You won’t find a recovery program more diverse or more welcoming than Sojourners of Lake Mary. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like family—not just a client. They are truly multi-faceted in their approach, addressing everything from the heart to the mind, and from physiology to psychology, while also supporting the importance of family and real-life connection. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all program—it’s a place that understands the whole person and meets you where you are. They are simply the best. Don’t wait—you are worth it.

My life was spiraling downhill and I had no useful coping skills when I walked into Sunrise Detox scared and hopeless over a year ago. All the nurses and techs were attentive, compassionate and made the detox process as comfortable as possible. The transition to Evolve Recovery was seamless and the best decision for me. The group therapy was well facilitated and dealt with issues relative to today’s environment. The individual sessions with my counselor Michelle were paramount to my success. Michelle never made me feel rushed. She was invested in my recovery. She involved my family in my treatment which was critical to saving my marriage. She assessed my situation and made the most appropriate discharge recommendations. Evolve showed me the needs and skills to navigate life without alcohol. That coupled with them bringing in nightly outside recovery speakers inspired hope that I can do this. I am forever grateful to Sunrise/Evolve for being the start to my recovery. I am over a year sober now, active daily in my recovery and it is all thanks to this facility and the amazing staff they have.

February 11th of this; God dropped me in the lobby of Sunrise. Welcomed by an amazing tech with a huge smile, who said, “You ready?” Little did I know, that moment of surrender would have been the key to growing into the man I am today. For 17 years I had all the answers; my inability to admit I was wrong, led me down so many paths of destruction. Through the love from all the staff, in particular Michelle, my wonderful counselor sat across from me in group and said; “No!” In my mind, I was planning my next self sabotage move to run back to what I knew. I accepted the opportunity to move down south for a thirty day PHP program. Setting small appointments throughout my recovery has allowed me to now call PSL my new home. Accepting help, taking the suggestions, sponsoring other men, and admitting on a daily basis; God show me your will for my life, has brought me so much peace. Thank you to everyone at Sunrise, for loving me where I was, putting up with my never ending requests, and helping me see my value. I love you all!! If you’re thinking about pursuing treatment; this is one small flash of a second in your life. Take the risk!

When I review a business, I'm of the belief no one is a 5 star and no one is a one star. I have been upset so much I felt like a one, but sanner heads prevailed. 🙂 I was only there for 8 days to detox. If you want to stay for approximately a month. You could do worse. I would have to say the staff is the best part. I had no issues getting anything. The facility is HUGE! They have a nice place to jog or walk. Decent size, clean pool, ample work out area. AA and NA meetings most evenings. In Detox you have a TV in every room. A couple criticisms. The smoking area is a tiny lil afterthought of an area, and you have to wait for certain times to smoke. As you may know there is not a bunch to do in detox, it would be nice to smoke at anytime. Food was great! Be careful, you may get fat. Hope this helped! Oh, one other thing. A small group of workers that seem to get forgotten, Housekeeping crew! They came through every single day and cleaned like they care. Showers were clean and sanitary, floors swept, windows and tables all good!

I went from new seasons to this clinic, I was at 40 mg from new seasons- I was over sedated at 40 mg so they brought me down to 35 than to 30 and I was still over sedated at 30. So new seasons brought me down to 20mg. I was good at 20mg- I wanted to taper down though. I tapered down at 1mg a day. I was on methadone for a month and a week or two. I was going to dose for the last time- this memorial weekend that past we're my last 3 doses for 3mg,2mg and 1mg. I didn't know that I could get prescribed comfort meds by Jim or I would of done it before the weekend because it was a long weekend. I went into the clinic and cried to Christina than told her I was struggling. She got me prescribed comfort meds that day and so did jim. I got most of the comfort meds filled except one because the pharmacy wanted to speak with Jim first. I went into the office the next day to tell jim and he handled it right away. I went into dosing voluntarily but I was admitted to do IOP. IOP, counseling and the dosing has helped me so much- the dosing is more affordable at aspire as well. The comfort meds have really helped me- if you work the program it'll work. I got good sleep through the night and definitely feel better.

