We have adopted four children, all with special needs. Our current home study expires on May 20. Our current agency does not want to renew our study. They feel we are too old (in our 50's) and have enough children. We are saddened by the fact that we only need a renewal to add another child to our family.
Are you familiar with any agencies that would renew our study for us? Help with finalization and AA? Despite our ages? We have passed the background checks and physicals five times now. We have had local media write about us and USA today did a video about our family.
Even if we found our child tomorrow, we would not have time to remain with current study until finalization.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

My mother went to er for pain in knee and back.. and other health related issues. She didn't even get treated for the reason she went in they didn't even do tests or CT scans to see what the problem was . My husband and I recently went to the ER after I fainted. Prior to fainting I had tightness in my chest and was very fatigued. I left with chest pain as reason I was at ER and the doctor wanted to write me a prescription for Pepcid which you can get over the counter I told him. I went to general practitioner who after listening to me did give me referral to cardiologist and an echo stress test. After attending appointments some were surprised I was prescribed Pepcid, questioned if they did a scan/x-ray of my head to check for heart attack/stroke. Since I have found family members have had silent heart attacks. I feel like the ER did not take me seriously. Continuing to move forward and would not go back to ER at Sacred Heart.

I was placed at Rawhide in 1972, for the summer camp program. I came away a changed youth. I returned to my hometown, and the high-school I had attended. It took a lot of work on my part, as well as the Lord's guidance, but I did graduate with my class. I know in the years since I was there, I had stumbled a few times, but the Lord with his grace, continues to bless me.
Jan, John, Bart and Cherrie, saved my life! The way I was headed, I was sure to be in prison before long. I was able to return the life changing help later on in life, by serving on the board of directors for 12 years.

Just need to give a review of the care of an 90 yo elderly friend. He was placed in ICU for a pulmonary infection and other critical issues. Dr Beeman was the internist who managed his care. She was an incredible Dr. Very compassionate, friendly very concerned for him and us. She sat neck to him in the bed and just talked to him. Most Drs are always in such a hurry and she spent that extra few minutes that meant something! It has been about 4 weeks since he’s been discharged and he is still talking about her. Even got choked up today. The nurses, aides, food service, cleaners- everyone we encountered was amazing. Great floor staff!

The nurses at this hospital were absolutely incredible. I spent 8 days here and they had so much compassion and grace caring for me. I was going through some of the scariest and most embarrassing moments of my life and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Doctor Lee was amazing as well. Amanda Patt is the best! I came to her with two issues that needed physical therapy. She easily divided my scheduled appointments to address both problems.
I first arrived for PT after surgery in a wheelchair and large leg brace, then progressed to a walker and finally left using only a cane!
She was very knowledgeable about both issues and carefully explained home exercises for me at each visit.
We will recommend Amanda to anyone who needs PT; in fact, our son has already received therapy from Amanda..
I know my recovery from a major surgery progressed much faster due to the PT I received from Amanda.

This place changed my life.. I’ve been in many treatment centers before in the last few years, but the community and structure here is unlike anywhere else - the staff and recovering addicts that come in and out of here, the building and activities that we get to participate in, are all amazing and beautiful.
