A better life. Better relationships. A comfort with myself that I didn't know was possible being sober/drug free. A desire to participate in society as a functioning human being! These were all things that did not exist less than a year ago but do now. But if I didn't make the decision that I wanted things to change the moment I walked in the door, then I'm almost certain that I would not be here today. ECS never lied to me or sugarcoated my problems. They never mistreated me. They simply expected me to respect my peers and the staff just as they did to me the moment I walked through the door. And I thank God I did! Some of us just simply aren't ready. And when that's the case we find them unable to accept accountability and work hard to change. I did find it hilarious how one of the "negative" reviews unintentionally said something positive by saying "these reviews are by people who work here" By saying that he admitted just one more way that Dr. Sharma helps us out! (I have never worked at ECS but I read through them all. And out of the 100 plus reviews only a handful are from employees but their voice counts just as much, if not more). But it is very cool that some people go through ECS and then are trusted enough to be employed by the very people who know their darkest days. Kudos ECS! Well at the lowest point in my 42yrs of existence on this Earth. I found myself at Chicago Behavioral Hospital. And after being dazed and confused for the first four days in detox - I came to the realization that I was broken mentally, physically and spiritually. I was offered help and got connected with what I now know - is one of the best things that's happened to me. They connected me with Existential Counselors Society (ECS). I've never been to a treatment center in my life as a client. In the past as a member of A.A. I brought meetings to clients at other treatment centers. But this place is different it's truly special; it has opened up my mind to another approach on how to deal with my alcoholism. They speak my "language" what comes from the heart reaches the heart and I finally picked up that last missing piece of the puzzle to understand and deal with my alcoholism. From Doc, Justin, Brian, staff and all the counselors - especially the counselor that was assigned to me are all phenomenal. I believe God deliberately placed them in my path so I can truly come to grips with reality and gave me information so I can make good and informed decisions - direct them towards positive actions in my life. They rarely pass your message to your Dr. They are very disrespectful. I just called the answering service a few minutes ago. I have terrible insomnia and I've been awake for 3 days. I'm hallucinating because I have been up for so long. At first she was not going to contact my doctor because she said they don't do psychiatry after hours.. what is that? Then I told her that I have been awake for 3 days and I am starting to hallucinate and she said hold on came back two minutes later and said you know what just call back at 8:30 in the morning that's all I can do for you. The stay staff all are hand picked the greatest. Counselors are all one of a kind especially if u get Mrs cora ball of energy and Elijah motivation that and others do care or Steve called my probation officer and help you get off probation concerned checking in on me the staff there want to see everyone who there that it possible to overcome anything we may have faced let it go and don't give up on our selves . Rated the 100 miss my fgc family even pres me prince understanding and encouraging nurses are the best ever also. What sets this place apart is the incredible human connection. The staff, counselors, and medical team treat you with unwavering respect, dignity, and empathy from day one. In my darkest moments, when I couldn't see a way forward, they held the belief in my recovery until I was strong enough to hold it for myself. Their personalized, compassionate approach made me feel safe, heard, and truly understood rather than just another case file. I am writing this with a profound sense of peace and a clear mind that I haven't experienced in years. Saying "thank you" feels far too small for what they have done for me—they truly saved my life, and I will be forever grateful for this second chance. If you or someone you love is struggling, please know that healing is possible, and this is the place to find it. With that being said, It's unsettling to read some of these negative reviews knowing that they are the farthest thing from the truth. Unfortunately it's all too common a trait for someone like myself - to make everything else the problem except me. It's sad to know that these people leaving bad reviews didn't give themselves a chance by accepting what is so simply laid out in front of you the moment you walk through the doors of ECS ~ A WAY OUT! A better life. Better relationships. A comfort with myself that I didn't know was possible being sober/drug free. A desire to participate in society as a functioning human being! These were all things that did not exist less than a year ago but do now. But if I didn't make the decision that I wanted things to change the moment I walked in the door, then I'm almost certain that I would not be here today. ECS never lied to me or sugarcoated my problems. They never mistreated me. They simply expected me to respect my peers and the staff just as they did to me the moment I walked through the door. And I thank God I did! Some of us just simply aren't ready. And when that's the case we find them unable to accept accountability and work hard to change. I did find it hilarious how one of the "negative" reviews unintentionally said something positive by saying "these reviews are by people who work here" By saying that he admitted just one more way that Dr. Sharma helps us out! (I have never worked at ECS but I read through them all. And out of the 100 plus reviews only a handful are from employees but their voice counts just as much, if not more). But it is very cool that some people go through ECS and then are trusted enough to be employed by the very people who know their darkest days. Kudos ECS!

