The staff were incredibly compassionate and accommodating to her needs (she is disabled!). They made her feel welcomed, spoke to her with dignity, and got her into treatment right away. Jackie Weber 1 year ago I was first greeted and shown actual care by Vickie. She works at the front desk, and genuinely showed care and compassion when it came to getting my first appointment booked. She helped place me at a time that worked best for me and didn't stop until she was able to. Every time I've gone in, she's been so kind and friendly, always saying hello. Having someone like Vickie at the front desk who actually cares about the people going there is irreplaceable. I was placed with Shellby, who is an amazing and talented therapist. She radiates a safe space and immediately made me feel comfortable. Shellby has never seemed judgemental or demeaning with anything I've brought up, and is so knowledgeable in the things she says. Now that's out of the way I just wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude and just adoration and affection for those individuals who have worked with me and aided me through this journey and I am sad as I no longer am in services as I will not go to anyone else I made that clear upon first working with them after everything else and everyone else they are and were the only place/group I would ever work with again so it does pain me given the circumstances. They became such a invaluable part of my life of course my silly mind seen the services provided as for life , they aided me to where I became expectant and I apologize for that. I miss the opportunity of being able to have such valuable consul I accomplished so much outstanding feats truly I don't think I would have nay I know I would never have accomplished so much if it were not for their support, sad to say I got complacent and forgot things I think we all did. On a random afternoon, I decided I need to get help and these women were extremely busy at their job and they stopped everything they were doing when they saw my face . Nothing lacking. All referrals are handled in a timely manner. I have three specialists downtown, so I rarely ever have to go the Prescott VA, plus we have a decent hospital in Kingman. I do have some accute health care issues, but have always been taken care of well. I will rate the Kingman clinic 5 outta 5. Thanks for all the good work. LEO , who is I believe still in charge of organizing and scheduling everything for the Men in the program. Leo is a TRULY amazing man that has been through it all with substance addiction. I remember he showed us while he lived in LA he was on the News for when he hit rock bottom. But teaching us how to be better Men mentally, physically and emotionally!. He said something I will never forget... He said everyone attempts to quit multiple times. But when you are truly ready is when you have reached total exhaustion. Tired of the every day struggles. Tired of being on the top bunk in jail and having the bright lights from the ceiling blasting in your face. You can't turn those off but instead have to consistently be bothered by them. Leo is the best mentor, counselor, teacher that a program could have. I always had the UP most respect for him and what ALL he brings to that program. My last interaction with him was when we won our last basketball game. Mike Richie was one of the more memorable councilors with his 4:30 a.m. formation call-out in the freezing weather just to tell you how great the weather is in the Bahamas. It's one of the most peaceful and beautiful places I've ever been to. I made a whole lot of great memories and friends up there. And would go back every summer to beat this Vegas heat and for the peace of mind this wonderful place on earth gives you.
