After getting out of the Marine Corps, I settled in New Mexico and have used the VA facility for over 37 years now and let me say New Mexico truly has none of the finest medical facilities. Throughout the United States, New Mexico has my number one. Vote for the healthcare for all veterans, and I've only been to 2 others lomelinda, California, which is always busy and always slammed for the veterans, and then there's the one on oho street in Tucson Arizona, where I was sent to go by the VA from New Mexico. For special medical treatment that the VA back then do not offer here. But they found me a facility where I could go and get my medical treatment done. That's what I call looking out for a veteran during a tough situation.

The team there is great! I've been on methadone for over 30 yrs and dosed at probably over 10 clinics not counting courtesy dosing. This clinic is one of the best clinics I've been at. The staff seem to genuinely care! The nurses, the counselors all the way up to the program coordinator. I'm very pleased to be a client here. I'd recommend this clinic to anyone who needs help with addiction treatment.

I've been going here for 4 years and I have always been treated well! I will say that the newest Director, Robert, is a very good man. He's a very down to earth person, he listens to the clients, and he truly cares about both his employees as well as the clients whom dose here! Since he has become the Director, it's been positive all around. I would also like to give a big shout out to my counselor, Robert M., (a different Robert)! He's an awesome counselor and person as well!! He always makes time to talk with me or any of the other clients!!! And last, but definitely not least Crystal, one of the nurses is an awesome lady! She's super sweet and she always takes the time to ask how I'm doing!! Thank you all for what you do!!! Keep up the great work!!! This is a great place with awesome people!!!

Adult & Teen Challenge New Mexico has truly changed my life. I came all the way from Florida, legally blind and in need of a new direction, and God met me on this mountain in ways I never could have imagined. Through this program, Jesus has restored my life, strengthened my faith, and surrounded me with incredible love, compassion, accountability, and support. Today, I have the privilege of serving as an intern and helping other men along the same journey I once needed help walking myself. It’s amazing to look back at where I started and see where God has brought me. I may not be able to see the mountain very well, but I can definitely see what God is doing on it! 😂 I’m incredibly grateful for this ministry, the people who serve here, and everything Jesus continues to do through Adult & Teen Challenge New Mexico.

I’m new to both The Evolution Group and in-person therapy in general, but so far the experience has been… lovely. The space is like a protective compound of renovated homes with a central peaceful garden and multiple therapy spaces. It feels safe, comfortable, and thoughtful. The staff have made the process simple… like checking into a spa. My therapist, Crystal, is patient, warm, personable, and genuinely listens. I’ve only had 2 sessions, but all of the worry and anxiety of being in a new environment and situation melted away during the first session. We haven’t started the work of therapy just yet, but I’m optimistic about the journey given the amazing start. Update: Seven months later and I'm still very much impressed. Crystal is a wonderful therapist and a beautiful soul. I'll be honest, the first 4 months felt like a rinse and spin cycle. That's just my experience of the process, but the team there made it easy to be a patient. Something strange... that place feels familiar and safe, like going home (in a good way). I continue to refer coworkers here.

This place saved my life. When I was admitted, they were very kind, called me not only by how I look (masculine) but respected my preferred name. There was lots of outside time. The staff were amazing, if needed you could get a hug, and helped me with everything! Just absolute saints. Even when I started my period, they staff were amazing, supplied me with plenty of spare pants + pads, and were absolutely amazing. The night staff I got for about half of my stay was very strict, and I very much appreciated it, as it can get chaotic, but it was just absolutely amazing, they helped me through panic attacks and everything, I just can't express how much they helped me!!! I will always consider this place as a home ❤️

this place is nicer than others, (presbyterian) and i appreciate that they dont have cameras in the bedrooms for privacy. You can also ask techs for hugs if you would like, this really helped me as one of my coping skills in physical touch and helps from my derealization. I wish we got to go outside more though, and the seclusion room is a bit less comforting than it should be. but overall, it was okay and it helped.

I have been to a few other places, but Anchor has definitely helped me the most with the transition between in-patient and society. The amount of understanding and support I have received is truly life-changing. To give a single person a shout-out would be extremely difficult, because I have had countless situations that I have brought forth, and every person I would reach out to gave me words of comfort, advice, and went out of their way to be there for me. It's truly a staff of saints! I owe so much to this program, and I truly recommend if someone is serious about their recovery, and they're ready to put in the work, that this is the program they need and deserve.

I began much-needed individual therapy this month at New Mexico Solutions. It has helped my interior life substantially already. I want to mention two qualities that stand out. The first was what has helped me the most. I have worked thus far with Alexa Brown who is doing a phenomenal job taking me seriously. I struggle with the impression that the people around me do not, on even the most fundamental level, have any respect for me, and, as I unravel myself in order to heal the parts of myself about which I'm most ashamed, Alexa's unwavering validation has been invaluable. I could not have asked for a person with whom it is easier to speak. The second was the ease by which I have been able to access therapy. I found it surprising that I could manage to fit anything at all into my schedule, given how much I've struggled to access other forms of healthcare since moving to New Mexico. Many thanks to the staff at New Mexico Solutions for making the process easy.

