I had an echo congenital resting Today very early In the morning (I am not a morning person lol) I get nervous going to appointments sometimes because I get called the wrong name or just don’t have the best people working with me sometimes. You win and you lose with healthcare workers I feel like. Which is completely normal But the person doing my echo her name was Brittany. She was seriously the nicest and one of the best ultrasound techs I’ve ever had (I think that’s what you call it) haha I’ve been getting an ultrasound since I was literally born because I have a heart condition, so that says a lot! I’ve had mannyyyy done. She was super friendly and we seriously talked the whole time. I never even knew you were allowed to talk during those because whenever I got them done they never have really ever talked to me or anything but she was seriously the best! You can tell she loved her job and was very good at it!:) Great experience!!

I don't know why there are so many negative reviews. Please note that the hospital has been under construction for the past year and is still undergoing construction, renovation, and expansion of the ER area. As a result, there may be some discomfort when trying to secure a room if you are admitted. Be patient and considerate during this time. The staff is doing everything possible to make your stay as comfortable as they can, given their resources and availability. Please remember that this is a hospital, not a 5-star hotel, so I encourage everyone to be considerate and not overly demanding. I recently had the privilege of being treated at Lake Forest Hospital, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, Doctors, nurses, and technicians demonstrated an incredible level of professionalism and genuine care that immediately put me at ease. Throughout my time in the hospital, Doctors took the time to explain every step of my treatment plan in detail, ensuring that I understood what to expect and answering all my questions with patience and kindness. The NM Lake Forest Hospital team's dedication to my recovery was inspiring and helpful during my stay. So, thank you for everything you do!

My wife delivered our second baby here. From the beginning until we leave the hospital we didn't see any negligence. Nurses , doctor and staff were nice. Food was great. It was a normal delivery and we left the hospital with great experience. Definitely recommend!

Hi, My name is Brittany woodruff, my personal experience with Nicasa has been a true blessing. I came to Nicasa in 2022, me and my children were homeless. I had just gave birth to a Beautiful baby girl!!! In the time of our homelessness, the shelter we were staying at refered me to them!! I called them and made appointment. When the time came I went to the appointment and they were so sweet, understanding, and very resourceful!!!. I was amazed, and happy!!! First off, it's a blessing itself to have a facility FREE OF CHARGE!!! They help step by step, to get your life in order and back together again!!!♥️ Nicasa has truly been a blessing to us, and always will be!!! We are still with them still this day!!! Ms. Cindy is 1 of the few and rare woman I have ever met. This woman was a Huge BLESSING!!!! THE THINGS SHE DID FOR ME WAS RARE!!! SHE WOULD GO OUT IF HER WAY, TO MAKE SURE I WAS MAKING IT TO MY APPOINTMENTS, AND ALSO A SUPPORT TO ME EMOTIONALLY AND MENTALLY!!! I am so grateful for Nicasa and the incredible support I received from their team. With the guidance of my caseworker, Ms. Darlene, I was able to make real progress in my life. She not only encouraged me to continue my education, but also helped me get my driver’s license and supported me through the process of having my background expunged. Because of her kindness, professionalism, and dedication, I have been able to put my life back together in ways I never thought possible. I also want to recognize her supervisor, Ms. Sindey, whose support and understanding made a huge difference. Both of them carry a genuine heart for the community and give their time, energy, and compassion to help families across Lake County. What makes Nicasa so special is that they are not just another organization—they truly care. They spend countless hours serving people and making a positive impact. I did my parenting classes at Nicasa North Chicago and the people there are really nice and willing to help. Gloria Gomez led the classes and she always positive and listened to everyone. I like how they are really trying to help others….

Kim and Melonie are the most welcoming , kind hearted, caring individuals. I never once feel judged and as an addict I’m used to being treated so. But not here. I’m treated like the human being I am and with respect. They really do the most to make the environment a more welcoming enjoyable experience. When I first came here I was broken and lost in addiction just trying to look for a way out and this place really helped me get on the right path. Recovery is possible and keep going!!!

They make sure your all set up & don’t need any other resources also. My counselor Chris is unbelievable! First counselor I’ve had that can relate & I actually want to talk & open up. Such a fresh of breath air there, it gives ya hope for once. Thank you guys for everything you guys do🩷

Angelika is one of the best psychologist in our area. Highly educated. Non judgemental. Great approach to therapy and couples counseling and so much more and she's bilingual which is great for bilingual partners. She's great at understanding American culture and traditions and Polish culture and traditions. Highly recommend!

