2023 is gone! And now I can go into 2024 with a new attitude and a new life mostly thankful for Perspectives 2. I made some dumb decisions last year that I ended up paying the price for. I consider myself smart and well educated but when alcohol does your thinking its a games changer. I ended up in jail with a DUI and court ordered treatment. The blessing in disguise was the court ordered treatement. I went 12 weeks to group thearpy at Perspectives. I was reluctant and not excited about going until I got there. All of us were in the same boat....nervous, shamed, scared about facing the consequences of our poor decisions. Perspectives group sessions were awesome and extremely helpful. They gave you practical suggestions to help with your addictions and how to deal with the pain you caused others and yourself. The staff that ran these sessions were incredible mainly because they truly cared! It was not a job to them but they had compassion for what your were going through in fact most of them faced similiar situations. I "had" to go to these treatments but would easily have volunterred to go after seeing what they had to offer. Great discussions with a staff that emplified compassion to every one in the class. When you know you messed up and are already down on yourself it is comforting to know folks at Perspectives 2 was there to listen, suggest and most of all show they really cared about your well being and getting you on the right track. They continue to follow up with me a year later! Jamie is awesome in her care and concern....Kudos to her and her staff. Thank you Perspectives 2 for showing honest concern and compassion!

This place is wonderful, they were treating pregnant woman back 2015 when myself an others felt we had no hope, NO ONE would touch us. They live & breathe recovery. They're local to the area, An yes a smaller office but don't lack in the resources to help you and the actual drive to do so! An if Dr.Logan doesn't have a book out by now...he should consider doing so! He's one of the most knowledgeable in the state regarding M.A.T-Outpatient Treatment. They accept most insurances (yes, including Medicaid) So don't wait till tmro (again) like I did. Call them!

I recently saw Dr. Oliva and her staff and I've seen a lot of Doctors over the years but very few have been as awesome as this. Virgina, the Doctors Program Director has been extremely helpful with many diffrent obsticals and she has gone above and beyond to help with everything. She even helped me out during Thanksgiving while she was with her family on the road. Dr. Oliva has been extremly helpful and isn't just there to call the shots but she listens and wants to hear you out and make sure you're happy with you're quality of care. I have nothing but respect and good things to say about Perspectives and staff. My situation was a little diffrent than most but regardless these people care about you!

Perspectives has vrrn as life changer.. i had to go into it with an open mind yea it's part of my probation obligation but once I got passed that part and remained open minded and willing to accept all the things perspectives has too offer; I've grown and life actually began to change as so did my own perspectives 😁

I don’t have enough words to express how much The Refuge has helped me. After frequenting through over a dozen mental health treatment centers and rehabs, there are only two I would recommend to someone I cared about (or anyone in general). One of those two is The Refuge. I was met there with so much kindness, care and consideration of my wants and needs by every single one of the BHA’s (behavioral health associates) and every one of the Clinical Staff. My personal team consisted of Ellen Mendez, case manager and Caitlin Downer, therapist, and couldn’t have gotten luckier with them. Although Caitlin is leaving the facility because of her physical move, there isn’t one therapist there I have a bad thing to say about and that doesn’t put their all into each clients treatment. Shelley, the clinical director does a great job at managing the program and creating ideal schedules for the clients. She is necessarily stern in order to keep everyone (facilitators included) and the program in check, but cares immensely for all her clients. Everyone there made me feel comfortable and cared for. I could not be happier with my experience there and am forever grateful to The Refuge for all the help I received.

I was referred to Pamela a couple of weeks after my wife of 33 years passed away unexpectedly in January of this year. Pamela was a Godsend. She was vital in helping me to navigate the grieving process by going through-not around or avoiding it. While i will always love and miss my wife, Pamela has helped me to start to live my life again. I don’t leave reviews. Like ever. So that’s indicative of how overwhelmingly grateful I am for my time at The Guest House. I arrived a shell of myself - scared, sick, lost, and completely worn down. I initially had the intention of only staying for 30 days - if even that. Once I dove into the work it became apparent that in that time I’d only be scratching the surface. I ended up staying the full 90. The staff and community loved me back to life. I have never felt so safe, accepted and worthy. The therapists are incredible. The staff are so warm and kind and supportive. It’s been almost a year since leaving and I miss being there so much. I would send a loved one that was struggling there in a heartbeat. There is nowhere like the Guest House. They will help you find yourself again, rediscover the pieces of yourself you lost along the way - what seemed to be your weaknesses will be revealed as strengths. AND you’ll make friends for life! If you’re thinking about it - just go. It will be the greatest gift you ever give yourself.

The Guest House is a very special place. They really know what they are doing when it comes to treating trauma. The entire staff is excellent, very caring. Medical staff were wonderful and so helpful. I highly recommend this place if you are struggling with addiction, alcoholism and/or trauma. This place changed my life for the better. I will forever be grateful.

Easy to fill out application, after 8 days even though last week was Thanksgiving I have yet to receive a call back. I have since went to the Citizens Service Center of Ocala and gotten further help with my situation. I'm seeking shelter at this moment. I was also referred to the Recovery House by many of my acquaintances, associates, and family/friends.