Where to start with ECS. Well at the lowest point in my 42yrs of existence on this Earth. I found myself at Chicago Behavioral Hospital. And after being dazed and confused for the first four days in detox - I came to the realization that I was broken mentally, physically and spiritually. I was offered help and got connected with what I now know - is one of the best things that's happened to me. They connected me with Existential Counselors Society (ECS). I've never been to a treatment center in my life as a client. In the past as a member of A.A. I brought meetings to clients at other treatment centers. But this place is different it's truly special; it has opened up my mind to another approach on how to deal with my alcoholism. They speak my "language" what comes from the heart reaches the heart and I finally picked up that last missing piece of the puzzle to understand and deal with my alcoholism. From Doc, Justin, Brian, staff and all the counselors - especially the counselor that was assigned to me are all phenomenal. I believe God deliberately placed them in my path so I can truly come to grips with reality and gave me information so I can make good and informed decisions - direct them towards positive actions in my life. When you're ready to stop and stay stopped this is your place to go. (Be a Nike commercial and "Just Do It.")

I have been seeing my psychiatrist there for 3 years. Dr. Godbolt is great! She takes her time and has given me a new hope on life. NOW, The after hours answering service is another story! They rarely pass your message to your Dr. They are very disrespectful. I just called the answering service a few minutes ago. I have terrible insomnia and I've been awake for 3 days. I'm hallucinating because I have been up for so long. At first she was not going to contact my doctor because she said they don't do psychiatry after hours.. what is that? Then I told her that I have been awake for 3 days and I am starting to hallucinate and she said hold on came back two minutes later and said you know what just call back at 8:30 in the morning that's all I can do for you. Something just doesn't seem right there

I have been going there for 7 years. This place literally saved my life. They are very understanding and work with you on many levels. But recently it's a problem with the insurance they say I have to pay $20 weekly because my insurance didn't pay but they have not given me proof of the months not paid I have my proof. But yet I have to wait and see there proof it's been almost 30 days now I have been paying that's not legal and on top of that they have billed 2 of my insurance

I went to Silver Cross to have an ENT procedure done by Dr. Matthew Bartindale. The care I received from the moment I walked into the hospital was outstanding. I had excellent nurses who were very kind and truly care, an outstanding OPS team that came into my pre-op room, introduced themselves, and walked me through everything before taking me back. Riverside is the best medical mental health facility I have ever stayed in in my life. My mother was beaten real bad and I was traumatized very bad. I slept in the bathroom and they were very patient with me. I learned a lot of coping skills with my mental health as well as skills that I still use today. The outpatient team was awesome and if I could put an awareness on people on the staff that were there when I was there. . My dad was admitted to Riverside for hallucinations and memory concerns. The nurses, doctors, and other staff members did an amazing job with him. They kept in constant touch with me via phone calls or in person and were very thoughtful listeners when we asked questions. He stayed for about 10 days and he thought his stay was very beneficial. He was in the geriatric unit. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to other elderly people who are having similar concerns as my dad. Thank you, Riverside.

I had my first experience/interaction with Access Health and its team this week and I came away very impressed. The staff were friendly, helpful, informative and knowledgeable. Karen Haney in particular was excellent to deal with. She was very kind and helped me feel seen and at ease under very difficult personal circumstances. I appreciate the staff at Access’s Chicago Heights office and recommend them highly.

I'm honestly impressed by how quickly the staff set me up for an initial visit with a primary care Dr. I was already enrolled in the system and have been to other VAs, so that certainly helps. I was in and out within 20 minutes.
