Hello I'm George Dickinson I had been coming there for a long time the Drs there have saved my life several times but unfortunately they are hiring ex drug addicts that don't have enough time e sober to be working there with people like myself with mental illness all I can say is becarefull with the front desk people they are so unhappy because they cannot feel happy cuz some of them haven't been sober long enough that they want to make everyone else miserable

The receptionist is very compassionate. She goes over and beyond to help the consumers.

As a former client, I highly recommend them for your recovery. Great Facility and the staff is top notch. They truly care about your recovery and wellbeing. I feel like a part of the family there now. Check them out.

People of tangu my intake date was 7/28/2025 I came broken and hopeless but over time I met sum amazing people I was addicted to meth I fought that demon for eight years of my life but many things I can say about tangu is they brought me in like family and treated me like family Ik it might be hard sometimes ik it might be scary but I trusted the staff at tangu recovery I feel like I was the worst of the worst but they really try there best too help people about a month in I wanted too leave and never come back but overtime I felt like family more and more everyday did I work my program a lot no I didn’t but did I get treated like family too them when I didn’t even know them I love all the staff there and the people yeah it might feel weird at first new people new place but it works it really does I have come along way since my first day since tangu three months might be long it might be hard but I honestly can say tangu had helped every step of the way I would not be in the position today I am without tangu not giving up on me so if you want a new way of life and looking for people you can trust and be there for you try tangu out and Guarantee you from a meth addict that struggled with addiction for eight years that’s now 127 sober that this program actually works I love you all and the new comers coming in it works you just have too trust the process

The staff here really do care. My PACT team has been on point helping me to resolve emergent health issues. It took some community referrals because Atlanta is so busy, but I feel blessed NP Williams and her team rock!

Mary at front desk is wonderful to talk with. She does great at her job. I also have been very happy with Dr. Kelley, the person drawing samples in the lab, and Dr. Fauchs. Nice people.

Friendly and helpful staff, excellent lab techs. The Nurses are Professional and throught with their screenings and will answer any and all questions they can. The Dr's are OK when you can keep on long enough to get to know them.😁

i got so much help from here but has not been in a month. I have to go back . they are so kind and understanding. They are so easy to take to and has been helpful to me in so many ways. Life is Hard and they seem to understand that.

Grady has helped Me in many ways and helped find my way through the darkest times. If your struggling with addiction please call them and give them a chance to help. If you listen and let them, they'll help you if ya want it. Also it doesn't If you can't afford it or don't have insurance they'll find a way. Programs are available.

Ms.Tameka (Front desk personnel), Ms. Shay, and Mr. Lindsey (MH Case Managers) made a profound impression on me during my first visit. Their responses to my questions were informative and well-thought out. And they didn't seem burnt-out or angry but seemed to enjoy their positions there. They all showed a sincere passion for helping others with their issues and concerns. I felt empowered and encouraged after the consultation was completed. Thx so much.

Newport is a good place to Detox at. They accept most insurance and can set you up with a bed over the phone. They support MAT but I brought my own supply so I can’t speak on theirs. They gave me a 5 day benzodiazepine taper and vitamins/supplements, along with my normal meds. The intake process was simple, you get shook down a bit upon entering the clinical area, they look through your things and your person. They do a urine test, TB stick, and take blood on day 2. I would suggest bringing a weeks worth of clothing, warm stuff, pajamas, house shoes, shower shoes are a must, reading material, writing material, recovery books, you will need an extra pillow or 2, bring your own blanket and basic toiletries-they can supply hygiene items if necessary, cigarettes / tobacco, you can’t bring vapes, no phones. The bathroom was a lil nasty but the showers were clean and functional as well as private. The place is a bit dingy and old feeling overall and could use paint and decor. The bedrooms have a window and 2-3 twin beds with divider curtains between each, and 2 nightstands/shelves. You get fresh clean pillow cases, blankets, sheets, towels, washcloth. The beds aren’t great but they’re not the worst I’ve seen. You can come and go from your room to the Dayroom or nurses station as you please. There is a landline phone available during certain hours. I was there with 5-6 other folks. I had a relapse on stimulants and was admitted a few days after calling. Nurse Ginny spoke to me on the phone and she was very kind and experienced. The nurses were great, Rose was the best. The daytime started with a meal from Piccadilly, these to go plates were so-so. Some were better than others. But the portions were big. You also get a snack every night at night med call. We would then do groups, they had a good variety. Some were videos some were activity based some writing based, etc. The counselors were all nice people and qualified. The aftercare coordinator Joy that worked with me was super friendly and helpful. They can also set you up with part time classes to attend on site after you graduate detox, or send you to an inpatient residential treatment center, then halfway house. They’ll take you all the way if you put in the work, they have the connections and knowledge to help people in tons of ways. Take advantage of people like this, they live to help others. They could use a new DVD player and some DVDs and Blu rays for sure, and art supplies. Overall it’s a good place to get clean. The intake process was smooth and the place itself was solid, programs and everything. Food, beds, and the paint/decor, as well as the men’s bathroom are my only complaints. I had a room to myself the whole time I was there, and got a lot of writing and some reading done. Played some cards and watched some movies. My time there really helped me a lot in my recovery journey. I use Smart Recovery and have gotten deep into the program since leaving detox. They offer AA, NA, and other support groups as well. If you are battling addicting and need help, reach out, this is a good jumping off point. It’s all up to you.

Place is the best! They helped me tremendously through a rough time in my life, they are the best mental health treatment center ive gone to in the greater atlanta area and i truly believe it is my last!

had a good time getting help here with friendly staff, clean facility, great food and compassionate clients. I was sad to leave! If you’re looking for a good mental health facility, this is the one. At Check-in the associates have a tendency to leave veterans standing in line while having conversations. Some of us are on canes and can't stand for long periods of time.

Ft. Mac offers a lot of services to us veterans and dependents. I wished they had natural medicine doctors instead of the ones the only thing they're taught to do is issue pills for everything. They have excellent therapy services they saved me in my time of crisis!! Thank you, Dr. Williams and Ms. Barbara Smith, for my sanity, I couldn't have done it without either of you and your staff!!

Currently have food trucks available to installation! I'd Be remiss not to tell you the Foods excellent!!! Willie b's sisters are shining 😊

Had nothing bad to say . My doctor was cool and funny 😂. He got me out quick and was real . People have to come in here and be friendly and these veterans don’t be nice . They be rude to the workers sometimes and old and bitter .

I went in having neck pains. Having never been there I needed directions both in and out. There were many staff members to assist me. I had my vitals taken and saw a Dr. From there I was at the pharmacy and on my way home back to the holiday week. Arrived at 10:00 am and at 1:00 out. Thank you all for your service.
