This was my first time using the VA for medical and it was a pleasant experience. I requested an appointment online and was called a couple of days later to confirm the date and time. It is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. The front secretary wasn’t exactly warm, but otherwise everyone was very friendly. Dr. Bigoms and the staff at the eye clinic took their time with me and made me feel like I mattered. That doesn’t happen often in healthcare anymore, unfortunately.

People of tangu my intake date was 7/28/2025 I came broken and hopeless but over time I met sum amazing people I was addicted to meth I fought that demon for eight years of my life but many things I can say about tangu is they brought me in like family and treated me like family Ik it might be hard sometimes ik it might be scary but I trusted the staff at tangu recovery I feel like I was the worst of the worst but they really try there best too help people about a month in I wanted too leave and never come back but overtime I felt like family more and more everyday did I work my program a lot no I didn’t but did I get treated like family too them when I didn’t even know them I love all the staff there and the people yeah it might feel weird at first new people new place but it works it really does I have come along way since my first day since tangu three months might be long it might be hard but I honestly can say tangu had helped every step of the way I would not be in the position today I am without tangu not giving up on me so if you want a new way of life and looking for people you can trust and be there for you try tangu out and Guarantee you from a meth addict that struggled with addiction for eight years that’s now 127 sober that this program actually works I love you all and the new comers coming in it works you just have too trust the process

I recently had the privilege of spending a week at Willowbrooke Mental Institute, and I must say it was a truly transformative experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of calm and serenity wash over me, thanks to the beautiful surroundings and the warm welcome from the staff. The facilities were top-notch, with spacious rooms and a serene atmosphere that made it easy to relax and unwind. The therapy sessions were led by experienced professionals who were knowledgeable and empathetic, and the group sessions were engaging and thought-provoking. But what really impressed me was the sense of community that permeated every aspect of the program. From the daily activities to the meals, everything was designed to promote connection and camaraderie among the residents. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that everyone felt supported and included, and I left feeling like I was part of a true community rather than just a patient. Overall, my experience at Willowbrooke was nothing short of exceptional, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a compassionate and effective approach to mental health treatment.

Good luck trying to get them to offer you real treatment. They don't even move a finger to try to help you. It's sad that they lack so much compassion.

My daughter is seen by the therapist and Dr here. I called, I'm authorized to speak for her, and the receptionist was very rude, said the people in line in front of her took priority over her answering my call. Very rude, uncaring people to be in the mental health field.

I've recently been referred out to this facility on three separate occasions from CSU's for depression and suicide attempts. Russel County clinic to be precise. CSU puts me on medication, but they only release you with a certain amount. I show up to east alabama/ Integrea each time for my follow up appointments and each time my doctor's appointments are put a month off. Does east alabama care about you running out of medication? No. Infact, they act as if they are just as much in the dark about operations as you are. It's a joke of a facility and unless you want your mental health to digress then I would steer clear. Then the appointment they give me is for 8:30 am, but get this...it's 2 hours and 8 minutes away in Talapoosa. Did they elaborate on that? No. They don't elaborate on anything helpful. Then my last appointment the lady asked if I could contact the CSU I was in to get them to hurry the process of my release that I signed because of course she'd ask for me to do her job that she gets paid to do. I ran out of Suboxone, Zoloft, and Mirtazipine three weeks prior to these appointments. I forgot to mention. This is the third time it's happened and is directly contributed to my last two hospitalizations. Place should be shutdown and turned into something that's actually useful to society because it's current standing is a waste of space and tax dollars. Stay away from Integrea unless you have a death wish because whenever it concerns mental health it can be a matter of life and death. It's the difference between collecting a paycheck and doing something your passionate about and these people are just there collecting a check. Let's not forget to mention that my recent suicide attempt actually killed me. I had to be resuscitated and was on life support. Afterwards I go to the great integrea with them fully aware of the situation and 3rd time wasn't the charm. Same song and dance. They should be ashamed. I'll be contacting the better business bureau and they'll be lucky if I don't push for legal recourse because someone needs to do something. I know I'm not the only one dealing this.

Place is the best! They helped me tremendously through a rough time in my life, they are the best mental health treatment center ive gone to in the greater atlanta area and i truly believe it is my last!

had a good time getting help here with friendly staff, clean facility, great food and compassionate clients. I was sad to leave! If you’re looking for a good mental health facility, this is the one. They are clearly in this business for the money. They don’t call back, don’t give firm answers and say one thing to your face and do another. This facility needs to be investigated.
