He was Deep in addiction when he got here and I was fearful because of the reviews and because his addiction was just so bad I didn’t know if anything was going to help. Before footprints, I was planning to bury my loved one. He is now healthy, clean and sober and has a career. I can never thanks footprints to recovery enough. All the staff was very kind to me when I went to visit and drop stuff off for him. The fact that we’re getting medicine at night between 1030 and 11 is brutal as we’re expected to wake up at six in the morning per your schedules, which goes against your other directive of getting eight hours of sleep. I also had my wife bring two ply toilet paper and it was rejected, which is a joke. No one should have one ply and I bet whoever is reading this uses two ply. I’d like to get that sent to my cottage ASAP. They also took a small tube of gorilla glue, which I was trying to help my roommates with to fix a pair of broken glasses and that wasn’t even recognized on the old held yet it wasn’t in my bag of goods I received either. Geneva, IL | Care Addiction Center is an outpatient addiction treatment provider in Geneva, Illinois, offering flexible, person-centered care for individuals and families affected by substance use. The program provides intensive outpatient (IOP), standard outpatient services, individual counseling, family therapy, aftercare, alumni support and online treatment | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This is my first time experiencing an addiction recovery program. But I can honestly say I've never been part of any program (of any kind) that has counselors and leaders with bigger hearts! I was recommended this place by my therapist, and can honestly say it was not only the best decision I've ever made but the most life-changing decision I've ever gotten to experience. As soon as I started, I could instantly tell that the counselors and leaders weren't just there to do a job but genuinely cared about every patient who entered their program. It was amazing to not only get education and tools on how to go through recovery but also how to cope with life outside of recovery with a tailored made schedules for each individual. This program also has amazing outside events for its patients in recovery, such as game nights, movie/book club nights, and more. Care Addiction Center is more than a program; it's a beating heart that saves & changes lives! I can honestly say it saved mine! If you're looking for a program that can get you to that next step when every other programs or every other solution has not worked, I promise you if you follow their advice and tips, you definitely will. I'm grateful to have met every single person a part of this program! I don't think there is a better recovery program that really exists; especially for its affordability. I know I'm biased, but there are many who would back that! I'm genuinely so grateful for these counselors and leaders and the many I've met who joined me in the program along the way!

BEST EXPERIENCE!!! This center was perfect for me because I am not a very social person and the small group sessions were perfect. Also, the small group allowed for me to learn more and get the most from the program. The instructors are very well versed and knowledgeable about addiction. I looked forward to going every day. Our group became very close knit and we do activities together outside of class. I stayed in Crisis Residential for a month (I got an extended week) and I learned so much and had SUCH a great time, I HIGHLY recommend this place if you're in need of a timeout. Lots and lots of groups, very well structured, the rules are really easy to understand and follow, and the staff genuinely cares about how you're feeling during your stay as well. You get to see your psychiatrist once a week to make sure your medication is helping, and the psychiatrists they have on staff are wonderful, as well as your therapist and if you're in the substance abuse program, they're kind too, from what I've heard.
Once again, thank you Ecker, for helping me learn to manage my anxiety and various other symptoms. You've done a great job for a lot of people! 10/5 stars!

This place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! They saved my lyfe for sure and are currently saving my girlfriends lyfe. I can not say enough good things about this place and trust me if it was wack I'd put them on blast. First the nursing staff is more then amazing. I went there to detox from the typical West Side of Chicago herion-fetinol-xylazine-morphine bullshit and knew I was in for a rough couple weeks. Shout out to all the nurses but especially Linda in detox. This lady held my hand and I completely give her all the credit in the world for getting me through that. After detox I went to the men's unit. I can only speak on the councilors I've had cause I've been there twice but John and Tera are amazing in every way. The staff is awesome with special shout outs to D, Sammy, Kurt and Chase for sure. If you've never witnessed one of Chases groups this man will change your lyfe. The rehab itself is like a resort and I called it the Passeges Malibu of Illinois. It's right on the lake and everything is gorgeous. Id recommend this place 100 times over. The only negative thing I have to say is I came with 2 brand new scripts of Alprazalam and Adderall that was destroyed without my consent even though they belonged to me and everyone said I'd get them back but I guess thats rehab for you. If your struggling with anything this is the best possible place for you. They truly save lives.

Ascension Alexian Brothers is a hosp | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I’d like to start out saying thank you Ascension Saint Lexington Brothers elk Grove Village hospital.
My experience this time around at this hospital was really good
Nice and clean and easy to get to.
The hospital stay for four days was very nice. Third floor room 3107 very clean and nice. I gotta say the bed was pretty comfortable.
The day shift staff was very nice and on top of everything. The Night Shift staff was very kind and nice .
One thing the hospital patient chair when not in bed needs to be updated. The handles on the arms on the chairs were rickety and dirty and beat up not very comfortable.
Overall, I would come back to that hospital again to have any other procedures done.
I do recommend this hospital.

