Here at this rehab, they offer treatment to adults who are struggling with co-occurring and substance abuse disorders. Levels of care include medical detox, residential, partial hospita | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I m writing this as a parent. After researching several residential facilities it became apparent Peaks in Colorado Springs stood out from the others. We were specifically looking for mental health treatment. From start to finish at their facility there was always involvement in what was going on, (with my adult daughter s permission of course). Having caring and knowledgeable people to help through an incredibly hard time was needed and so appreciated. Through different stages of her care there was visitation, phone calls and weekly Zoom type meetings where families of clients could talk together with a therapist about highs, lows or concerns. The hardest thing to do was feeling like you are handing over your loved one at such a vulnerable time and not knowing what s going on. Peaks has so much compassion in knowing that. Thank you to all who went above and beyond. From inquiring to admissions to all the financial stuff to treatment to food.Thank you for your tenderness and kindness.

IT'S A YES. JUST GO.Unfortunately, an issue at home meant my stay ended early - there was a tragic miscommunication amongst staff the day before as well, which they handled with the utmost integrity. It was certainly the only snafu in my experience, and it rightfully belongs in the "sh*t happens" category. Staff had the humility and courage to own the mistake, and that willingness alone was enough to know that I had come to a place full of people who are truly the real deal when it comes to mental health.I left because I had to - not because I wanted to. In fact, I was planning on extending 30 days to complete their PHP, but life called me back home.Make no mistake - were it not for having to leave to handle something horrific back home (I'm from the other side of the country), I would still be there. I woke up this morning aching to go back to the safety, the compassion, the grace, and the mercy of Peaks. The staff are beyond wonderful. They sat with me through the darkest day of my life, and did nothing but love me. I can't describe how supported I felt. I could literally *feel* the empathy of the clinicians, nurses, and medical providers who sat with me and held space through the worst two panic attacks I've ever had.My housemates and I, and especially my roommate, wove a web of support and belonging I had never experienced. (Prior to admission, I literally could not get out of bed or do anything remotely social - I was even finding it hard to leave the house). I had the BEST time being part of a community, which gave me new confidence, and reassurance that I could get back into the game of life.I'm a therapist myself and I would 100% recommend Peaks as a committed, compassionate, caring healing space of the very highest quality. These people have their sh*t together.I have never encountered a place full of people who truly WANT to be there for you. Imagine being asked multiple times per day by staff if there is anything you need to feel supported. Being surrounded by people who know and care whether you've eaten that day, how you slept last night, and whether you need anything else to feel safe was pretty mind-boggling.I would trust Peaks to treat my nearest and dearest with zero hesitation. It will be the only mental health treatment center to which I refer my clients. Thank God for Peaks.Certainly I will forget to name some of the incredible staff, but Faith, Kinnley, Clint, Kara, Holly, Angela, Dr. Nichols, Sasha, JUDY, Cindy, Kyle, Pema, Julia, Chef, Taylor, Tara, Logan (x2), Heather, Eric, Marissa, the various therapists who led group, Bobby, Max in admissions, and Rachel - thank you for giving me a home, and at long last, an accurate mirror. Thank you also for tolerating my dirty blue hair and my massive disco fruit snuggie. I miss everyone already.Although I only got to stay for 10(ish) of the 30 days I had planned, the changes in me are real. I came into Peaks as a 47 year-old adult child, and left as a grown-up.Thank you, Peaks, for turning me back into me. Thank you for restoring my dignity. I will carry a piece of you in my heart always with immense gratitude. There is something spiritual in the particles and energy at this place that truly brought me back to life.

I cannot say enough wonderful words to describe this center. I LOVED every single employee there. Every single one treated me with genuine kindness and compassion. Detox is rough on some people and they never ever made me feel embarrassed or uncomfortable. I stayed for 21 days and was so sad to leave. Mixed emotions. I made many new friends that were also in the program. But the therapists and nurses all have a special place in my heart. Much laughter, many tears (I’m an emotional person) and the feeling of finally finding a safe space where all of the things that I share stay there. My therapist still calls to check on me, love Mariah! My nurse practitioner Savannah, always listened to my questions and needs with such sincerity, I am truly blessed to have met her as well.

When we decided to send my son to Sandstone it was by far the hardest decision of my life. With that said, in our case it was the correct decision. It was a hard experience for both him and us, but he said the staff truly cared for the kids and their recovery. It showed upon his return and we got our son back. It’s been a year since he was sent to Sandstone. It hasn’t always been easy, we have had setbacks, but they have been rare. He is currently in a leadership role in his sobriety group and is doing well in school. He has also been part of several panels about teen substance abuse. I am very proud of where my son is currently, but this journey back started a year ago in Sandstone.

