Dr. Aleen Shah has been the best doctor I have ever had in relation to my mental health and just life in general. She has helped me navigate incredibly complex challenges that had once burdened me.Most importantly, she cares about me and her patients in a way that makes me feel safe and shameless to share my struggles. Her presence and guidance in my life has and continues to help me re align my life with a new lens of healing. I can finally say I am happy again. You rock Dr. Aleen!!!

My ex wife Galen left an insane review against Dr Shah while contacting my probation officer trying to put me in jail and using legal loopholes to destroy my life my home my children and attempting to end my bupe MAT a few months after Dr shah helped get me off a 15 year methadone nightmare. I've legitimately never had a more compassionate and helpful Dr. Since starting we've gone from 36mg daily to 12. Without her help I wouldn't have been able to get my freedom and health back. She's also been very helpful with probation and court since I've been in good standing with the clinic. When I started she even had me take a DNA test to see if there was anything other than benzodiazepines I could be prescribed because of its addiction and life ruination potential. No other Dr ever even attempted such a thing. Thanks Dr Shah.

This is my second time at Care Addiction Center, I wasn t ready to change the first time back in 2019. This time I made the decision that I was going to do whatever was recommended of me, which is why I reached out.Matt Goff who runs the facility, welcomed me back with open arms after messaging him this second time around when I needed help. He didn't message me back he picked up the phone and called me! Their wasn't an ounce of judgement in his voice, just pure concern for my well-being, and he remembered details of my time there from 6 years ago. 100's of people have come through that facility in that timeframe, and he picked up from 6 years ago remembering me without missing a beat. Not only that, but I got in to meet with him the next day, and I was in a seat at the facility for IOP the next night. Which was a huge relief, and a large weight had been lifted off my shoulders knowing that I was in great hands.Alice is another amazing person at this facility. She has been my guide through this very difficult process of recovery, and is one of the finest therapist s I have had the pleasure to work with. She leads groups on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and does family groups on Saturday, along with her individual sessions as well. She figured me out the first day I met her, which was refreshing and much needed. She understands how confusing and overwhelming addiction can be, but breaks it down in a way that makes sense, and keeps things simple for a brain that is healing itself. It was meant to be for me to cross paths with Alice.Torri is another phenomenal person at the facility, and a therapist at the facility that leads the groups on Mondays and Thursdays along with her individual sessions with clientele here. Her infectious laugh, and incredible intelligence in all modalities of the recovery process will make you want to click your pen and take as many notes as possible to learn how to overcome this disease of addiction. She will tell it how it is, but give you a hug when you need it.Nurse Jerry is one of the kindest down to earth people you will also meet during your time here. During the medical assessment he not only performed all the necessary medical exams with pure professionalism, and integrity. But he also had a heart to heart conversation with me, that made me feel welcome, and let me know that I was not alone in this process. There was no rush, just cared about my overall well-being which to me is huge.I don't take these reviews lightly, especially for something as serious as addiction. But if you want to take the first step, or whatever step you are on in order to change your life, then this is place for you. They will do everything they can to help you succeed, but you have to want it!Thank you everyone at the Care Addiction Center, you have truly changed my life and I can't wait to see what else I can learn from you guys over the beginning of my recovery process, and the rest of my life! Thanks Again For Everything,Kelly Scott Harm Jr.

The outpatient program at Rosecrance has been invaluable to my recovery. Dominique demonstrates an authentic commitment to helping me, and others in the group, maintain our sobriety. Whether it is through therapeutic programming, providing resources to enable our recovery, or just simply by helping navigate confusing financial aid forms, she is all in and wants to see her clients succeed. When Steve has had to fill in, on days Dominique was not here, he did the same. They both really just seem to care but also hold you accountable if you are not helping yourself. | Lighthouse Recovery is dedicated to provide substance abuse treatment to those adults seeking for help. Services include cognitive behavioral therapy, aftercare, trauma-informed care and more. Lighthouse Recovery is located at Saint Charles, Illinois. Lighthouse Recovery believes that they can truly make a difference in the lives of those who are | Treatments Programs Payment Options | SAVING LIVES, 24/7, 365. I never expected in my wildest dreams to discover such a unique and outstanding program in an unassuming building in the suburbs of Chicago. They're genuinely innovative and there's a subtle but real magic to the place. At the end of the day, Lighthouse is a collection of extraordinary people. Most notably, Nate Lanthrum, the founder and clinical director. He's assembled the most passionate, effective and dedicated team imaginable. For those directly effected by substance abuse including the families and loved ones, you could not be more fortunate to have Lighthouse as a resource at your disposal. In terms of quality, Lighthouse is in a category of its own. It's far better than the best of the best programs I've encountered. It may not have the luxurious offerings of a facility like "Promises" in Malibu but it certainly makes up for the lack superficial luxuries with substance, authenticity and effectiveness 1,000 fold..Lighthouse offers something money cannot buy; people who for whatever reason care about you and your loved ones. All treatment plans are customized to each individual that walks through the door. It's a fundamentally different approach to the recovery process. It's not a static program either because Nate makes sure to stay up-to-date with the latest treatment methods and he'll incorporate something if it works.Everyone that works at Lighthouse is of the highest quality and character. The key players off the top of my head are Nate, Dr Steve Holtsford (the "House" Addiction Medicine Expert), Marty who handles intake and paperwork, Dominic (Task Master and human whisperer) and last; the greatest psychotherapist working in the field, Rehna Becker (mother nature's improvement on Carl Jung). I do not have enough superlatives for Nate. He is the best of men. Steve is an emergency room doctor and a brilliant addiction medicine specialist. Marty has to focus on the business side of the operation to ensure the doors stay open. He's an honest guy and hard-working guy doing a thankless and unglamorous job. Dominic fulfills so many roles it's impossible to pigeonhole him but he's a walking blessing. He's much better read than most Nobel laureates, never complains, and will likely be your most consistent point of contact (he's a fixer and a closer, a gentleman and scholar). Rehna is some kind of sorceress. The things she does by intuition cannot be taught. Then there's Emily Mohls who handles psychiatric issues with an ocean of compassion while staying up to the minute with the most revolutionary treatments.Altogether, this group is the "Seal Team 6" of recovery. As a business and as a treatment facility they exemplify the best of human virtue and character. They treat each person who walks through their doors with the dignity and respect they deserve. You could search the world over for a better team, a more "advanced" or "cutting edge" program, even a different paradigm but as someone who tried everything else, and I do mean EVERYTHING, you won't find it. If you do, let me know. I'm posting this under my real name. I'm too grateful to be proud.

