My name is “Ashley Ha”. I just recently graduated from White Sands 9 days ago. Unfortunately, I didn’t leave on the best note, because I originally agreed to leave at a certain time at midnight and decided it was best for me to leave a little earlier due to driving so late in the night. However, I can’t deny that they were the most accommodating and polite staff I have ever met in any treatment. Any issues that arose, they took care of immediately with dignity and grace. They weren’t the happiest with me for wanting to leave a little earlier in the night, as I know there’s a business to be ran, and I went against our agreement. But what I can say is that I’ve never been to such an amazing and soul fulfilling place. Many come to treatment to just dry out and most don’t take the curriculum serious. But I’ve been to a few others, and I’ve never had intense, deep, soul searching curriculum like I had at White Sands. Not only that, they went above and beyond to make sure in the evening and night times that we had fun activities to do after a long day of deep inner work. The head BHT, Shannon especially always made sure we had things to do and always ordered delicious late nights snacks from Publix subs to wings to many more things…as well as Michael (events coordinator) always printed out flyers for all the nights activities, including trick or treating on campus with a really neat haunted house for Halloween. Zach, Trevor, Danny (all head BHT’s during their shifts) were always extremely accommodating to any need that we needed. As far as the rest of the staff, Amanda, my case-manager, was absolutely amazing and once again with anything concern I had, she was right on top of it and I’m so grateful for that. My therapist, Maria…what a beautiful light and soul! I will be forever grateful to the work she did with me there. She helped me dig out repressed childhood traumatic memories that helped heal such deep parts of me that I will never forget her. One of the psych NP’s, Rachel…what a gem!! She is so personable and was able to connect with me and make me feel so comfortable opening up to her. Some of the other therapists and counselors who ran group, a few especially were my favorites; Don ran amazing groups that helped us dig deep; Bradley was my MRT coach/teacher and he helped really challenge and put the curriculum into practice into my life. Joel and Eric were absolutely amazing in their groups as well…as well as my therapist Maria who ran some of them. These groups were not kindergarten bs groups. If you want to come and really heal, I know this place was it for me. Lastly, 99% of the nursing LPN’s at the nurses stations were so accommodating and sweet and compassionate about their work and were so kind to all the patients. The food was always amazing…and if I wasn’t in the mood for one of their home cooked meals, they had an amazing smoothie bar and latte bar to choose from. Last but not least, Neisha (if that’s how you spell it) was my absolutely favorite BHT….. she was the funniest and such a joy to be around…as well as the others. She was my favorite. On my last note, I want to make a personal and public amends to any and all staff members I may have offended with my bougie pre-Madonna attitude at times. I am so sorry and I know I was detoxing half those 3 weeks I was there and was doing my best to work through it. But each and every one of you was amazing…and I truly miss being there. I wish I had stayed 30-36 days rather than the allotted 21 by insurance, because I realize now how special it is there. Hopefully there’s a time soon I can come back and finish what I started. My experience is that the team at WhiteSands truly goes above and beyond for your safety and well-being. I was able to share my faith and not be treated unfairly, which is a big deal for me. I’m currently in school, and they made sure I had the time and support I needed to stay on top of my assignments. They didn’t just treat me like another patient—they genuinely cared and checked in to see how I was doing. The program itself is amazing because it focuses on more than just addiction; it helps heal your mind, body, and spirit. Shout out to the Group 1 Counselors, BHTs, Med Runners, Nurses, and Culinary staff for all they do. The list of people who impacted my life is longer than I ever expected. If you get Sammi as your case worker, consider yourself blessed. She is honest, genuine, and caring. She constantly checked in on me, listened when I was struggling, and offered golden nuggets of wisdom. You can tell she truly loves what she does and believes in the people she helps. I’ll always be grateful for her support and the compassion she showed me. I'm going to miss everyone and wish them all wellness and prosperity. <3

Amanda and Brandy went above and beyond for me! They really saved my life and pointed me in the right direction for after care and for the lifestyle of sobriety!

Great staff, Great counselors if you're seeking help with alcoholism this is the place to go

White sands is a great treatment center. Residential, php and especially the IOP. Patty, asheley,ish,jeff and lacey are the best IOP staff i have ever come across. If it wasn't for them my recovery would be no place. I owe them my life. And if you give yourself a chance and go there, I guarantee if you work with them. They will give your a life worth living.

White Sands is an amazing facility that has saved my life more than once. All of its employees show compassion and are dedicated to the success of your recovery. 10/10 would recommend to any of my friends or family who are in need of help.

Very Understanding place. Dr. Greg was helpful therapist. If considering to attend other Rehabs I recommend this facility. Also "Barbara" on the phone call was very truthful and it was as she said it would be like. So I have been to a lot of rehabs and this was the only one that told complete truth over phone of how it works.

Dr. Hume was wonderful she was extremely supportive of mine and my families needs. She met my families expectations and was very supportive to our treatment team.

For anyone searching for help with treatment, I would highly recommend you think seriously about utilizing this facility. The response whenever we had questions was timely and informative. The staff members really get to know the clients and families and do the best for them. And from Linda Cotten: We feel the staff of therapists is highly motivated to serve the clients and their families and to help reach their goals. The process is ongoing and as one becomes more familiar with the therapists, it gets a lot easier.

TARC has played a key role in our loved one’s recovery journey. From our very first interaction with Christine, we felt warmth, compassion, and clear guidance. Case manager Tony showed consistent care and patience toward our loved one, and Jon led family meetings that were both helpful and informative. Scott’s passion for helping clients, combined with his own experiences, has been truly inspiring. TARC is a safe and caring place for anyone seeking sobriety and recovery. The emphasis on healthy eating and fitness training is a powerful part of the program and will leave a lasting positive impact on each individual. The 3-day Family Weekend is especially meaningful and unique—staff like Sara, Andrew, and Tony provided excellent educational sessions, while the time spent together strengthened family bonds in a deep way. Our loved one has now moved on to a sober-living home in another state for career-related reasons. While we wish he had chosen to stay longer and then continue with TARC’s sober-living program, which we understand is also very strong, we remain deeply grateful for the foundation TARC helped him build. I'm David Moore that went thru the program! It was rough for me at first but the whole experience was amazing. The staff was very caring,loving,understanding and respectful. You get one on one therapy as well as group settings.Thinking of groups I learned so much about myself and made some true friends. Transitions Recovery Program in Miami didn’t just help me get sober it gave me a life beyond my wildest dreams. I walked in lost, broken, and unsure if real change was even possible. What I found was a deeply compassionate and structured environment that not only supported my recovery, but challenged me to grow in ways I never thought I could. The staff is incredible many of them are in recovery themselves, so they get it. They met me where I was without judgment, but also didn’t let me stay stuck in old patterns. The clinical team, the group sessions, the one-on-one therapy, and even the everyday accountability they all played a part in reshaping how I saw myself and the world around me. Transitions literally saved my life. It’s like no other rehab I’ve ever been at before, I’ve been to over 20 different rehabs and this one will definitely be my last lol. The staff here treat you like family and really care about you here. The outings were always so much fun, the groups were great, and I love how it’s a reality based program. 10/10 if you are thinking about coming here do it.