If you can endure the lengthy intake process, everything else is quick and efficient. All the staff, from the front desk to providers were on point, and informative. Yes there are some delays from time to time just from over crowding or should I say a lot of clients all at once. Worth a shot if your trying to change your life and get clean. This place was an absolute God-send and saved my life. From the very start the place with its great employees at every part of the facility were compassionate and caring and made sure that my needs were met. My initial therapist Ashlee was absolutely amazing and helped me through major life crises that were occurring at the moment between my Mental Illnesses and Alcoholism. During this time I was able to reconnect with my loving parents and become a contributing member to the family as its only child. During the outpatient process, IOP Therapy I met with Dylan Martin And Martin Hawk - Both of these extremely qualified therapists worked out some very complex issues that still remained inside of me and the outpatient setting of being at home with my parents helped solidify our family and teach them about my Mental Illnesses and Alcoholism. I highly recommend any level of care from ORC Recovery to anyone that is dealing with ANY sort of crisis at the moment - don't sit in the dark with problems, make sure to seek help and help will find you. Thank you very much ORC. May you continue to serve the Orlando Area with Honor and Dignity.

The IOP program here is amazing, would highly recommend it to anyone continuing on in their recovery journey. Lyma is an awesome therapist, in the group setting and in one on one sessions. Amy is a really helpful case manager and will answer any questions you may have and point you in the right direction of resources to help you. The men’s sober living on Concord Street is a really nice, supportive environment that’s conveniently located a two minute walk away from daily AA meetings. The house is run by Patrick and Glenda and they make sure you are well taken care of, make you aware of any and all resources available to help you get back on your feet, and really care about your success in your recovery.

Teen Challenge truly changed my life. I am a graduate of the program, and through it I gave my life to Jesus Christ. What I experienced there was far more than rehabilitation—it was total transformation. God used Teen Challenge as the vessel to restore my heart, renew my mind, and rebuild my future. Because of this program, my family has been restored, my purpose has been made clear, and I am living a life I never thought was possible. The staff genuinely care, the structure brings healing, and the faith-based foundation points you to lasting freedom, not just temporary change. I just left Heroes’ Mile about 2 weeks ago. When I first arrived, I had no idea what to expect. I was a total wreck and knew I needed help. It didn’t take long for me to get comfortable within the facility. It has a very homely sense to it. It’s not your polished tile, institutional environment at all. Very welcoming. In regards to the staff, where to start? Everyone there is incredible. I owe my life to the professionals that keep the gears oiled in that machine. Crystal, the director, she is full of positive energy and will take time out of her schedule to talk to you if you ever need her for anything. The therapists there are amazing and the food is great. I gained some weight there. Should have used the gym more. Haha. There is a lot of places to hang out in your free time. And one feature not mentioned by Google is the animals! Peafowl, Sand Hill Cranes that will hang out around you, a pond FULL of Blue Fin Tilapia, a little gator that suns in the evening. There is so much I could go on about. I would have to list so many names. Please, if you are reading my review and you are scared or unsure of how to make this move in your life, call Heroes. If they can’t help for some reason, they WILL find something for you. They care. I won’t live long enough to ever have the time to repay all the good they did for me.

I was referred to Pamela a couple of weeks after my wife of 33 years passed away unexpectedly in January of this year. Pamela was a Godsend. She was vital in helping me to navigate the grieving process by going through-not around or avoiding it. While i will always love and miss my wife, Pamela has helped me to start to live my life again. My journey of grief will be with me for the rest of my life, I do have a life and owe it to myself and those i care about to live it. When I first began my journey with her, I was struggling with deep trauma from loss and grief, as well as the complexities of addiction. I felt lost and overwhelmed, unsure of how to move forward. From our very first session, Pamela created a safe and nurturing environment that allowed me to explore my feelings and experiences without judgment. Her compassionate approach and deep understanding of human emotions helped me confront painful memories and begin to heal. With her expert guidance, I learned to let go of the burdens of my past and develop healthier coping mechanisms. Pamela equipped me with tools and insights that transformed my perspective on life and pain. She taught me that it's possible to rebuild and move forward, no matter how heavy the past may feel. Thanks to her support, I have emerged as a completely different person—stronger, more resilient, and ready to embrace life. I’m thrilled to share that I have started a new chapter with a loving partner and am in the process of building a new home. I truly feel like I am putting my life back together, and I owe a significant part of this transformation to Pamela. If you are navigating your own pain and suffering, I wholeheartedly recommend Pamela Hand. Her wisdom, empathy, and dedication to her clients are unparalleled. She has the power to help you find the light at the end of the tunnel and guide you toward a fulfilling life. Thank you, Pamela, for everything you have done for me!

