One of the best rehabs I have been too. I have been to. Therapist Maria is amazing. There is always more than 1 group to choose from and information is broken down in interactive and easy to understand way. Groups are led by very knowledgeable therapist. Staff and nurses amazing as well! Director does not hide behind a door. Beds are comfy, tvs in room , gym and pool. Food isn't bad. They meet you were you are but dont leave u there.

White Sands saved my life in February and continues to do so to this day. If you are looking for help and are finally willing to reach out, there is no better option than White Sands. The staff at White Sands, many of whom are serving others as a way to they themselves stay clean, are absolutely amazing. Their desire is to pick you up, dust you off, and watch you grow. From the moment you arrive at inpatient they do their best to get you in and comfortable. Each day gets easier and there is not one person who couldn't benefit from their MRT program. In outpatient the IOP program and individual counseling teaches and strengthens you by offering a different way to live. The counselors truly care and want to see you succeed. It isn't easy to ask for help and it isn't a sign of weakness. If you're willing to admit you need help, White Sands is the place to turn to.

I absolutely love sophros!! I just moved to Flordia in June 2025. Fresh out of rehab from Pennsylvania. I struggled for 2 months before I got Insurance. Uneducated, craving and not myself. I Googled outpatient recovery centers and first popped up Sophros recovery. I called immediately and set up a appointment. I was accepted right away. I was shy at first and didn't participate in groups. But, I warmed up and I've learned so many great skills that I use daily. Last year 2024 I was hurt by a close family member and was awaiting trial. My therapist and the team helped me be able to open up and tell my story. While gone for a week I had so much support from the team and I did it! My therapist Rajon tells me "I can do hard things" and I did and continue to do so. Andrew helped me realize that sitting in the hurt is the best way to get through it. He also helped me get a wonderful job and establish a community. This facility is amazing! The groups, therapist, and all the staff are wonderful each with their own skills and techniques. It works if you work it. So do the hard things and you will come out successful. Thank you sophros for all the skills, support and understanding. I will forever be grateful for everything you taught me.

Sophros Recovery has been an incredible place for healing and growth. The environment is supportive, professional, and truly focused on helping people rebuild their lives. My aunt has been a patient here for almost 2 weeks. She has been provided excellent care here by the entire clinical, rehab and administrative team. The nurses and CNA's have provided the care and compassion well above our familiy's expectation. We are shocked at how much she has thrived at this facility. She says she hasn't felt this good in a long time. She absolutely loves the food and has even put on some much needed weight. Laura, my therapist was awesome. She was very patient with me, I asked so many questions. She helped me to understand my problems and gave me tools for the future. She prepared me for a successful recovery. I've never tried yoga before but I took those classes and I learned how to stretch. I have a handicap with my hip and it really helped me with my pain and flexibility. I highly recommend coalition.

During my stay at Clean, I found that my life is worth fighting for. The staff really cares enough to allow me to be me and to find myself right where I'm at and not lost somewhere in my past using drugs and drinking alcohol. The staff has bent over backwards in caring for me if it were not for: taking me to meetings, giving me much needed medicine, holding very intelligent and intense individual and group discussions and therapy. I also suffer from PTSD and Clean provides special trauma sessions in treatment for something I have struggled with since being in prison for 7 yrs. If it weren't for Clean Recovery Centers I would be on the street homeless and probably using drugs. Thank you so much for this opportunity to change my life around. William Paul

I’m not a patient, I bring family members here, so this is a caregiver’s perspective. Both patients I bring express that they’ve connected well with their therapist and Dr. They are benefiting from services, which are offered on a sliding scale for those without insurance. May be $0 for people with no income and no insurance. I’m grateful these services are available in our community!! If I ever need to, I will go here. And Heather, (front office) you are always so kind and so helpful. We appreciate you so much!

