I have been seeing Heath Lindsey for over 6 months. He have got me blood pressure managed better than any other doctor I have seen. He gave me some bad news (all my doing from years of smoking, don’t smoke!!) after some tests we did. He kept everything positive and I did leave as sad I as I could have.
He takes the time to throughly explains things and you can tell he genuinely cares. He also really good with my daughter who has to come to the appointments with me.
So nice to have such a great small town healthcare provider.

I wish I could rate this place more than 5 stars! Not only do they do their job right but they are really professional here! I've only had a bad experience on my first visit with a therapist but they fixed that right away for me and changed my therapist which I'm glad they did. I am not that type to open up about my feelings but Chrissy was really helpful and made me feel comfortable right away, it made it seem like if I've known her for years so I definitely recommend her. When I was going through my hard times they were always their for me to talk to someone which was really helpful!

As the mother of a client who has been part of Back2Basics for the past 6 months, I can honestly say we could not be more pleased with the program and staff. We heavily researched programs for our son all over the United States and found Back2Basics to be a top program with proven therapies and highly qualified staff/therapists. They are highly respected in the Flagstaff community for their commitment and care. Our son has made huge progress during his time at B2B, more than he has at any other program. I appreciate each and every staff member of Back2Basics. The quality of care and dedication from the residential staff to the therapists has been exceptional. They provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment where a strong support system can be built and coping tools learned for these young men to grow and thrive once out on their own. Our son has dual diagnosis issues and each staff member has worked with him making sure he has the proper support and help based on his individual needs. Back2Basics provides weekly communication updates and has therapy for the families as well which is such an integral part of the journey. They incorporate life skills into the program so that when the young men do transition out of Back2Basics, they have the tools they need to be successful. I've bin with southwest for about 10 years,specifically this location in their MAT program, the change this place has made this last year is major! The new DR. Sean is a major change from the previous DR that was there. Sean understands not everything is black and white and actually listens to you when you tell him like hey this isn't working can we try something else's, on top of actually listening to your concerns about medication he actually cares about your recovery as much as you do, I have not had one DR. Actually try to help when I said I want to be done with MAT meds, the last DR'S would basically set you up for failure so you will have to come back and be stuck. Sean will actually help you and not abandon you through the process of getting off MAT meds.He has helped this place become more hopeful for me. You can tell he cares.... and thats the part that this clinic was missing. Southwest please hold on to this DR close. He is litterly what makes the MAT program a true recovery program.

Rhonda, Rachel, front desk ladies and pretty much everyone else is so awesome here… I really feel like a normal person because of them and that’s because they understand when you aren’t medicated right, or don’t have anyone to talk to… you can have a personality change. More specifically on Rachel though… I’ve been with southwest since I was 18 years old. But no psychiatrist has been as exceptional as her. I’ve managed to get my life together because she was willing to hear me out from this… dark and confusing place I was speaking out from (my body) and she hit the nail on the head with my meds… my life has been forever changed for the BETTER!

After finally getting in and jumping through a few obstacles, I need to completely change my review. Situations happen, and I cannot expect everyone to know everything all the time.
That being said, this place has definitely improved in the eight years since the last time I was in the program. After meeting with the provider and the staff, while keeping in mind that I am a very unique situation, they have all worked extremely hard and been very diligent in helping me get back on their program and established with several things that I desperately need🙏🏼

This is the only psychiatric hospital in the area. They are a great resource for those suffering from acute psyciatric issues that require immediate attention. I know many of the nurses, techs and administrators who work there and they care deeply about the people they serve.

I was a patient at ATMC for 60 days in 2024. In the months prior to my stay there I was battling a serious psychosis, in and out of 4 different behavioral hospitals in a matter of 4 months. The medications and mistreatment were brutal and my family thought I was long gone. My mom found ATMC online and although I was reluctant to go there at first, it truly saved my life.
I had been been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar for 7 years, I had been prescribed heavy doses of antipsychotics, anticonvulsants, and antidepressants throughout my young adult life. It wasn't working for me, my quality of life was at its lowest.
I spent my birthday and Christmas at ATMC, and I've never felt more at home away from home. The staff is genuine, hard-working, knowledgeable, relatable, and above all, they are empathetic. They make sure that everyone feels included, heard, and safe. Instead of treating the symptoms, they find a way to treat the source.
I can proudly say that I've been off any and all psych medications for a full year now. Instead of giving my autonomy up to a doctor or a pill, I finally have it for myself. And I owe the world to my family, friends, and those at ATMC for that.

We were fortunate enough to have three of the young men from U-Turn for Christ come and clear our yard of weeds and then move gravel off the yard to lay down a weed barrier (after the handyman we hired didn't bother to put one down when he spread the 1" gravel). I cannot praise the work they did enough! The yard looks immaculate and could not look any better. The three workers had so much to do and yet they finished in less than 5 hours. Thank you, guys, for all your hard work. I recommend them to all of Payson and you will truly benefit from their professionalism.