Dr Khris takes her job very serious. She is very caring and very attentive to any issues or problems I’ve had. I’d truly recommend anyone that needs any of their medical questions answered. Thanks to her guidance and help it’s made my recovery journey a lot easier and smoother. Also wanna mention my counselor Miss Marvlyn that’s been tremendously helpful And give a shoutout to Miss Veronica for guiding me through how everything works here at New Season. Also the groups lead by Miss Lolita have been extremely helpful as well. Truly grateful to have found the best Treatment Center around the area that truly cares about their patients rather than just getting them in and out.

SOBERING REALITY: CORRECTING MY 1 STAR RATING. THANK YOU TO STEVEN, RON, THE NURSING STAFF &, MY NEW COUNSELOR WHO ENDURE THE GRUNTS AND GRONES OF UNGRATEFUL ADDICTS DAILY TO TRY TO PROVIDE LIGHT FOR THE ONES TRULY SEEKING CHANGE. Understanding the System After a Real Crisis The Frustration: I initially came here ranting and left a 1-star review over Dr. Bircham's policies. A new rule forced anyone missing a pickup to single-dose, punishing patients with jobs and families rather than those failing UAs. Worse, it was announced only via a random Engage app alert—no signs, no calls, no counselor notifications. I was furious and even involved legal counsel to review proper notification protocols. It felt like a dictatorship with an absent director. The Crisis: Then life happened. On Wednesday, February 11, I woke at 11:45 AM to a call that my mother in California had suffered a stroke. As I scrambled to reach family, I got a call from New Seasons reminding me of my pickup appointment the next day. That reminder hit hard: going to California meant missing my pickup and being without the medicine that has been central to my sobriety for over three years. The emotions that followed are ones only an addict could truly understand. But I was determined—my addiction would NOT cause me to fail my family. I booked a flight, jumped in my car, and drove straight to New Seasons before they closed. The Response: I found my counselor and then waited for Steven to finish his meeting. The moment I explained my situation, Steven didn't hesitate. He laid out exactly what needed to be done and started working on a solution. As he did, I realized he wasn't just helping me—he was showing a new employee how these situations should be handled. He found a clinic in California, let me complete every form he legally could, and gave me the confidence to focus on my mother, knowing my own medical situation was in capable hands. Everything went according to plan. When I returned home, I resumed treatment seamlessly. The Reflection: About a week later, I got a callback. While there, I asked Steven if I could schedule my quarterly during my next visit since I only take off work once a month. He explained that wasn't possible—company rules required it sooner. I agreed and left. Driving home, I realized something important: his insistence didn't bother me. Not even a little. Because over the past six months, Steven, Ron, and the nurses have consistently gone above and beyond to help me maintain sobriety. It finally dawned on me. What I had seen as Dr. Bircham's "dictatorship" was actually the necessary separation between administration and day-to-day operators. The rigid rules keep New Seasons compliant with federal regulations. They create a structure that prevents addicts—who by nature can be manipulative and use emotional situations to get their way—from exploiting compassion. That structure allowed Steven the flexibility to move heaven and earth for me during a genuine crisis, while also holding me accountable when it came to routine requirements. The administration handles compliance; the clinical staff handles compassion. Both are necessary. Ron and Steven are magnificent not because the system is perfect, but because they navigate its imperfections daily to give people like me a real chance at the miracle of sobriety. My final rating reflects this balance: the bureaucracy earns its frustrations, but the warriors on the front lines earn my deepest gratitude. Let me tell you how much your appreciated. Lonnie Lake