I want to thank North Tampa Behavioral Health. The facility looks modern and clean and the staff was engaging, kind and nice people. This is the best mental health facility in the entire central western region of the state. As an American I get free top quality health insurance called Medicare A, B & D. The intake staff was very cheerful and engaging and attentive to the patients inside the secure facility. I got my new medicine for behavioral health and I couldn't be more happier with the results. My mood totally changed inside the facility from being completely sour to roaring with joy and comfort and remaining that way throughout my recent mental health journey. I'm usually very happy for about 90% of the time. I preoccupy myself with fun activities like bicycling and basketball but there are certain times that I fall into a hole of anxiety, depression and self doubt around 10% of the time overall but the new medication helps me to balance my mood and I physically feel better after taking my medication. If I ever have another mental health meltdown again I will go directly to this facility for proper healthcare and wellbeing updates. Don't be afraid to ask for help when it comes to mental health. Your mental health is important and you should evaluate yourself honestly and outwardly if ever or whenever you're in doubt ask for help before making a final decision that could end your life prematurely. I hope this helps someone who is in need of mental health. Speak outwardly about mental health don't be ashamed. Many people, millions of people remain undiagnosed in positions of grand stature and low stature. Seek help if you need it please. Try your best to look forward towards something new & uncomfortable. At first I have to say, I would not have given them any stars BUT I went in high and by day 2 felt pretty bad already. I walked in on my own accord and on day 3 almost walked out. Thanks to a few of the employees there I did not. They talked me through the worst of the times I had in there and that alone is why I am sitting here typing this review. They literally saved my life. Anyone who is reading this I just want to say something that I hope the right people hear....there is nothing easy about getting clean or staying clean. But there is also nothing easy about staying high. It is possible to live again after addiction. But no one can be forced into it. They have to be ready. At their ropes end so to speak...emotionally, financially, physically what ever the case it has to be their choice. Someone who is not an addict cant tell an addict what they need to do and how they should just stop. That would be like telling someone not on drugs to stop breathing. I know anyone who has never been there and is reading this is thinking that I am a moron, and well maybe but I am a CLEAN moron. 75 days today. I am a great father again and a great husband, son, brother, uncle, friend and I AM ALIVE for the first time in many years. So please to the parents with an addict for a child, or a spouse with a husband or wife that has an addiction or a best friend....Please go easy on who ever it is that you are trying to help. Have compassion and love in your heart. Try to be understanding even if your angry at them and you are most certainly angry at them but your angry because you love them and you are worried about them. Try to remember that every time to want to offer them help. Because I will tell you the Gods honest truth, a true addict and this is coming from someone who was putting 500 dollars a day of Fentanyl in his arm (the most powerful opiate for human consumption) but a honest to God true addict doesn't want to be. They are in a very very lonely place. They feel like they are in this world all alone. Like being on some deserted island with no happiness at all not even from the drug. More guilt than you can even begin to imagine from all the lies, and the stealing money and losing everything or selling everything they have ever owned. Trust me when I say they know where they stand in the eyes of the world. So its up to you as their loved ones to give them them the confidence and strength and support that they need to make the right decision and its up to them to make it. I do apologize for the long review but if only one person gets something helpful out of what I wrote here today then I feel like Im helping. So the original post........how do I rate the detox unit in Bartow (AKA The Mary Lyons Center) well, 5 stars. Yes its state funded and the bottom of the barrel but you are not there on vacation, your there to go through 5 days of hell to get your life back. Honestly I would imagine that it would not matter where you are when you begin to get severely dope sick. There is no meds to help with the withdrawls other than clonidine and for an addict thats like eating skittles. But the worse it feels and the more it hurts the longer your going to remember what you went through and hopefully you wont want to put yourself through it again. And PS all free detox facilities are going to suck to some extreme. Thank you to everyone at The Mary Lyons detox unit for everything. I honestly owe my life to you. Oh everyone but Marlena. She caused me more problems than she even realizes. And if your reading this Marlena.....I'm still clean and doing better than I ever have so what you told my wife on the phone was just simple ignorance. Anyone whos thinking about getting clean...dont think about it just walk in and do it. Its so worth it. God Bless and I wish you all the best

I only have one complaint but I won’t remove a star because the actual office location is so good*, the call center is absolute GARBAGE!! Never have I ever dealt with such people. They want so much personal information just to transfer your call to the winter haven location. I don’t like repeating my personal information over the phone because digital fraud is a growing problem. Things would be TONS better if behavioral health could get their own direct line. It seems at this rate they will probably want your blood type just to transfer a call 😩😮‍💨. It will definitely test the Christ in you to deal with jumping through their hoops. Outside of that, overall great place!

After five years of therapy, I have successfully completed treatment and discharged — something I once wasn’t sure would ever be possible. This facility is well-organized and has a lot more services than the old Clinic so we don't have to go to the VA hospital in Tampa for certain things like an a CT scan, the eye doctors are here and more.

I was recently a patient at this facility, and despite the difficult circumstances, I left feeling genuinely cared for by some truly exceptional staff members. Bobbie (nurse) stood out the most. She brought warmth and humanity to what could have been a cold, frightening experience. She talked with us, listened, and even taught me practical tools for redirecting attention away from trauma. Her kindness made a real difference. Kelly (nurse) also deserves recognition. When other staff declined to explain medications in detail, Kelly took the time to answer all my questions patiently and thoroughly. I also witnessed her gently helping another patient untangle and fix her hair when that patient didn’t have the energy to do it herself. That small act of compassion said everything about who she is. Thank you Bobbie and Kelly for reminding patients that they are seen and valued. You made a hard time a little easier.

I think i wrote my review under the wrong hospital but everyone was awesome for the most part. My name is Cameron Atwood and im still taking my medicine by some miracle. I went into this facility so psychotic i didnt know up from down. I had real people help me see the real lies i was telling myself. I thought everybody was the enemy and somehow people like Stephanie (The Goat) and even those who didnt believe what i believed like Peter broke through to me. The chapman there are amazing and i cant complement the Techs more doing gods work. I was nursed back to a stable point not from medicine but from the grace and compassion of the nurses and most of the techs! People like ASH, Sydney, Shy, and Patrick made me feel safe and comfortable in a foreign place. I cannot thank this facility enough and pray everyone gets the grace and compassion they showed me back in 10 fold. I can literally type for hours about how they helped me but my fingers might get tired. Oh and Richard and Gavin got me to trust medicine which im still having a hard time with but without this entire team i believe id still be unstable to this day. Again just to mention Nurse Stephanie is probably the nicest person I've ever met and the first person i fully trusted in Lutz. What I'm trying to say is the People working nursed me back to health not any medicine even though i will admit the drugs helped. Thank you guys for your kindness
