I left this facility as a patient 3 days ago and I wanted to leave a review from the inside. I was in for alcohol detox and I was there for 6 days and admitted myself. It’s time to give praise where praise is due. Staff by name: Nate - RN this was one of the better nurses and he worked the night shift, there were several points when I was at an all-time low, especially at night. Nate took the time to sit down with me and make sure that I was OK every single time. He cares about his job and his patients and it clearly showed. Zack - this gentleman worked in the CSU, he had an incredible personality and he is the gentleman that you would be working with at night if you were doing intake. Me and him had conversation for hours about working out, family, religion. as far as I understood it, he had achieved employee of the month of the month prior and there’s a very big reason. Zack was a massive part of being able to talk to me while my anxiety was so high. This gentleman deserves nothing but praise and probably a raise. Nicole - she was a floor tech that also works nights, she’s a good worker and does what she needs to. She just seems to be very quiet and somewhat antisocial so she was not a good person to talk to however, you could see her work ethic and how she contributed to the facility. Eric or Airwik - again, this is a floor tech. This gentleman deserves nothing but praise. He worked nights and days. He was very easy to talk too, me and him talked about his background for his native descent and we spoke about music. We had good conversation which is what is required for a lot of these patients. Denise - Just awesome, thank you for being a support Kody - this is a daytime floor tech, again sat down with me had excellent conversations and he ended up playing Uno with all of us patients several times over. He had an ability to connect with his patients and make him feel like a familiar friend. Kody deserves some of the highest praise as he gets somewhat intimate with his clients. Andrea - registered nurse, this girl is a powerhouse of a woman. Her and I shared the same religious background and on the day of my release she did nothing but tell me the success that she saw for me. You can also tell that she goes to the gym; shared. She’s high energy and is very on the ball she had a way of sharing her positive energy which shared hope she was a significant part of my discharge her and I spoke for probably 30 minutes before I got discharged. She is intense a little bit loud, but absolutely a wonderful soul. Julie - fantastic human being. Austin - this gentleman is a part of CSU again the intake portion. Him and I spoke the first night for probably two hours when I was first admitted. Again, we spoke about religion general concepts, and Austin is an absolute nerd. He reads books every single day and he has card games and things like that. One thing that stuck out about Austin is that he is extremely intelligent and he would love to talk to you about almost anything. Me and him mostly spoke about God. Bonnie - Bonnie was the cleaning lady over in the CSU unit. I believe she used to be a police officer. She’s a very intimidating woman, but she’s also extremely sweet if you’re just not a jerk. Around when I first got there in the CSU she showed me where the snacks and drinks were treated me like a human being. Dave - this is another gentleman from the CSU, he’s usually quiet at first as he feels you out and what your temperament is but again after he knows that you’re not something that is a threat he’ll open up to you. Another gentleman that is highly intelligent. Lastly Robert - RN my first interaction with Robert was when I needed something from the nurses. When I tried to get his attention, he looked at me and shook his head and then look away from me, which was very dehumanizing. After that when he left the nurses cage, I tried to get his attention and he ignored me three times. This guy is terrible and as far as I understand it, most of the staff doesn’t even like him.

This place changed my life and quite possibly saved it as well. All the nurses were wonderful and in particular Kerry, Nate, Haven, Shavon, Heather, and Zac. The techs were amazing including Richard 1, Jay, Richard 2, Steph, Cody. I'm sure there are others I interacted with that were great as well that I'm forgetting. Both psych NPs were attentive and thorough and really cared! Both social workers Kenzie and Kat are some of the best people on this planet. They brought together the whole plan for me. Everyone on staff truly care about all of us patients and were extremely professional, efficient, and attentive. This place is a staple and much needed on the mountain, they serve our community in amazing ways. Thank you to everyone! Changepoint changed my life and will change yours too!

I finally got to see my husband today. After 2 days. I though his was at a different facility. My husband couldn't remember my phone number to call me so he asked one of the nurses to please check his phone number for my phone number and she did. She didn't have to everyone was so so nice when I first got there so excited to see him. I made him some food. An we ate snack's I brought. I just want to thank everyone to making me feel welcomed. Not one person was judgemental.... THANK U for the people that work in the evening. God bless you and your family's..

During MAT, FDA-approved medications are combined with mental health counseling to address the mental, emotional, and physical aspects of addiction. The counseling portion of the program helps people work through the underlying issues associated with their addiction, while the medication helps people more easily withdraw from addictive substances.
I highly recommend Northern AZ Substance Abuse Services! I just had a MVD assessment done by the owner and Certified Counselor Robert Lovett. He is very upfront, open and honest about everything. He shows his compassion, knowledge and professionalism throughout the entire process. I can not say enough good things about this business. I have been coming to ITS in mesa for almost 2 years and this place has been so important to my sobriety! Every single staff member there has gone ABOVE and beyond to make sure I get the services that I need. When I was having issues with my insurance and thought I couldn't continue treatment, Kanoi reached out and made sure to figure out a way so that I could stay. Tammy is amazing as well, so helpful, kind and keeps this office running smooth and so much more. Monica is so sweet, and genuinely cares about all of the patients that come here..the doctors are all so great and the peer support/counseling staff is so relatable and easy to talk to (especially Celeste, love her!) Not one person here has ever made me feel bad about being in recovery, so uplifting and encouraging I would 10/10 recommend anybody struggling with addiction go here to start their recovery journey!