Mather's Recovery has been the best place I have been to concerning my OUD and other mental health diagnoses. I am a recovering IV heroin addict for 10 years. My sobriety began 8/5/2021. I was at several MAT clinics to be prescribed methadone that I ended up abusing alongside heroin to supplement my habit for those 10 years. I had a very rough decade as I am sure many of us have while using. I overdosed more times than I could count and was in and out of jail for drugs and theft. I finally got sick and tired of using especially when fentanyl hit the streets along with unknown substances being passed off as heroin. I began detoxing for 6 months to get off of methadone and switch to suboxone which I did albeit I went into PAWS for using fentanyl before my first strip. This was before Mather's at my PCP's office more than 50 miles away. My PCP was extremely cold, impatient and quick to invalidate my feelings and experiences. That's when my wife found Mather's Recovery in Fox Lake. From the moment I walked in I had felt seen. The front desk women are so incredibly kind! It also doesn't look like your typical "clinic " which feels really good. I don't have to worry about hearing people talk about using still or offering me their take homes/drugs. Lorin was assigned to me and she is hands down the most down to earth, genuine person I have ever met during this journey. She makes me feel seen, validated and treats me like an actual human being. I switched from Suboxone to Brixadi and it was the best thing I have done for my sobriety so far. The nurses are so funny and I always leave feeling like I just visited caring friends. Lorin also listened to my struggles with mental health and did not hesitate prescribing me medication that other doctors did not trust me with even though I was sober and those meds were so necessary for my continued stability. I did not have to feel like I had to keep my struggles a secret out of fear of looking like a drug seeker. I have also been struggling with my severe unmanaged ADHD that was proving to be a huge obstacle in my life. Lorin heard my story and changed my life. I have been able to manage my symptoms and get a grip on life which once proved to once be an impossible task. It changed the way my employers and coworkers treat me. Most importantly it saved my 15 year relationship with my wife. I was on the brink of a separation with her. Now she and I have been more understanding of each other and slowly growing closer again. This is my testimony of how Mather's Recovery helped me regain control of my life. I couldn't be more thankful for everyone there. I have been receiving counseling from Meghann Richko for 5 years now. Meghann has helped me in countless ways. She really listens to my needs and helps me target what areas I need/want to work on. Meghann has helped me through periods of deep grief and confusion. She has provided a safe space for me to feel heard without bias. I would highly recommend Meghann to anyone looking for an experienced and kind counselor that makes therapy a light and meaningful experience.

Dr Mari’s practice offers such a unique and supportive environment for their patients. You can feel the warmth and commitment from the whole team- these providers are passionate about the work they do and go out of their way to provide integrative support. The combination of offering many modalities and the very human approach to caring for their clients makes this practice such a special place.

I had a meeting with Patrick and got a grand tour of the place after doing my interview. Even though I haven't stayed there yet the place was clean and ran well. The guys looked happy and said some good things about the place in the halls. My overall impression of Bonaventure was very good!

I've been in therapy for a total of 43 years, 10 of which have been with Kenneth Young. I've only had 2 different therapists and would have kept the first one, however she moved into private practice. I am working with Alyssa now and she has been kind compassionate and great, I adore her. Over the decades and for 15 years I went all the way to Evanston to see a psychiatrist. I loved her and I thought we were getting someplace. The second to the last meeting she dumped a statement, on me of her facts and told me, "I thought you knew." I was stunned, bewildered and beyond disappointed. There is no cure for what I have, no pills only therapy. I read every book on it before our next meeting. I imagined all week, who could I have become, had I known. I went one more time, kissed & hugged her good-bye and knew I would never, ever see her again, and I haven't. She never followed up with me anymore either. I was then lucky enough to find Rebecca, who went into private practice, which is when I was blessed enough to get Alyssa. I have tried the group therapy as well. I haven't seen a psychiatrist for over 23 years now, and don't miss them at all. It is terribly hard to find a person you interact well with and at times it can be exhausting, therapy isn't easy, it also is not for the timid or weak. I have seen by every family member who has never had therapy, nor believes in it, and then I have a point of comparison. I no longer act like them and truly see my growth. I am not the man I used to be, but each day I strive to keep on being a better me, than the day before. I am beyond grateful for all the therapists and psychiatrists over the years, but especially to Kenneth Young!

Front Desk Staff, My Therapist and Psychiatrist are ALL Amazing!

I don’t understand the bad reviews. I had a productive and helpful time. I’m introverted and still made long lasting sober friends.

I was here in December 2019. This place deserves better reviews. It’s clean, productive, and the food decent. I was introduced to mindfulness and meditation before bed. They have a beautiful room with lighting that hangs over you. At night, everyone goes to the reflection room and engage in mindfulness. I’ll never forget looking up at those lights while a counselor guided me through meditation. It made for a very peaceful memory. I will say they lock your personal bathroom during the day to keep you social and out of your room. There is a public restroom that’s always on top shape that everyone uses during the day. These place helped me maintain my sobriety and gave me the meds and tools I needed to stay healthy.

It’s kinda shocking to me this place has such low reviews. I was here last December 2022 and this place saved my life. I will be a year sober in December. It was my first time ever in a residential program and I was beyond scared and almost backed out multiple times, but staying here completely changed my life. I failed every single time I had tried to get sober until I came here. The techs are all great for the most part and really left an impact on me. The ones who stuck out to me the most were Jay, Dustin, and Jilani. Very compassionate people who actually do care. The therapists are also good. I did however come here over other places because I also deal with mental health issues and thought this was a dual program for mental health and substance abuse and the mental health aspect definitely lacked. So don’t come here if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s mainly a substance abuse program in my opinion. But other than that I really do have nothing negative to say. My life has completely changed around in a year and I’ll forever be grateful for my time spent here and would do it all over again but hopefully never will lol

Wow do they move quick here. In my time there, all appointments were taken on time and efficiently. The front desk is incredibly respectful and encouraging.

Dr. Wolfman is outstanding. The staff is great. I had an appointment and there was no waiting to see the doctor. Everything was great.

Needing your help is demanding, so I know they are there. My issue is my inability to reach out and get help. This is difficult at best but, this staff is willing and able to help. Reach out.

They are a great resource and very caring staff. Call them with your concerns and they respond. Mark Phister is an amazing biologist and person who has helped me in many occasions and is a great resource. During COVID they were amazing. They administered covid shots to thousands in an efficient and well run system at the fairgrounds. Great people who really care about your health, the county and globally conscious also!! This program is a 10 hands down..I will be 42 in June I wandered into the youth outreach on a cold day in 1990, everything seemed so hope-less for me my family had been severed and your services inspired me after being trafficked to start an outreach program in Hampshire! So grateful for this community resource! Came as a walk-in and was seen within 40 minutes. All the staff were thorough and easy to talk to. The facility was clean and seemed to be run well. So glad this is here.
