Littlefield, AZ | Red Hawk Behavioral Health is a drug and alcohol rehab in Littlefield, Arizona. They provide residential addiction treatment and behavioral health care for teenage girls. This treatment program helps adolescent girls with substance abuse, ADHD, oppositional defiance disorder (ODD), depression, anxiety, adoption-related issues, or trauma (PTSD) from | Treatments | The only program that has been successful for our family is Red Hawk Academy (RHA). She has been in three different programs, two of which she was expelled due to her defiance and conduct.
RHA offers a safe and caring environment. The staff listen to us and guide us to making the best decisions for our family and our daughter. RHA offers encouragement and support to our daughter. It is hard to think about where my daughter would be if we did not seek help for her last year.
Words of wisdom, when you call a program or visit a program, pay attention to your gut instinct. Ask for the telephone numbers of parents who have had a daughter in the program. Not all therapeutic boarding schools are bad and abusive. Talk to the head of the school/program and make sure you feel heard and understood by that person. The first time I called Valerie at RHA, I had a really good feeling. She had a positive attitude and answered each and every question I asked. She was not evasive and she was forthright with her responses.
I am truly indebted to RHA...the school has saved my daughter!

I wish to write a review that speaks to parents, grandparents, guardians, any loving individual that is trying to "give a better life or save a life ". I just picked my daughter up from graduating Red Hawk Academy for Girls. Personally, I feel we saved her life. She chose life. At what point she decided on life I do not know. My daughter ended her freshman year in high school with 42 missing assignments and a suspension. Prior to this, she was on the honor role. The decline was drastic. She had given up. She had substance abuse issues, self-harm, outbursts, suicidal behavior, you name it. Our home was not safe, she was not safe. A formal psych eval was performed, multiple therapists, but every 3 days, something big was documented. We could not get through 3 days in our home without some big catastrophe! I began looking at Inpatient RTC programs. Something most parents only threaten, but never follow through. I applied to the first place and was DENIED entry. I was devastated! Because my daughter's history of suicidal behavior they would not take her. So now what!?! They referred me to another program. That place didn't respond to my application. I was then approved to send her to Wilderness. 10 weeks for a sweet price. But only 10 weeks? I was very very tempted but not willing to chance that short term risk. I called a hotline... Told them my story.. Same story I had told 3 other times. They directed me to Val at Red Hawk Academy. I didn't jump at Red Hawk Academy right Away. I was a mother still frightened and in denial by the devastating reality of our situation. I waited longer for even more events to happen at home. I finally made "THE" call to Val for help. I then committed to do the hardest thing I ever did in my life. I had them send their transport team to my home in secret, pick up my daughter and escort her to Red Hawk Academy for what would be just shy of the next year of her life. Guess what that program did for my girl? They saved her life!!! She is thriving. She has learned self-love, self-care, how to be a mentor, a sister. She found that she loves to help other people and hopes to go to college. I mean she WANTS to go to school!!! She genuinely puts the needs of others before herself. I'm not going to just thank one or two people at Red Hawk. Every single person there helped my daughter! They have created a family there that helped my daughter thrive. In my girls own words she said "You forced me to come here and now I'm being forced to leave." As a family we have learned to communicate. I will thank Val for that. My daughter learned to work hard doing hard labor that is almost unheard of in this day in age, Sonny thank you for that. Mel, thank you for the horse therapy!!!! Anita, thank you for making sure she was taken to all her med appointments and going through all the mail. To all the girls, thank you for being her sisters! The first time I visited her, it was apparently clear she felt more at home with you than me. That is a hard pill to swallow for a mom. To all staff thank you! You loved my daughter every second I could not and even when hard and disciplined that was representing what I could not give. It shows in her now. To all prospective parents, you must have trust and faith. Obviously, whatever you're doing is not working. I believe in my heart that I saved my daughter's life. At the very least, I and my husband presented her a chance at a better life. The rest is up to her. Red Hawk Academy exists!!!! Utilize them. They help provide the tools. It's up to your child if they want to succeed or not. Luckily for me, my daughter is choosing life!!! Thank you, Red Hawk!!!!