I have tried several other places for MAT care for substance abuse and I have to say that Dr Steven Holtsford is hands down the absolute best. He treats you like a individual person, not a text book case of addiction. He cares, he listens and he helps you. Sobriety is possible for me! Thank you Dr Holtsford!!!Dominic and Eva are also very kind and compassionate people that work closely with the Dr. They are there to help you every step of the way. Without you guys I couldn't have made it.If you are struggling with addiction and are looking for the best place to go, you've found it!!! Look no further.

I entered The Gateway Foundation on October 31st 1996, my life had become unmanageable up until that point due to my addiction to cocaine. Thanks to Tyrone Anderson, who was an addiction counselor there at that time, and my mother, my life took a dramatic turn. Upon entering the facility my first 10 minutes after walking through the door they took a picture of me right there at the front door,I later learned why one year later. They admitted me right in the middle of a big Halloween party they were having that night ,my first thought was,.well alright.! this place is going to work out just fine.! walked right into a party right off the street. But oh boy, what a change of mind I had the next few days. I thought I had seen all the tricks in the book after completing basic training in the military,.USAF at that ! but my experiences at Gateway Foundation for one whole year,.OMG ! I hadn't seen nothing. I thought that I had done every kind of menial chores from mopping ,and cleaning ,scrubbing ,you name it ,while going through basic training in the military,.ha ! And my drill sergeant would shudder if he had to endure what we called at Gateway during that time a 'smoking". Basically it's when you mess up or violate a rule, you are commanded to go down in the basement, right below the meeting hall, where everybody can hear you get your feelings blowed out your mind, and heart by your fellow classmates in one of the loudest, meanest super aggressive verbal reprimands you have ever had in your life,.but it does get your attention though,.LOL. I'm saying all this to say that as addicts, we sometimes endure much worse treatment on the mean streets and environments of drug and alcohol addiction, but we are not discouraged by not so friendly people out there to still acquire our drugs of choice. Thanks to the environment of peer assisted treatment I received at Gateway, it helped me face the reality of life on the streets as an addict. I'm not saying that everything worked out perfect after leaving Gateway, we all struggle through the up's and downs of recovery, it's knowing how to get back on the right track, how to stay on the right track,, where and how to seek help when we fall that's important to continuing your life of sobriety. Thanks to the educational and therapeutical experiences I received from Gateway, I can proudly say that I am a happy, successful and drug free person to this very day.and I look nothing like that admission picture from 28 years ago.I encourage all who read this ,if you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse issues, consider getting the help you need from The Gateway Foundation, I'm thankful my family did it for me. My experience with this hospital has been amazing. Every time I came in for an appointment, I have been seen very quickly, within 10 minutes at most. All of the staff are nice and professional, from receptionists to doctors. Whenever I needed some specialty care (knee surgery, GI, cyst removal), the process to be scheduled for the consultation -> examination -> procedure -> post-op has always been reasonably fast or better. The cons are a fairly slow pharmacy (usually) and it has been difficult to reach people by phone (once or twice). But besides those two, I've always wished civilian hospitals operated the way James A. Lovell does.

My therapist Steven Wilcox is also very resourceful with tools that I need daily in outside services. Dr. Christina Kassenbrock is a very caring and knowledgeable asset to Mathers Clinic. Any medication that she prescribes is carefully monitored. She doesn t just listens, she hears me. I trust her judgement and her ability to help my family. I've been there 5 times because I didn't fully listen to them the first 4 times. I've been sober 8 years now. I am forever grateful to the staff and big book people who came in to help the ignorant, selfish, low bottom, sick individuals like I myself once was. Treatment is not fun and these people r not ir mothers. Remember, if u don't want what they offer Go somewhere else