I left a pretty bad review about 5 years ago. I decided to stay at Duke City and have had a few bad problems since. Really bad staff like them messing up my insurance payments and trying to blame me. But...... This place is a big part of the reason I'm going to be sober for 10 years in August. It's the reason I have take homes and live a normally relative life. The reason I can hold good jobs. The reason I'm not dead in a gutter. So with that being said, things change. I've seen a LOT of change over the years. About 5 years ago a very overzealous counselor finally left, she was a good counselor but far too influential with management and defensive of really stupid policies like the early open access. Like I said things have changed a lot. Groups are optional now. You can do counseling over the phone. Good stuff. Just.. stay on top of any payment plan you have. And I strongly recommend not using private insurance because billing seems to work with medicaid 99% of the time and any time I've tried to use Cobra insurance or private insurance they have screwed it up and I end up on a payment plan. I still never got reimbursed by the way. They must owe me two or three checks over the years but what ever. My top concern is that I get my treatment. And I do. My counselor calls me. I get my medicine. Things are okay. So i changed my review from a one to a four after 5 years. I think that is fair. I do wish however that they use a nurse to do the observed UAs. Nothing against the security guards but it feels like I'm in a parole office rather than a treatment center. I'm here voluntarily. I also don't appreciate it when I have legitimate trouble peeing and the workers immidiately go straight for the stick and say "oh well we can just mark you as a dirty" If you actually look at my record I haven't had a dirty since I started treatment nearly a decade ago. Why would I want a dirty now? I just need to drink some water you fool... Other than that, things are good. The clinic is in a good space. Best in years. I strongly recommend management take the win and try not to dramatically change things because this is their peak. Best they have been in years. Keep it up. Please. I can't go back go pre pandemic Duke city. I just cant. That was brutal.

I am deeply indebted to this wonderful program. The director Garrett is humble, approachable and willing to individualize your care. If you want a mother like therapist who is empathetic and comforting Veronica is a perfect fit. My favorite therapist is Jonathan for PHP. He creates a family like atmosphere, encourages and creates group communication. Jonathan shows he truly cares about each individual in his class and is attentive to our day to day needs. I feel like this program is helping me to change my life and support my desire to become more positive and keep a purposeful attitude. Saige and Georganna are the best cheerleaders and provide so much practical help. Thank you all so much.

My Intake and Start in PHP I am a 74-year-old male. When I was in crisis and at risk of suicide, my wife took me to Haven. After a mental health interview, I was admitted into the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). After completing the intake forms, I received a notebook with documents that helped me understand what to expect. I began treatment in the PHP group, and the amount of information I learned was amazing. The therapists were genuinely concerned about the patients and made sure we knew help was available whenever we needed it. The Care and Support I Received Haven offers a wide range of treatment plans and skills-based lessons to help patients deal with different situations. Topics included emotions, coping strategies, anxiety, fear, and understanding how I was feeling. As part of treatment, I also participated in yoga every other week and learned about meditation and calming sounds. I had some very difficult experiences with mental health treatment when I was 14 or 15 years old, and I was afraid I would receive the same kind of treatment again. Haven showed me that psychiatry today is very different from what I experienced when I was younger. Patients are not labeled; they are treated with respect, compassion, and dignity. Haven’s employees want to make sure patients are prepared to deal with their addictions and other issues before they are discharged. Everyone is willing to help, follow through on requests, and check back to make sure things are okay. What I Learned The program works best when you become involved in the group and actively participate in your therapy. Haven teaches the skills, but each person has to choose to use them and take part in the change. I can only say this: Haven saved my life. Remember: You matter. My Therapist, Jonathan My therapist in PHP was Jonathan, and I am moving to IOP this coming week. Jonathan helped our group understand how emotions, feelings, and words can affect the path to better health. He taught us about triggers, calming words, honesty, and taking responsibility for how much we learn from the lessons. Jonathan brings out the best in what I have learned. He is honest and direct, and he challenges people to look closely at their feelings, comfort words, choices, and the way everything fits together. He taught me that one action can lead to many changes. Jonathan is calm and patient. He offers support to anyone who needs it, and it is clear that this work is not just a job for him, it is his passion. He shows that in many ways, including checking in with me and asking how I am doing that day. He encourages honest conversations about feelings, difficult thoughts, and questions about how each person is doing. The group participates in these discussions, and Jonathan helps us understand different feelings and different ways to respond to them. He has also introduced words and tools that can create healthier reactions. Jonathan has made it clear that he is available to talk after group, during breaks, through scheduled times, and through Zoom meetings. He has supported me throughout this journey and is always willing to help when needed. He always asks the group to give him feedback, suggestions on lessons that the group decides it needs to have help with. Jonanthan will do his best to come up with a lessons to address these concerns He is the best therapist I have met. I cannot say enough good things about him or the lessons he presents. .