Diversus stands alone as the most awesome mental health and substance abuse treatment in the springs because the staff is friendly and professional, they offer a multitude of services, they have a range of professionals with various levels of licensing (anyone can find the right professional for for them), they take many insurances including Medicaid, they have several facilities around town, and their facilities are clean and well staffed. The staff possess just the right amount of caring about the client and knowledge of the wide variety of mental health, substance abuse, and court ordered education and therapy services they offer for their clients. The staff are absolutely a breath of fresh air to the 4 other places I tried to get services at before i found Diversus. The therapists and professionals of all levels are licensed by the state.I highly recommend Diversus over the other mental health and substance abuse treatment places I've tried. At Diversus you can walk in at some of their locations in Colorado Springs and get an Intake the same-day. My Intake was completed within a couple hours of arriving & started the services I needed the same day.For some services they even have a shuttle that will pick you up and take you home!I have only heard positive feedback from clients I've talked with. Many clients have told me their success using Diversus. I highly recommend going to Diversus first because they are the best at mental health and substance abuse treatment!

Heart to Heart Counseling Center has been a true source of healing and support for me after experiencing betrayal trauma.
From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and understood by the counselors. They provided a safe and compassionate space for me to share openly and without judgment.
What sets Heart to Heart apart (at least for me, based on previous counseling experience) is their holistic approach, addressing the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of healing.
The atmosphere is warm and comforting, and the administrative staff is friendly and organized. Heart to Heart Counseling Center has been a lifeline for me during my healing journey. The clinicians have changed but the drive of all of the ones I have met here since has been the same. As to say, the drive of the place has been the same. I worked more exclusively with the clinicians on my first attempt to start my recovery in 2015 and involvement was spotty in between then and now, but only up to the point when I chose to start recovering. Even then, I was attending other places primarily for treatment, but the problems associated with provisions of this sort of health maintenance runs together for me. I don't hold back on speaking my problem to anyone useful in providing care toward them and so I tend to make the care of them the job of any professional coming close what would typically certify someone in this area, but I only really expect thought from the individuals certified to provide me answers. Ironically, you should really only expect answers from any you are contracted with at such explicitly stated time of the contract, but being as how I have little-no humility I actually EXPECT people to go outside the guidelines as my friend, if nothing else. This is a complex area of study... PEOPLE, and so results are not the same for anybody to the next and therefore it's not a simple job keeping up, however this business, I believe, will never fall behind. They offer primary care now and peer support as well as the standardized outpatient substance abuse treatment and let me say that those additions are a major improvement considering the small allowance for variance in the state guidelines in ability to tailor this type of care aimed at the issues associated with substance abuse treatment and so id have to say that these people, and practically all associated with this type of work within this region do as good a job as can be expected. The truth is, recovery comes down to your own participation within it and is not something you can turn off as walking out the building. Values are of the utmost importance to focus on and so it becomes paramount to follow through with any task as your most recent outspoken developments obligate us to, just as we have claimed the commitment. There is ALWAYS room for exception but only behind solid reason. The most sound reasons tend to come with a decent balance of rationale and logic. Privacy helps us hide our inconsistencies but should never be relied upon for that so self-exposure is best done readily and defense is ok to have (moderately). Seek FIRST to understand and if not fully grasping, don't proceed, keep working and exercising the methods of learning until communication with "people" presents sound understanding and because numerus response it is not only yielded from numerus people, but numerus attempts, expect to find it beneficial to present and represent to the same people as well as others less attached to your goals. It's surprising what you'll find when you are looking, so look for the best in others as you hope for yourself.Yeah, I trust them.

Some staff definitely filled a family like void that I craved for a long time. Idk how things are NOW but when I was there, Y'all tried your best & I could tell. I appreciate every last one of you for molding me into the Mom & Adult I am now! I wasn't the easiest to deal with, actually I was a shithead lol & unfortunately one of the worst kids y'all have dealt with but y'alls patience & care for me never withered. I was here from the old handbook to the new & although some things could have been dealt with better, you guys are dealing with unwell and troubled kids from all backgrounds (Behavioral, Se*ual, Abuse in all ways) and some of you have gone above and beyond for us.I hope y'all can help other kids as you did me!

I absolutely love Southern Peaks, I have been in and out of the system as a juvenile and have never seen anyone try and help youth the way Southern Peaks does.

My nephew has been at Southern Peaks for almost 6 months and is doing well. The staff really seem to care about the kids and are kind and forgiving. My family and I are eternally grateful for the care my nephew has received. He is a very emotionally and physically demanding kiddo, and the staff are able and willing to help him in any way possible.

I have been attending the Friday night support group at A Good Life Counseling since March of 2013. The care team of Eric, Angie, Shaelyn and Balvina have been tremendously instrumental in my recovery from addiction
to alcohol for over 8 years now. I highly recommend their program for recovery from addiction and mental health support. They genuinely care for the clients and will always go above and beyond what is asked of them.