I have been to one other clinic but by far ITS is so much better. Kanoe the peer support is so extremely helpful, she is so friendly and always reaching out to see if there is anything I need. My daughter is with me each time and I was always nervous she would be exposed to things if I brought her with to the clinic but she LOVES tagging along. Everyone works so hard to make sure you're feeling supported. I found sobriety again because of ITS. Thank you to all of the staff, especially Kanoe, Celeste and Monica for making this experience so positive.

Overall had a great experience here with my birth. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is my first nurse seemed so out of it like she was either having an off day or she was on something. She messed up my IV so bad I was gushing blood everywhere. Another reason was the anesthesiologist who did my epidural, I believe his name was Jim or something. He had a really bad attitude the whole time, acting mad at me for the conditions I was in. I only cried getting it done because of how he was treating me the whole time. The anesthesiologist who took care of me during my c-section though was beyond amazing!!! I was shaking from anxiety and he was comforting me the whole time, even was on top of taking care of me when I threw up afterwards. I think the first guy needs to learn what’s appropriate to say to women who are having severe labor pains and how to treat them. The comments about having terrible back anatomy for my age truly pissed me off.

I recently had an experience at Banner Del E Webb Medical Center, and I am compelled to share what an absolutely exceptional facility it is. I spent 8wks at The Meadows. It was life changing for me. The Survivors week helped me with my childhood traumas and learn how to heal my inner child. I met with my trauma therapist several times after this. Also met with evening and weekend therapists. Family week was intense but worth it. My husband joined me that week. They have a brain center where I got to use a CES device to help my anxiety and panic attacks. Also the Chi Machine. I was able to do the safe and sound protocol daily therapy (SSP) for a week. This is suppose to help get you out of the fight or flight mode. I went to acupuncture therapy and found it helpful for my fibromyalgia pain. There were daily evening mediation therapy and 12 step meetings. I got to learn about codependency and CoDA meetings. I also attended ACA meetings. I learned effective coping skills while there. I would recommend this place to anyone that needs help with mental health issues, addictions, grief and loss, traumas, and just need a reset in life.

Private room and shower, no roommates. Clean facility. Amazing food. Best behavioral health hospital in the valley. Staff is over professional, compassionate, and skilled, with only a few outliers who require some additional training, or reassignment to more appropriate treatment settings where they could better more effectively highlight their individual strengths. If personal cell phone access is a barrier to you seeking treatment, you won’t have access to your phone here — see my review for Haven Behavioral Health Hospital. Main intake nurse is the best in the valley.

I've had two kids go to Anasazi for different reasons but life changing for both of them. A son 4 years ago, and a daughter who completed the program just a few days ago. Anasazi stands above all other wilderness survival programs because of their "walking as we" approach. When my daughter walked "ran away" from her group, the leaders went with her and walked alongside her to support her in her anxiety. No pressure, no conflict, just love and support. She chose to come back to the group and we picked her up 7 weeks later (last weekend) with a resilience in her eyes I've never seen before. If you are questioning your decision to send your child to Anasazi, don't. It's for teens and adults of most every level of struggling. As a mom of 2 young walkers, please feel free to message me through FB anytime. My name is Carrie Burdick Rice. I am an open book and willing to share my experience freely.

The Anasazi way has brought hope to our family. We were struggling to keep our daughter safe before we decided to take her to the Anasazi to walk the trail. The lessons both she and we learned through the journey has helped us turn our hearts to trying to walk together. Things are not perfect, but we are in a much better place thanks to the Anasazi Foundation. I highly recommend them.

Anasazi was instrumental in helping our son. We'd tried many counselors, two different IOP's in combination with different prescriptions but he was only getting worse and more distant, and finding ways to self medicate which was severely effecting his health. We started looking for an inpatient program but found Anasazi. Their unique program of learning with natural consequences helped him find himself again. He learned many valuable lessons from the trail that gave him hope and direction. The trail walkers are amazing, were able to guide him and took good care of him. He met with a counselor once a week out on the trail to talk through things in his life and set future goals. The same counselor then met with us on a later day to keep us informed of his progress and help us with our training as well. As parents we went through valuable training to help foster a loving family relationship so we can continue to support him at home. The program didn't end when he returned home. Training and resources for parents continued so we can continue to be supported in our efforts and get help as we run into challenges or set backs. He also has resources available to him anytime he feels he needs the additional support. I wish programs like Anasazi could be available to anyone who needed it.

What I love the most (can't believe no one's mentioned it) is the multiple kinds of methadone that they offer. You choose the form! From liquid, to 10mg tablets. It's great. I personally am on 10mg tablets at 200mg. It's great and works way better for me than the liquid did! Thanks BAC!

I thank God every day that I found BAC. I have been a client for a long time and I love this place. The staff is very caring and knowledgeable. They have never made me feel out of place or guilty for my past choices. They do what they can to help you, and, all you have to do is ask. If it's something they can do, they will. I love my counselor at BAC, thank you Terri!!! The rest of the staff are terrific as well. I will never go anywhere else.

I have been going here off and on for the past 5 years but this last year after getting pregnant and still struggling with fetanyl they changed my life. They were so supportive and caring and really I don't know where I would be without this place and the staff that work there. I've been to 5 different methadone clinics in my journey struggling with addiction and have never had one anywhere near as good and caring as this one.

I am a former client that was in the network over 10 years. They're a very good clinic. It's easy to get a hold of staff and the majority are supportive. I really loved going here for the groups. It was nice socializing with other clients. I loved this clinic because there were mall walks, art groups, social support groups. At one point they had a really amazing women's group. I loved them because they always offered services to me for art awakenings, star, and counseling. They are better than most other mental health clinics truthfully. They have you and your goals in mind. If you need help,I highly recommend them.