Long story short but I was first dosing and then ended up switching from the other methadone clinic to here (other one was horrible) let me tell you this place is TOP NOTCH. They actually care about your recovery and will work with you if you are having issues with payments or anything that is holding you back from getting your methadone. The program director is new her name is Lauren and she ROCKS if you have any issues go straight to her and she will listen and get you answers. She is a straight shooter no bs Director and I appreciate that. As long as you’re 100% honest with her she will work with you. In the beginning of my recovery I was sick and not in the best head space and made some poor choices over a spans of 2 days and I was welcomed back with open arms because HONESTY and MAT works!!

Saint George, UT | Forte Strong is a residential treatment program for young men in St. George, Utah. They provide residential mental health treatment and coaching for young adult men aged 18 through 30. Specifically, this program is for men struggling with failure to launch syndrome, avoidant personality, social anxiety disorder, and adjustment disorder. They do not | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I recently left Forte Strong and am currently residing in St. George. I have a great job now and a chance to move up in my company by going to graduate school. Forte Strong was very tough in the beginning and to be completely honest, I actually hated it. I felt like everyone was against me, including the director. I thought they were just trying to make me jump through meaningless hoops. I was tired, depressed, anxious, and had very little self confidence. In a fit of frustration, I vented to one of my housemates the director wasn’t helping and was actually making it worse. The guy said the director’s methods will all make sense in the end. Obviously, at the time, I blew that off as utter nonsense. A month or so later, I was having a lot of anxiety and the director supported me in my time of need in a way that was quite unfamiliar to me at the time. I was shocked. He did care and not only that, he believed in my strength and resilience. My opinions of him changed almost immediately. He became my biggest mentor in the program. I went to him for problems I may have had, how I could have handled this situation differently, how I could have a better relationship with my parents, etc. He was there for me and I was ready to listen. In a matter of 5 and half months, my relationship with one of my parents changed drastically, a feat I thought was near impossible and hopeless when I entered the program. My resilience increased, my self confidence increased because I was doing well at work, and I had more trust in my abilities. Everything was changing for the better. I was going to be fine. I also made countless friends along the way, people that I will still keep in contact with for a while. I have also dealt with challenging people in the program, people who I really didn’t care for and who didn’t really align with my values. The program director mentored me through dealing with difficult people. It was an uphill battle, but it is all about learning. Now, I’m not going to say that this program is for everyone. It definitely is not. There is a stark contrast between the people who actually want to be there and to work on themselves and the people who feel forced by their parents. I was fortunately the former. And as I sit in my new apartment in St. George on a bright Saturday morning, I want to say thank you Brook for all you have done for me.

Honestly, this place surprised me in the best way. I loved Wakanda ! 🫶 She’s my counselor and she really took me under her wing when I walked in all stressed and confused. She’s been one of the biggest reasons I’ve gotten through everything.
Tiffany and Christian? Best techs ever. For real. They helped me with so much, even on days when I wasn’t exactly my cutest or calmest.
And don’t even get me started on the chef… I’m gonna miss that gurls cooking like it was a whole relationship. I might cry when I have to go back to regular food.
Everyone here has been nothing but good people. Armina’s amazing too 💜 I truly felt like every single person was rooting for my recovery and my actual health, not just doing a job.
Thank you all so, so much. I appreciate everything more than I can say. Wishing everyone the same success. Y’all better keep being awesome! 🕺🏻❤️🩹

I used to work at this facility. That being said, I do not owe them anything and seek only to provide the truth. I read a horrible review someone gave this place and was moved to write this because their review was full of lies. The discipline program used here is very unique and hard to understand unless you've been involved with it. The feedback girls give each other is monitored by staff and shut down if it gets malicious in any way. Students are NEVER allowed to physically contact another student in a harmful way.
That being said, turnover with staff is high and the quality of staff is ever changing. There are many good long lasting staff members that would never allow anything close to abuse to occur without firing the employee. Girls are physically restrained if deemed a threat to self or others. The restraint is safe and done in a specific way.