Staff is warm, helpful, competent, attentative in conversation, patient & responsive in registering, processing, diagnosing & treating. A+ .. admitting in ER was simple & quick. Err medical Staff was efficient, professional, sensitive & pleasant working with me. The STAFF AT EVERY LEVEL WERE MORE LIKE A WARM FAMILY THAT A BUNCH OF IMPERSONAL WORKERS AT A COLD JOBSITE.
I had a complex serious illness which mimicked a STROKE but was quickly Medically Assessed Corrrectly by MEDICAL TRIAGE , using IMAGING SCANS, BLOOD CHEMISTRY ANALYSIS & A VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COMPETENT MEDICAL DOCTOR with a Serious Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) requiring ImmediateSERIOUS IV ANTIBIOTIC TREATMENT & QUICKLY ADMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL WITH TREATMENT BEGINNING…
THE NURSING STAFF WAS EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD. VERY PROFESSIONAL, VERY SUPPORTIVE AND QUICKLY RESPONSIVE.
This hospital quickly access the last 20+ years of my medical records from my prior hospitals in Tennessee. So they knew all of my conditions and all of my medical issues in addition to what they were treating.
PS: The food is prepared by a chef, I was able to order from a menu which included vegan vegetarian food. It was delivered hot individually, not as part of trying to feed every person in the hospital at the same time it was restaurant quality food. I have never had such good food in hospital.

Saint Charles, IL | Lighthouse Recovery is located in downtown Saint Charles, Illinois, and offers outpatient treatment for clients with substance use (SUD) and co-occurring mental health disorders. They have a Level I outpatient program for adolescents and adults, as well as a Level II intensive outpatient program (IOP). Clients can receive medication assisted treatm | Treatments Programs Payment Options | All the staff here is exceptional. Yet there are 3 people I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart; Nate (the clinical director), Dr Steve Holtsford, and a Lighthouse collaborator, Rehna Becker. These 3 people have saved my life in their own way. That's no small thing.
Nate was the one who got through to me when no one else could. He is the reason I stayed in recovery. He's so incredibly intelligent, witty, charismatic, heartfelt and has a brilliant sense of humor to go with a great big heart. I think a good sense of humor is wildly underappreciated when dealing with such incredibly heavy topics. Likewise, he knows the exact moment to pivot and get real with you. He is the one who started this whole incredible program.
Dr. Holtsford is probably the best physician working in addiction medicine in the state of Illinois and I would wager, he's going to emerge as a leader at the national level. He stays up to date with the most cutting edge research as it relates his area of expertise. He has a certain ease about him that makes it easy to open up and be honest which is one of the greatest challenges facing anyone who is in recovery. There could not be a finer medical director at the helm of a recovery clinic.
Last but definitely not least is Rehna. She is the most extraordinary therapist I have encountered in my lifetime and I have met with dozens. I am not sure I should be mentioning her as I believe she has a separate practice that's in the same building. Rehna is the "thermonuclear" option in the absolute best sense. She is the therapist to see for those who are truly lost causes. She is burdened with the most severe cases yet she maintains such a bright disposition despite routinely dealing with the most intractable cases of patients with severe trauma. I owe her my life. Thank you Rehna for sticking with me and for encouraging me to be "the man in the ring."

It's wild to imagine that I've been a patient with Lighthouse now for more than a decade. They've stayed with me through thick and through thin. They've been patient with me when I made mistakes and never turned their back on me or cast me aside like so many other doctors. You can expect to be treated with respect and dignity. You and your loved ones will be supported, not only by the amazing staff but by the people who come to group and share their experience.
This place has none of the dogmatism of a twelve step group. I have nothing against 12 step but the "all or nothing" approach where you get chips and count days never worked for me. It's been a long slog but I've been in recovery now for 5 years going steady and I owe my thanks to the good people who run this place.
I think the community owes this establishment a huge debt. The stories you'll hear of the struggles of people from all walks of life during groups makes you realize that without a place like this, there would be a lot of funerals taking place. Addiction doesn't discriminate based on your socio economic status or skin color. You'll see people from every walk of life come together here to support one another. It's a beautiful thing.

Support is available to teens and adults including those with co-occurring mental health issues. Financial assistance is available for services at this facility for those eligibl | Treatments Programs Payment Options | My Therapist is Theresa Mikosz. She is amazing. I starting meeting with her at a very critical time in my life. She helped me through when it all. She is sensitive, to your concerns, listens, hears you, questions, understands and offer recommendations, to help improve your life. I highly recommend her. She will be retiring and I will miss her terribly. I think she is a professional that has mastered her craft! The APN I was assigned Sylvia Giron lacks all sensitivity. She was more interested in keeping me on anxiety mesds when my test results showed my anxiety had totally subsided. I will no longer see the APN Slyvia Giron as I should have discontinued seeing her after I requested an increase in dosage of my ADHD medication. Im a professional in corporate experiencing major trauma and she stated something to the effect that you are not going to sell these pills? Apparently Sylvia did not read my chart. A professional experiencing trauma. Why would I need to sell meds that I needed to take? Why would she make such an offensive statement to me? Because I was already experiencing so much trauma I only shared that statement with others. I felt Sylvia was interested in prescribing anxiety meds because as I got better and my anxiety subsided she still wanted me to take these pills. I rejected the script. She scolded me for stop taking the meds. Again Theresa Mikosz has been Amazing 👏 Thank you Theresa!

