I've been coming here for 4yrs. The counselors here are very compassionate and understanding. They treat you like a human being and not a write off of society. My only complaint is that whomever runs the place does not pay the employees enough. I can't even count how many of them have come and gone over the years.

Get ready for this might be lengthy. I have been a client for 2 years and I have mostly good things to say. I have had the same counselor the entire time and she is absolutely fantastic. There are some policies and procedures that I would change but then again that is not my expertise.
I was previously at Rose Medical for 2 years and comparatively speaking Peoria treatment center with his light years Beyond Rose Medical.
If You are in search of medication-assisted therapy then I would highly recommend using PTC. Dr George shattick is it a wonderful human being and he is always willing to work with you to determine what is your best course of action

After one year of being on a self pay recovery program where the Dr only cared about money and keeping patients on an extremely high dose to keep them addicted, I was referred to this program. I actually FEEL like a patient instead of a client and there's a HUGE difference between the two. My counselor, Dr, nurses, and the entire team all work together to help you achieve goals to be successful during recovery. Like any program, it only works if YOU want it to. You will only maintain sobriety if YOU want to. No one can force you to get sober, that's a decision you have to make for yourself. This place offers groups, job training, and other resources to make recovery as smooth as possible. Counselors check in with you on a monthly basis but are available for you every day the clinic is open. Wether you just need to talk or increase/decrease your dose your counselor is there to help. The Doctor is very kind and ethical when it comes down to doing what's best for you and your long-term recovery and success working your way through the program. All of the nurses and staff have become like a 2nd family to me, helping me with any andn everything I need. I've never had one bad experience on this program and I feel deeply cared for. If you are considering medical assisted detox/recovery I highly suggest giving Trillium on Rochelle a go! There is a wait list, however it's worth the wait and if you are pregnant I know they will expedite the process of getting you in as quickly as possible. I will soon be finished with the program and it's bittersweet as I've grown so close with everyone but I am extremely confident in maintaining my sobriety with all the tools and coping mechanisms I've learned this past year. In closing is like to thank my (2) favorite nurses (you know who you both are❤️) Doctor, my sweetheart counselor whom I will miss dearly, and my girl at the receptionist counter❤️ You all have played a pivotal role in the success of my recovery and rebuilding my life and each of you have a special place in my heart always. I 🙏🏾 this program continues to receive the funding it needs to stay active for years to come as it is an asset to the community, especially those who are looking for help to recover from whatever they may be struggling with. I am so grateful for such thoughtful providers. I have been in mental health treatment for anxiety and depression since I was 9 years old but never really felt like I’d gained much from therapy and medication. Insurance requirements meant that at 38, I’d be covered if I went to the Center for both my providers (therapy & medication). I am seeing Jodi for medication and Abby for therapy, and both are really great. Jodi listened really well and helped me sort my thoughts because I didn't even know where to begin. She explained to me that I’ve been battling undiagnosed ADHD, and as she explained further, suddenly the last 30 years of my life made much more sense. Treating my ADHD is resolving depression and anxiety, eliminating the need for medications and improving my overall well-being. I can’t be more thankful for them. Abby is the first therapist I’ve gone to who actively helps me challenge myself. Too many therapists just sit and validate without providing much external feedback. Abby does both - she’s validating but honest. Thank you so much!

Rude nuse carol, she is very unhelpful, not well educated about meds, gets angery and frustrated, Dr only comes in twice a week, actually she's on video, pushes clients through quickly, prescribed wrong meds, makes clients . more sick doesn't check med interactions probably doesn't care much. They all are paid through medicare, so this maybe why bridgeway is so poor in mental health care. Nurse can't call talk to the doctor if you have a problem with the meds, the nurse will not call the doctor, told to wait until next appointment that's a month later you don't know what to do feeling more depressed on the meds they put you on. But told to stay on them until next appointment. They tell you to call 911. They wait really until you have a crisis. Very poor inadequate actually damaging health care, shut it down, don't waste government money anymore on this place. Or someone of an higher authority make extreme improvements. I also left my counselor who yawned during my sesson she yawned with being tierd and I felt she was bored with me she yawned constantly

When I came to Symetria I was fairly depressed about my abuse of alcohol. I'll never forget the feeling that I had when I walked into gateway in Springfield il. I was in terrible condition. The moment I walked through the door I had an overwhelming feeling that I was going to be ok and I was just where I needed to be. Mr. James sits at the front door. He's the most polite, well mannered, welcoming, man I've ever met in my life. My heart was so happy to see him. Nicest man I've ever met. From there it just kept getting better. I met Josh Ronan. He truly cared about me. He made me feel like I belonged. I finally belong somewhere. And that is a feeling I can't describe. Then I met James on the men's unit. He is a thors hammer of a man. He was wonderful also. He made my heart happy. My counselor was Rhonda. She went above and beyond to help me with all my needs. I highly recommend gateway in Springfield il to any and all needing assistance. This place helped to save my life. They gave you all the tools you need to recover. Beyond thankful for the support, care, and attention given to my loved one in treatment. They supported and encouraged him through heavy loss and lasting grief. His counselors and support staff were excellent. Nothing matched the energy and care that is shown from the moment you enter the door by James at the first desk. This is a 5 star facility. The staff, the counselors, & the medical team made this the best experience of my life. I honestly don’t know how they do it. The addiction education and treatment is amazing. I’ve learned so much, this place has changed my entire outlook on life.
Shout out to employees TAYLOR, GENESIS, LINDSAY, JUSTINE, SHANIA, KARA. You guys are phenomenal. Please keep doing what you’re doing, you guys don’t get paid enough for the work you do. If you or a loved one are going through addiction, THIS IS THE ANSWER. they helped me with my physical health, mental health, and legal troubles. I would be in jail, or dead, without this place.

Paramo is a great person and educator! His professional evaluation of me proved that I didn't have addiction issues, but I am thankful that I was still required to take the classes. I didn't expect to learn as much as I did about alcohol and how easy it is to fall into a pattern of drinking that can lead to addiction. That knowledge is important and has made me more aware of unhealthy patterns. Also, he reminded us that if you plan to drink DO NOT drive. Have a designated driver. Also have the Lyft and Uber App installed on your phone ready to use, just in case your DD doesn't follow through with their sobriety. Thank you Paramo!

Everyone I've talked to at Sinnissippi has been friendly, kind, and helpful. My counselor and psychiatrist are especially wonderful and a huge help to me. I'm so grateful that this place exists and that I can finally get the help I've needed for so many years.

My dad was admitted to Riverside for hallucinations and memory concerns. The nurses, doctors, and other staff members did an amazing job with him. They kept in constant touch with me via phone calls or in person and were very thoughtful listeners when we asked questions. He stayed for about 10 days and he thought his stay was very beneficial. He was in the geriatric unit. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to other elderly people who are having similar concerns as my dad. Thank you, Riverside.

SPTC now MedMark has been a true blessing for me and my significant other. Every person has a different path in recovery and I’m truly blessed to have the support of all the staff (Lindsay, JoAnn, Jill, Darell, Blaine, Jen, and Laurel)on mine. I have gained something from each of them and know there is nothing that would make them second guess the part they play in my recovery.
