Soon as i walked in i was very comfortable.The staff there was very friendly they made me feel like I was at home. The lady at the front desk was funny and cute.The intake lady was also nice and very understanding.

I've been going for a year plus now. They're always trying to help, whether it's through suggestions or revisions to the help plan.

This place felt like a second home. Everyone was extremely friendly, willing to listen/give advice strategies, and seemed to know everything about anything I asked. It was exactly what I needed, and I appreciate these pepople so much.

My son has been in many recovery centers. This was the first one that he thought made a difference in his thinking. He appreciated the facilities, the running track outside, the food, the staff, and the counselors. I highly recommend.

I had a great experience here. More restrictive than other places, but if you're serious about recovery I think it's necessary. Staff was great even though they're short a counselor. Everybody there really cares about each and every person.

The entire Compass staff here, from the receptionists, nurses, treatment team and group therapists are truly some of the most caring, giving, compassionate, supportive and exceptionally intelligent & wonderful individuals I have ever had the privilege to meet and entrust my care to. I would recommend this center for anyone struggling with mental & emotional needs and need professional help and care. I will never forget this team and am forever grateful to them for the support and treatment I received during my healing journey here.

I'm an alcoholic, have been for years. I got treatment before I decided to give the Gateway, Iopc,a try. Im not religious and religion isnt pushed at GateWay Iopc, which is why i gave it a try. My Dr suggested it so I decided to do that treatment after my detox. Also my counselor Dan in the Joliet office is a great counselor. I, like most people are closed off when going thru this process. Eventually you will begin to open up when you see there is several other people dealing and going thru a similar situation as yourself. And believe me Im the most closed off person there is. You may not agree with all of it, as I didn't, but there are parts that's help. Everyone is dealing with something different and everyone is affected differently. Focus on yourself and don't let outside influences stop you from what you want.

It was a great group with great discussion. Very great counselor Dan K. that crafted a positive outlook on current situations and made it clear on how to handle things moving forward. And really made it fun!

Had a great experience at the Joliet facility for IOP.

If you are serious about getting mental help for mental disorders this is the place to go I've been seeing Kyle for about a month now and he is a really good counselor to take advice from I will continue to be coming back for my treatment and I look forward to sharing good stories with the counselor as the future goes on.

Would recommend them over Care Clinics any day— very nice and easy to schedule an appointment.

It took a little over a week for them to first get in touch, but genuine apology was expressed and it seemed like unique circumstances. The evaluation process with Shelley was along the lines of what I expected. Having given thorough histories for other reasons before, I did not find it to be overly invasive. Thorough, not overly time- consuming. Fact- focused, not judgmental. At the end of the evaluation, I was told it may take a week to hear anything. It took longer, but I've my attorney reached out to remind Tools For Life, the response was prompt. Can't give five stars yet because I am still waiting for the last phase of this process to be completed, but so far good people to work with.

Steve helped my daughter with the early intervention counseling program. He made the program relatable to her situation and really helped her understand the outside influences. She successfully completed the program and is still making the right choices and cutting people off that can effect her sobriety.

Ron has always been very helpful and pleasant. Will be taking more classes soon.

Great place to change your life

At first I was worried about privacy but they respected everything. Outpatient times worked well with my schedule caring for my parents. Staff was kind and helpful even when things got busy. Very grateful I found this place.

Angelika is one of the best psychologist in our area. Highly educated. Non judgemental. Great approach to therapy and couples counseling and so much more and she's bilingual which is great for bilingual partners. She's great at understanding American culture and traditions and Polish culture and traditions. Highly recommend!

Business of promotion, not attraction. I worked here for about 6 months, and it turns out the supervisor (Molly) I was going to use was a snitch every time you shared concerns. In my first family session, the couple loved how the session went and gave me good feedback. The next day, I got called into the main boss's office for her (Jamie) to tell me I would not be conducting my sessions the way I did. She handed me a script and said this is what the sessions should be like. After reading the Heartland script, all I was going to be doing was promoting their business in session. The same week they made me sit next to a co-worker as I watched her conduct the session, and she did nothing but talk about Heartland's mission. The couple didn't even get a chance to speak about their problems. I quit that same week. They need to learn how to decipher their rehab from their therapy. Place is not meant for counselors wanting to practice skills learned in school. 🤢🤮

Heartland Wellness Center staff and programming should be famous. They genuinely save individual lives and rescue families. Heartland envelopes clients with individualized treatment, from clinical staff to case management, and beyond. Heartland staff is professional and diverse. Their programming is truly unique. As a grateful client, I highly recommend this amazing organization. They believed in me until I could believe in myself.

Just took my 13 year old daughter there. Thought it was appendicitis. Turns out just constipation. All the staff was great in and out in an hour. Very professional. I’m thankful for there care.

Used to think highly of this place, had a few really good people that cared about the those coming in for help and caring about what they do. I stopped my services a while back when my counselor retired and received a letter by Lisa H. saying they'd be willing to provide psychiatric services without counseling and to give a call. Considering it was her second letter to me, I felt touched and reached out this morning. Called the number on the paper and Kristy told me "we don't have a psychiatrist and we only do counseling. If you want to see a psychiatrist, you have to do counseling for a while first. So do ya want to make an appointment for counsel or not? Can't do psychiatrist" Don't tell me you're going to provide a service just to revoke it last minute. Update: I've been going through the therapy service for several months now and they refuse to let me see a psychiatrist nor do telehealth. After not receiving a callback yet again, I've stopped my service and I recommend going elsewhere if you want quality therapy and a continuation on your medications