the psychiatrist i was seeing through ascension was alright. i decided to transfer care from her to a different ascension provider. while i think dr. raza is good at what she does, i think she lacks something. i had an appointment scheduled (a 1 month follow up) back in the beginning of january for 4:30pm. i received a call from a number i didn’t recognize the day before my appointment. i answered it and it was dr. raza. she was calling to ask me if i could meet earlier the same day for our appointment. i said yes and left work 30 minutes early to have privacy for the telehealth appointment. im aware me leaving work early is my own decision and im not upset that i lost that time of paid work. but the new time of our appointment came and went with no call or texts for checking in for the appointment. there have been times when dr. raza has left me waiting in the zoom waiting room and usually if she wouldn’t meet for the zoom she would call me. so i waited for a call from her and didn’t receive one. i called the number she called me from and it rang 3 or 4 times and then the line disconnected, or
whoever was on the other line picked up my call but then hung up. i’m not sure. around almost 2 hours later i received a call from one of the front desk receptionist asking if i met with dr. raza. the receptionist was very nice, all of the receptionist at this location are so friendly and helpful. she was just as confused as i was. this experience with dr. raza made me want to switch providers/transfer care. it’s not that i don’t think she’s competent because she is. it really just didn’t sit right with me how this whole situation went down. i have seen dr. raza since i started coming to ascension but there were other little things that happened that made me not want to continue care with her. every time i met with her she would ask the same questions, it felt very robotic at times. she would always ask if i see a therapist and i would always answer yes. my confusion from her asking me this is, isnt it in my chart/file that im seeing a therapist? especially since the therapist i see is in literally the same building as her? i understand too that i am not dr. raza’s only patient and i dont expect any provider to remember every little detail about their patients. it’s just that every appointment i had with her felt like it was a new patient appointment because she would ask me all the same questions every single time. i’m expressing a lot of empathy by saying that i have no idea how many patients dr. raza, or any ascension provider, sees on a daily basis, or what their typical case load is like. i can imagine it’s a lot to take on and a lot for one person to handle. to me, it just felt like there was a disconnect from me and my psychiatrist. and i’m not saying this was a terrible experience by any means, dr. raza is a good doctor. for me it just feels like i need someone new who can look at my case with maybe a new perspective. i haven’t seen my new provider yet but i hope she is able to help me as well.

I am so grateful for Nicasa and the incredible support I received from their team. With the guidance of my caseworker, Ms. Darlene, I was able to make real progress in my life. She not only encouraged me to continue my education, but also helped me get my driver’s license and supported me through the process of having my background expunged. Because of her kindness, professionalism, and dedication, I have been able to put my life back together in ways I never thought possible.
I also want to recognize her supervisor, Ms. Sindey, whose support and understanding made a huge difference. Both of them carry a genuine heart for the community and give their time, energy, and compassion to help families across Lake County.
What makes Nicasa so special is that they are not just another organization—they truly care. They spend countless hours serving people and making a positive impact. I have referred many friends and family to them, and they too have been blessed by the hard work and dedication of Ms. Darlene, Ms. Sindey, and the Nicasa team.
Thank you, Nicasa, for helping me rebuild my life and for all you continue to do for our community.

I would like to thank Claudia at CST Counseling and Consultation for her genuine help in guiding me to find the correct resource. I had called a few days ago seeking a service that this practice doesn't offer. Claudia was able to clarify what type of service I was looking for and provided at least 5 different referrals for places that do offer this service. CST was actually the 3rd place I called looking for this service. The other practices simply said they didn't offer it and that was that. I sensed a care here for clients that you can feel immediately when you talk to them. She could have said they don't offer the service like the others, but her willingness to find other places that do really touched me and sincerely helped me to find the right service. Thank you so much Claudia, and if I ever need therapy services, this is the place. God bless you and your practice and what you do for others!

The only people who leave bad reviews are the people who didnt want help or treatment. I LOVED IT HERE and they helped me so much with my abusive parents! I stayed here for 60+ days and honestly didn’t want to leave. I loved everyone that worked in the adolescent unit and hope they still work here!

I came here for the Adult IOP program after a recent stay at inpatient unit at a different hospital. I cannot say enough about how well this program is run and the people who run it. Dee and Cory are amazing at what they do . They have that perfect balance of understanding your thoughts and challenging your thoughts . Everyone is able to speak as much or as little as they want. The program is well structured and you can expect the same and clear expectations daily. A variety of activities and discussion groups from daily check ins to music and art therapy. Strongly reccommend this program if needed.
