What an awesome experience! The uncertainty I felt walking through those doors the first time quickly evaporated. My counselor was great, patient, open, understanding, honest, were a few things about her that made my experience fruitful. The knowledge I obtained was/ is invaluable. I have been here with a family member on a handful of occasions and they have received excellent care each time. I just spent 2 days at finely hospital in Dubuque. Started in ER then 5 med surge.It was very busy,they did there best to get me in a room.The whole staff was awesome,I am kind of in the buisness,I've been working for Paramount Ambulance co for 13 years.It was weird being a patient, I was and am very scared of what's gonna happen to me now.They found cancer in my stomach area,they took biopsies. Gonna have to wait on results, the waiting is hard.Overall Dr Bailey is a prince,nurse Shellby is a credit to the profession. I hope the rest of my journey will be ass nice.

They probably don’t know it but they taught me valuable life advice I would never get from anyone else. I really respect the amount of effort and time they clearly put into giving clients amazing group sessions.

I recently completed my stay at this rehab facility, and I truly can't say enough good things about it. From the moment I arrived, I felt supported, respected, and genuinely cared for. The staff is absolutely incredible—so kind, compassionate, and attentive. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels seen and heard.
The kitchen staff deserves a special shoutout too. You can tell they genuinely care about what they’re doing, and the meals reflect that care and attention.
What really sets this place apart is the culture. It’s positive, respectful, and empowering. Melissa, who leads the facility, has created an environment where residents are treated like adults. She trusts people to make the right choices and supports them along the way, which makes all the difference. That trust and mutual respect create a space that’s not only healing but also enjoyable and even fun.
I’m so grateful for my time here. It truly helped me grow and heal in ways I didn’t expect. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place that feels safe, supportive, and genuine.

Wood Violet by far exceeded my expectations. I have been to another Sunshine facility in the past, but WVR surpassed that experience by leaps and bounds. I admitted on January 2nd and they had only been accepting clients for about 45 days or so.
Even though they were "new," the staff and facility operated as if they had been open for years. I cannot stress enough the personal feel you get as a client at WVR. Their customer service was awesome.
I hope I never have to return, but if I do WVR will be the place I head to!

The receptionist (Kathy I believe) is such a sweet lady!! I enjoyed talking with her while I was checking in and she was extremely helpful. My counselor was Sheila and she was also very enjoyable to speak to and extremely empathetic. She gets straight to the point but is also a great conversationalist in between. Both Sheila and Kathy were helpful in ensuring I could create a schedule that worked for me. I called Thursday and had an appointment by Friday morning. I was very nervous at first, but felt welcome and comfortable by the end. I highly recommend choosing ASAC.

Excellent professional service, AFFORDABLE evaluation price, great staff, next day appointment, unbiased assesment, and much more offered at this location. The counselor, Jack Phillips, evaluated me on 1/15/2019. We talked for about an hour and he DID NOT recommend additional treatment or classes. He was attentive and listened to what I was saying about what and why I was ordered for an evaluation. $$$$ WAS NOT his motive; an accurate assessment was his focus. Jack thanks again for the job recommendations and I appreciate your services. Ashleigh (the receptionist) was VERY helpful!!! She gave me plenty of copies of the evaluation assesment, and even faxed proof of the evaluation to the concerning parties. I recently completed alcohol classes here and the counselor was great and really cared about what I was going through with court, my license, and my recovery. I have been through other treatment at other places and this counselor went above and beyond. I highly recommend her and this facility.