My daughter has been part of it for a year, and thanks to Dr. Adkinson, therapist Patricia, and Wendy Conley, the Behavioral Health Network Manager, who work effortlessly as a team in her best interest, her progress has been exceptional. I previously reviewed this practice, and this is to add on to my initial findings. The staff and all personnel working there are truly five star, as I stated previously!!!! However , I injured myself and needed an appointment last Monday. My Dr. Dr London was enjoying a well deserved vacation, and I was asked if I would like to see Dr. Gerard Casale. I agreed and I am here to say after meeting and being examined, I was so happy that Dr. Casale was able to exactly diagnose the problem, and he prescribed the proper medication for the proper time, and the proper strength!!!! It has been a week now, and I’m almost back to normal!!!! Dr. Casale said it would take 7 to 10 days. Being older at 62 years of age, I’ll take the full 10 days. I’m in no hurry!!!!!! Simed medical has done it again!!!!! When my five star Dr. Heather London is on vacation, no problem, as long as I can see my five star Dr Gerard Casale, I am very happy and very well taken care of !!!!! I am so pleased with the Super Dr. Gerard Casale, and there is no practice that I will go to for my primary care other than this Simed medical, because I only allow myself to be treated by the best physicians!!!!!!!! Dr. London and Dr. Casale are the best in the business. Thank you Dr. Casale and, I am so proud and honored to be your patient, and the gratitude I feel for you, and Dr. London, and all the staff is so strong, I am very unique patient, and I am very knowledgeable medically. Because of this I feel I have the credentials to write these reviews. What I have presented to you is actual fact, I have to be examined and treated by ONLY Dr. London or Dr. Casale , because they understand respect and honor the needs of a patient, who is like no other patient. Trust me, I am very different than the majority of our population, and I need to be treated like a very different and special individual!!!! These two doctors are on a scale of one to ten, they are both ten,at treating me correctly and then properly. In Ocala, I had major problems with 2 other practitioners, and now I have finally found a home!!!!!

As someone who works in the behavioral health field, I feel obligated to be honest: my experience at this treatment center was negative and, at times, felt emotionally unsafe. I did not feel supported in therapy. Instead, I often felt judged and singled out. Being labeled as “attention seeking” in a clinical setting was not only dismissive, but damaging—especially in a place where people are supposed to feel safe enough to be vulnerable. The overall environment felt unprofessional. There was a lack of respect and, at times, a noticeable tension that made it difficult to trust the staff or the process. Rather than feeling like I was in a space focused on healing, I often felt uncomfortable and on guard. In my opinion, this is not the standard of care people should expect from a residential treatment center. When someone is seeking help, they deserve professionalism, compassion, and a sense of safety—none of which I consistently experienced here. I would not return, and based on my experience, I would not recommend this facility—especially for women who are early in recovery and need a genuinely supportive environment. The BHT’s, chef Lesa, and supervisor were amazing. This review is more towards clinical and admin staff and their unprofessionalism.

I spent some time at this facility, and ultimately I had to leave due to a situation that I’d rather not get into. I’m choosing to let that part go and focus on what I feel is important to share. What I will say is that there were techs on the floor who truly showed up every day with consistency and heart. There’s one in particular I’m thinking of — I can’t recall his name, it wasn’t the easiest to pronounce — but he carried himself with a level of presence and care that didn’t go unnoticed. The kind of energy you hope to find in a place where people are trying to heal. At the same time, there was an undercurrent that didn’t sit right with me. I experienced what felt like retaliation and a strong sense of control in the dynamics behind the scenes. As someone seeking peace and clarity, that kind of energy can be unsettling. I also noticed a lot of internal tension being spoken about openly around clients. In my view, people in treatment shouldn’t be exposed to staff conflicts or internal issues. That space should feel grounded, safe, and focused on recovery — not influenced by things happening behind the curtain. It’s also worth mentioning that for a place that presents itself in a more holistic light, there seemed to be a strong reliance on medication. That may work for some, but it didn’t align with what I personally expected walking in. I share this not out of anger, but from a place of reflection. I hope the environment continues to grow in a way that truly supports the people who walk through those doors looking for something better.

My experience at Spring Gardens Recovery was completely transformed because of one person — Amilcar. Calling him a staff member honestly doesn’t do justice to what he is or what he does. He was the foundation that held everything together, the steady presence that made one of the most vulnerable times in my life feel safe, supported, and even hopeful. While others clocked in and out, Amilcar showed up with his whole heart every single day. He cooked meals that felt like comfort when people needed it most, kept the house running flawlessly, cleaned without ever being asked, monitored everything to make sure we were safe, and somehow still found time to check on each of us like we truly mattered. Nothing slipped past him, and no one ever felt invisible when he was around. Rehab is supposed to feel heavy — overwhelming, emotional, and difficult. But because of Amilcar, it didn’t feel institutional or cold. He created an atmosphere that felt alive, human, and genuinely caring. On the hardest days, his presence alone made things feel manageable. He didn’t just maintain the house; he lifted the entire spirit of it. There were moments when giving up would have been easier, but people kept going because Amilcar made you believe you could. That kind of dedication can’t be trained — it comes from someone who truly cares about the people he’s helping. Spring Gardens Recovery may be the facility, but Amilcar is the reason it feels like a place where real healing happens. His impact goes far beyond his role, and I will carry the gratitude for what he did for me for the rest of my life.
