They are kind, accomodating and respectful. I didn't feel condescended to, nor treated like less of a human being. I felt that the workers set a tone of respect and dignity and support on the unit. The groups were awesome and very well facilitated. I felt like they weren't just there for a paycheck, that they actually cared about doing a good job. I really appreciated the ability to isolate in my room, unlike other facilities that lock the rooms during the day. That was a necessity for me as an autistic person, in order to prevent overwhelm and truly feel safe. Therapy groups could be stressful, but I wasn't forced to attend which I really appreciate. I called the VA hospital on August 3, 2026, spoke to a very nice lady, told her what I needed, and she assured me that she would get the information to the Pharmacy right away. I expected maybe a 2 week window before I received the medication. SURPRISE! I received everything within 5 days. So, thank you very much to the lady I spoke to; and to the Pharmacy staff.