I didn’t understand the gravity of what brought me to La Amistad. I didn’t want to live in this world anymore. I didn’t want to be here. Today, I’m not 100% healed but I’ve made so much progress since getting out of treatment almost two years ago. Corey always told me the this was life or death and I didn’t really believe it until my last time in residential. So today I’m grateful. I’m grateful for the staff at La Amistad. For Corey, who never gave up on me even when I had given up on myself. For Becca, who sat with me even during her busy shifts to get me through the hard nights. For Dani, who taught me how to advocate for myself. For Miss Sharon, who pushed me farther than I thought I could ever go. For Alyssa, creating a group that really pushed me to stay well. I’d recommend this place to anyone considering residential, PHP, or IOP.

I stayed at the adult campus at La Amistad and I had a great experience. The groups done by Lindsey, Vee, and Dominique were amazing, informative, and helpful for recovery. Everyone who is a part of the staff was so caring and always tended to our needs especially Tara (my therapist), Sharon, Becca, and Philip. I want to give thanks to Julie and Toni who were always such sweet med staff. I always felt safe, the food was really good thanks to Ms. T and Daron, and I enjoyed my time there. I would recommend anyone who is need of a mental health residential treatment facility because going there was truly life changing and I know they would definitely be taken care of!!!

The people at La Amistad don't only exemplify the highest standard in behavioral health services but they have a compassionate result based approach to helping people like myself navigate the toughest of life's ups and downs from the group therapy settings that are judgement free and led by passionate councilors who practice what they are preaching. I have had the pleasure of getting help with my own dual diagnosis mental health issues resulting in the ability to become the best version of my self. Cory is one of the most approachable and compassionate people I've met and has helped me with everything from discovering my own potential, breath work practices that alleviate anxiety and how to let go of the traumas of childhood and adult struggles. Becca is a passionate caring person who wants the best results for every patient she works with and often goes above and beyond expectations and is a breath of fresh air after having less than ideal interactions and results at similarly behavioral health practices. thank you so very much for helping me along my journey to recovery I am eternally grateful. This treatment center above all is absolutely amazing. If you need help with opioid addiction and have this rope hold you down this is where you need to be. The nurses, counseling staff all that work here and we can’t forget Miss Emma are all amazing. This facility is well run and have many different programs and except many different forms of insurance they will do whatever it takes to help. The facility and surrounding area is very clean and monitored. So if you want to start down a new path and be free of the nonsense, looking over your shoulder, and all that comes with it. THIS IS WHERE IT STARTS. Stop in see for yourself ask for Miss Emma.

UPDATE—— So although I had a hiccup here, after speaking to the Director I honestly feel much better! I now find myself considering that my perception of someone’s attitude doesn’t necessarily mean that’s how they feel towards me. So I’m going to give that person the benefit of the doubt, because we all deserve second chances, and after speaking to the Director , I see that he is willing to talk about any issues that I, as a Patient, am having and strives to ensure that “we” (as Patients) can go to a safe and healthy treatment center where we feel accepted and cared for during our time here. The Counselors here are BOMB! Especially Mauricio and Peaches! Ms Emma is so sweet and from day one has always looked out for me. ALL of The Nurses are always polite and make it a pt to ask about how I and/or my family is doing! Thank you Director, for caring for me during this time and be willing to clear up any issues or misunderstandings that may be had. This place isn’t a generic methadone clinic, they actually care about there Patients!

I’ve been seeing Eliana Marc at LifeStance for about eight to nine months, starting with weekly sessions and gradually moving to bi‑weekly and now monthly. Throughout that time, Eliana has been an exceptional counselor, patient, understanding, and genuinely committed to helping me grow. She listens carefully, offers thoughtful guidance, and has made a meaningful difference in my life. LifeStance as a company has also been great. They treat you with respect, make scheduling easy, and create a comfortable environment for therapy. I highly recommend both Lifestance and Eliana Marc to anyone seeking supportive, effective mental health care.
