didn't change my mind about going (as most of us do when It comes to getting sober). I had an awesome time there, the staff was great (they had their off days, as us alcoholics/addicts do). We were busy most all day every day. They take you to the gym 3x a week, they do panels, and outside meetings as well. The facility itself is clean, there's laundry machines, snacks & coffee on deck 24/7, they take you to the vape shop and wal mart once a week, and they are working on more outside activities. There were tvs and DVD players in every unit with a TON of dvds. No bed time so you are free to roam around the facility or chill and watch TV. The groups got a little boring (but if you are with a good group of guys they are a lot of fun and informative). The way insurance and every thing works was a little frustrating because it's on a weekly basis if you stay on the treatment side or go to phase 2. You are allowed your phone 3x a day for a hour each time. The units are awesome, it is an apartment (if you go try to get into the one above the kitchen on the left haha). Mike who is one of the main dudes is an awesome person! I am currently on day 63 and if it weren't for the lighthouse I would most likely be either dead or in the process of drinking myself to death. If you are in need of help, do the hard thing and ask for it. The money, job, or whatever it is that is keeping you from going won't be there much longer if you continue to do what you're doing. I would like to express my gratitude to the Lighthouse and all the staff who had helped me and guided me. I stayed at the Lighthouse for about 90 days and in that timeframe I was able to receive one on one Care meet with a therapist. All my needs were met. Everyone went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation. I am forever grateful for this facility and being there for me at a time when I needed it the most.Thank you, Stephanie and Julie for holding my hands as I walk through those doors!

I have been here all together 202 days at the lighthouse, recently stayed 90 days.. I got nothing but good memories at the lighthouse, the staff is very approachable.. I heard over the years guys in there say that the program here isn't good.. I learned that it's not so much if it's good or bad but what I put into my own program and the lighthouse is a good place to find your real self if you're ready to let go of your own ways.. to honestly surrender.. and be honest with yourself..the lighthouse was my life saver and I knew their light is always on for me to come and feel welcomed each time I relapsed..I had the privilege to have visits from my best friend and family I wanna thank so many staff members for helping me. First of all I went in weighing 170 and left weighing a healthy 199 lbs thanks to my cooks Danny making me fat in a good way , mama B, Jessi, Rita and Christian making my meat perfect. Thank you to the drivers Glen, Rob (Rubano love that nickname), Jos and Wil for good conversations along the drives.. Thank you to client care women Christina and Lisette for getting things of work and medical business taken care of.. thank you to my girls Vanessa and Shannon for helping mentally.. thank you to the leaders of the lighthouse Teresa, Ladonna, Karla.. Jenna & Michelle Jesse. last but not least thank you to my support staff you guys made my stay fly by and had awesome talks when I was happy or mad or irritated thank you Mike, Austin,Eric, Mason, Nicole(detox), Stephanie, Amanda, Jake and Geo .. Best choice I ever made!! Restorations gave me the tools and knowledge I need to stay sober and go back home to live a normal life. Better days is a high care level facility with outstanding staff. The classes are center focused on useful tools to assist you when you are ready to get back on track. This facility is a prime example of care from cleanliness all the way to the ability to give the attention/self care one deserves. The message each facilitator brings to the group session echoes through as it becomes understood with the time you choose to give toward it. Not only was the space inviting but you are gifted with an excellent chef who cares deeply about serving you the highest quality of cuisines. There was no room for error when creating this oasis of an experience. You know you re in the greatest of hands when coming here. I went through there in 1986, and 1987, then, in '88 I completed the program. Barely.I came in a homeless heroin addict, but left clean and with a better outlook.There wasn't much of a program back then except work, church on Wednesday and Sunday and whenever you broke the rules.. counseling.But, it worked for many year.. until the sudden uprising in hard drugs usage and all of the baggage that accompanied.I left there and became an alcohol/drug counselor and case manager.I met Paul Darnley, a fellow ARC graduate and counselor.He was speaking in one of my classes about restructuring the Salvation Army to include more support and stricter guidelines.I was able to go back a few years later as a county worker for a day and was impressed with the changes.I'll tell you something else.. you'll never have better food and lot's of it.I went from a disgusting 165 lbs., to around 220 in four months.I left the kitchen and became a truckers helper and got healthy as heck.On weekends we'd walk to the Cinedome and pay for one movie but go into another one after it was over.. we saw 3 movies in a row one Saturday.. my mind was jelly.I read what another reviewer wrote about the homeless in the area.. there's railroad tracks and open fields and empty lots without much light. Lots of areas without scrutiny.

The building has more than one office to help mentally affected persons. Upstairs is the entry point and Dr. Kalika is amazing. He really listens and really cares. Downstairs is the PACT team which you may qualify for if you've had more than two 51/50s in the last year. This is a more intense therapy schedule and higher monitoring to keep you out of the hospital and jail. Jeuen is a wonderful counselor and uses EMDR to help deal with trauma, which is a highly effective therapy. Dr. Cheung is kind and compassionate and does more than just write scripts.Overall, my experience at this particular OCHA has been much better than the Westminster location years ago. I feel cared for, listened to and like the therapy is actually making a difference in my life.

Had my first surgery done yesterdayAnd what an amazing experience I had. I was very nervous. The nurses are very sweet they kept me company all the time before surgery and after they never left my side. If I needed anything they were always there. The surgery team was amazing they kept telling me jokes and helped me stay relaxed and calm. I m so great full my first surgery was an amazing experience

From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and cared for. Having a private room was a huge plus it gave me the personal space I needed to focus on my recovery while still managing my work and school. The fact that I could use my phone and laptop was incredibly helpful, allowing me to stay connected and on top of everything while receiving the care I needed.The staff were incredible not only professional but genuinely caring. They treated me like a friend, making the whole experience feel much more comfortable. The facility itself is very comfy. Plus, there were plenty of fun outings that kept me active and distracted in the best way possible.If you're looking for a place where you can focus on recovery while still maintaining your responsibilities, I can t recommend this place enough!

I had the privilege of going through detox at this facility. To say this place is awesome is an understatement. They sincerely care about your well being and health. It's a small facility so they can spend more individual time with the residents. They cater three amazing meals a day along with snacks 24/7.