Brighter Path/Sequel: In 2021, the company’s founder, Jay Ripley, diveded and renamed it "Vivant Behavioral Health", and"Brighter Path" in an attempt to save his disgraced business by diverting public and government attention away from Sequel’s reputation for putting profits above the proper care and treatment of children.
in 1999, there was only one facility, but by 2017, Sequel had acquired another 11 facilities and numerous reports had appeared in the media regarding violence, sexual abuse and child abuse, as well as a wrongful death lawsuit.
At its peak,(2018-2020), the company owned and operated more than 40 for-profit behavioral health facilities and programs for adults and children in 20 states and had revenues of $254 million.
But by mid-2021, nearly half of Sequel’s residential treatment and juvenile justice facilities had closed, mainly due to repeated reports of neglect/abuse. The majority of these closures followed the 2020 restraint-related death of 16-year-old Cornelius Frederick at Sequel’s Lakeside Academy in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide. Three Lakeside employees were subsequently charged with felony child abuse and manslaughter. After this, the name “Sequel Youth & Family Services” became associated with child abuse/neglect/death.
Meanwhile, Jay Ripley was attempting to salvage his business. In April 2021, he had already registered Vivant in Delaware and Kentucky. During September 2021, he registered it in Alabama, Arizona, Kansas, and Nevada.
In an effort to obscure the Sequel connection, there is no website or other online presence for Vivant Behavioral Health, thus no easy way for the public to find out which facilities are theirs or how many the company owns.
Webpages for former Sequel facilities, such as Mingus Mountain Academy in Prescott Valley, Arizona, now appear online minus any Sequel (or Vivant) branding.
Former Sequel facilities in Alabama are now branded as “Brighter Path.”
In June 2022, the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice closed Vivant’s Charles Britt Academy in St. Petersburg, following the arrest of two employees on charges of child abuse.

Virgin, UT | Located in the southwestern corner of Utah, in the small town of Virgin, is the Liahona Treatment Center. The residential treatment prog | Treatments Programs Payment Options | When I sent my Godson to Liahona Academy, it was the hardest decision that I ever made. He has recently graduated, and I now know that it was also the best decision that I ever made. He struggled in the beginning, but once he finally understood that I only wanted him to become a better person, he started making changes. He is now ahead in school, has great grades, and an excellent relationship with anyone that he wants to have a relationship with. I can guarantee that if you sent your son here and you give him time to figure it out, he eventually will, and you will never regret your decision. My Godson came out of Liahona academy as a completely transformed man.
He was a child with all kinds of manipulative “techniques”. Now he is a reborn man, a man who is honest and sincere, a man who you can count on to be a positive leader and have a great attitude.
I am grateful for all the staff at Liahona academy, and especially for his therapist Benjamin Haslam, the program director, Richard May, and the case manager, Beverly Carayas.

I was sent to Liahona Academy on September 20, 2019. I graduated on May 7, 2021. This placed changed my life. If I was not sent here, I would be either dead, homeless, or in jail. I was skipping school nearly every day and my grades were terrible. My relationship with my parents was terrible. I was smoking weed almost every day. I dreaded every aspect of my life. Now, I am a year ahead of my regular grade, with a GPA of 3.78. My relationship with my parents is fantastic. I don’t ever want to go back to my old life. I love this new life. I recommend that any parent who is struggling with their teen to send them here. It will be a very hard decision, but I can 100% guarantee that it will be worth it.

