Jason has been doing marriage counseling For my wife and I I really like how he listens. I like how if I need to look at something in my life he points it right out no hesitation so that I can see and talk about it and also with my wife he is able to tell her in a gentle way that she needs to work on something. Maybe not in those words but excellent Counselor. We both appreciate him very much. He’s helping our marriage when we first started coming to him. We were doing very bad and now we are working things out better and better every week. Thank you again, Jason.

This review is strictly of Jason Darell with Lake Mary Counseling. My wife and I saw Jason a few times at the Lake Mary location. On our second visit, he suggested that my wife and I have an open marriage. I knew right there and then a real counselor would never make those suggestions to a married couple experiencing marital problems. My wife insisted we go back a third time despite my having some serious reservations. And sure enough, on our third and last visit, I could not make this up, Jason addresses my wife and asks her what she thinks she is teaching our daughter by working harder and making money than a man, me, while I am sitting 4 feet away from her on the opposite side of the couch. Surreal. Jason is a brand new therapist with no or little experience, awareness, and empathy who likes to pass judgments on others. I don’t think Jason is in no way, shape, or form qualified to be help people and may just be in the wrong line of work. Last but not least, I am left to wonder how many other couples like us he may have given the same advice to and whose marriage outcome he potentially has affected negatively because of the very same poor advice and opinions he dispensed to them.

Im so sorry to hear that. No you were not looking for an open marriage when you came in. Im sorry things were said that made you feel unheard and judged. The goal is always empathy and emotional support. I will let him know and encourage him to be more mindful of what he says and how it can be interpreted. Please consider seeing another therapist with us. I appreciate the feedback! Thank you!

Honestly, no complaints here. Jason is extremely compassionate and empathetic. Really good at getting to the crux of an issue and creating a safe space for expressing oneself as honestly as possible.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