Liahona was our last hope and nothing short of a miracle for saving my son’s life. The Liahona approach allows customized care based on timing of each boy’s willingness to embrace the opportunity for real, lasting change. The Owner Clay along with Rich, Bear and Beverly were wonderful to work with! The Liahona Virgin campus team have built an amazing program with a successful track record and long-term results at treating the whole person, not just the symptoms of bad behavior/substance abuse, but dares to dig deeper uncovering root causes of the problems. My son was a complex case as he exhibited erratic and dangerous behavior along with lingering effects of substance abuse which could have ended his life on multiple occasions prior to admittance. The highly-structured environment with set “wake” and “lights-out” times, allows the boys to get into a healthy, balanced and predictable schedule resulting in a solid foundation to become the best versions of themselves and make the most of the program. The well-regulated agenda culminates dependable sleep patterns, individual and group therapy, chores, healthy and consistent meals, with time built-in for exercise, school, homework, faith (of any kind or none at all), personal growth, journaling and reading. Based on progress, working the program and meeting milestones, the boys can earn group outings that may include volunteering a chance to give back to the community, or a fun outing like bowling, hiking or trip to the lake, etc. The staff at the Virgin facility were simply amazing! I can’t thank Rich (Program Director) and Bear (our son’s Therapist) enough for their vision and “lead by example” approach to earn credibility, respect and have such a positive power of influence over the most challenging of behaviors. Bear was very honest that our son was one of the more complex cases he had seen and that he wasn’t sure if Liahona would be the “best fit” for him. Bear was absolutely remarkable in treating my son, from day 1, as a fully 100% capable individual and he saw through the façade of substance psychosis, anger, low self-esteem, manipulative and self-centered behavior. The value of the Liahona program incorporates a loving and supportive environment, patiently allowing each boy to come to their own realization and choose to begin the journey-cycle of initiating progress, resulting in gaining confidence, motivating them to work harder, embracing the courage to face adversity and proving to themselves they are capable of setting goals and exceeding expectations. The Liahona program results in building confidence, fueling motivation for more continued growth and is the recipe for achieving not only success in Liahona but prepares each boy for a successful life outside of Liahona in the real world. My son entered Liahona as a troubled boy and graduated the program as a confident young man, eager to work hard, face adversity, exceed every goal placed in front of him, fully equipped with the knowledge and desire to help others along the way. We couldn’t be more proud and are forever grateful to the incredible staff and program at Liahona for doing God’s work here on earth!

Blending an integrative approach of clinical services, equine t | Treatments Programs Payment Options | My daughter attended this facility through high school until she graduated. All in all a positive experience. She liked it there. Definitely had some issues that required disciplinary action but nothing too harsh. They were a bit understaffed for therapists at the time to the point where the then-director became my daughter's therapist. Aside from that, no real complaints. Would recommend.

My personal experience: I was 16 when I went and I have to admit my behavior was definitely different when I got out. It taught me discipline and respect for myself and others. I learned to make decisions starting from personal responsibility to educational opportunities. I definitely recommend this place.
I fought back the first few weeks and maybe even months but it’s like a wild horse who had trauma, they are eventually going to learn and it’s going to take time.
I recommend! I would go back for the discipline and scheduled order they have.
Thank You Falcon Ridge and its staff!

I went to Falcon as I was struggling with addiction and depression. Although it was tough some moments (as life is) being there was such a healing experience. The staff was so genuine and I made friends I still keep in contact with to this day. I graduated the program and received my diploma with the help of the teachers there. So thankful my parents sent me to Falcon.

But they would have to be... this company is so disorganized it's appalling. I received a DCS report against ME as a direct result of their lack of communications in handling my son's medications. Needless to say, I will be seeking services elsewhere immediately. But yes, the office staff... top notch.

There must be all new staff. My adult daughter has been trying to get her Latuda refilled. She keeps getting the run around....talking with so many different people....she is on her second day without her meds! She has a doctor appointment in July 1. She cannot go that long. NO ONE IS HELPING HER. Plus, the doctor she will be seeing is new. This will make the third doctor she has been assigned to her in two years. Never has she been so badly treated. Update: Lori-Nurse called and she was OUTSTANDING! She listened and solved the problem. SHE was able to get my daughter's meds. SHE even rescheduled my daughter's appointment to an earlier date, June 26. Thank You, Lori! Too bad the rest of the staff and Albertsons Pharmacy did not listen to my daughter!

Have to make a review specifically for building E. The man in charge of doing drug and alcohol screenings for my 4pm appointment today, is PREJUDICE. Before seeing my paperwork, he had ALREADY concluded that I would MOST LIKELY have to take drug and alcohol classes.
This is WRONG and UNETHICAL. Patients should not have to take extra classes because a guy THINKS you need it with no previous facts or relations to said person!

I visited Nestled Recovery Center last week and was really impressed with the personal attention I received. Alex and the team are truly outstanding! They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and felt welcomed throughout my visit. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients and aren’t just waiting for time to pass. The nursing staff were incredibly qualified and professional, which gave me confidence in the level of care provided here.
What really stood out to me was how personal and flexible everything felt. There’s no strict, stingy corporate atmosphere like you might find elsewhere. It feels like a place where individual needs actually matter. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained, and the grounds create a really peaceful environment. I came away feeling like this would be an excellent choice for anyone needing quality care in a supportive setting. Highly recommend taking a tour if you’re considering your options.
