When I came to Symetria I was fairly depressed about my abuse of alcohol. I knew it wasn’t who I truly was and I needed the help to recognize positive ways to help me identify what I was doing that put me into a downward cycle of binge drinking. Through the Intensive Outpatient program coupled with Individual counseling and attending SMART meetings I discovered a clear path to follow to stop what I was doing and move forward in life without alcohol. I’m proud to say I’m coming up on 4 months completely alcohol free and it feels amazing! The staff at Symetria absolutely cares about each individual’s success and they put the person first. The Staff at Symetria Recovery ( Deborah, Anna , Maria, Elsa , etc..) all treat their patients like family. They are all so Caring, Loving and Supportive. That makes the road to recovery that much easier. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone thats struggling with any kind of substance abuse.

I just completed the 28 day program and the staff and everyone there were great people and the food was also very good they are going through allot of remodeling and things we're a little hectic which is understandable but other than that it was a life changing experience

This place is very clean and the people were very professional and pleasant. Once I arrived for my appointment I was in there saw the doctor we talked he answered all my questions and explained to me the things that were happening to me before I told him about it. He was on it, he knows his job well this is my own clinic from now on.

I see a lot of negative reviews on here and my experience might have been different due to my age (late 30s). I wanted to be at TK. I didn't have someone make the decision for me, although my husband was very supportive.
Out of all the staff, there were only 2 I didn't like. Not that they were bad, just a clash with our personalities.
I have epilepsy, it's chronic and active. I had to go home to have surgery (a replacement battery for the device that helps control my seizures). I was gone for about 36 hours. The staff was great with my seizures and with my surgery.
I thought I was going to need to go back when my husband passed away, but I made it through. A lot of that I can credit TK with for giving me the tools to work with.
The only problem I really had was leaving. Leaving was terrifying because that safety net just vanished. That is one thing I think the staff needs to prepare you a bit better for.
I've been healthy since leaving. Sure, I still get the feelings/urges on occasion but I created my own safety net. I can control the urges. I'm actually rather proud of myself.
PS - If any of the former staff ever reads this "Meany Mo-Mo" you know who you are. Thank you, for all you did. Your patience, your help, and just being there when I needed it. You literally are the best. <3

Let me just say I was a patient at Medmark for years and above everything no matter what because they open at 4:45 AM says it all. They generally want to meet everyday people’s needs to live a normal life.In and out the door before 5am to do what you need to do w your life. Try and find another clinic that does that for you. You won’t. Working men and women this your clinic. Just no weed. Sorry.

I do not typically do these reviews however I felt very strongly I needed to. I have been in the program for over 7 years. The program honestly saved my life after trying several other things. My addiction became like most had back problems and my doctors were very free to prescribe the opioids and benzodiazepines. Xanax was actually the worst for me hospitalized for over 10 days due to all the seizures. Anyways the nurses Yolanda Jackie Val are sweethearts and have never judged me once. Yolanda is the one person who always tells me she is proud of me I don’t even hear that from family. Kim who runs front desk is also great. In my experience I have had around 6 counselors and sorry to say this is the downfall here. I don’t know if they are overworked micromanaged or just don’t care but I have had to go elsewhere for my counseling. I have promise for my new counselor April who is new to this location. Since starting she has been on top on my case not letting anything slide. She gets accomplished what the 5 others took months to do and I appreciate that. Non judgmental follow-up and just caring she accomplishes where most can’t and this is what keeps me clean and alive and I thank her for that more than I can say. Doctor is a different story for a different day I will just say to the women ask that a third person be in the room. That’s all!

After 10 years of battling addiction to various drugs I went to ECS for 28 days of rehab. It was a life changing experience that started on 11/29/2018. I have been in recovery for nearly 2 years now. I’ve become close with my family and opened a personal training business helping men in rehab and employing men in recovery. I have also gotten my position as a general foreman back at my regular Job as well as my freedom in my life and am a better man than I have ever been thanks to the counselors, staff and Dr Sharma at ECS.
A 6 year sober and in recovery update. I am now making over a quarter million a year with a Fortune 500 company, have kids who love and respect me again, 2 homes in 2 states, real friendships and a life beyond my wildest dreams. My son has been struggling for years and has been to several rehabs. Some bad some great. He's currently at this one and I have seen such a huge difference in him! He is making healthy plans for the future and is full of hope again! He loves that they get to go outside for basketball and the other clients act like family. I like that it's separated with men on one unit and ladies on the other. Having been through treatments myself, I know this is crucial. I love this lil gem that's been a Godsend in my life. I never knew this Dr's ofc was inside as I drove many times past. The Dr's are phenomenal & the therapists are excellent. I have personally referred 3 friends to ICFR, in addition to numerous participants that come to us for help. What puts ICFR above others in the treatment arena is the time they spend unraveling the "why's" that lead to the misuse of substances. Without getting to the trauma, what lead you to escapism, long term success is limited. ICFR takes the time to explore the why's, and for me, as a person in recovery who didn't really get better without extensive trauma therapy, I know this to be true.

Had my baby four months ago at Hinsdale hospital! Everyone was so nice and helpful!! Had a great experience expect when the doctor that delivers the epidural came in. She was so rude expecting to for me to know right off the bat what to do. This was my first baby I had no clue. Very rude made me feel bad. Did not like her at all. Besides that everyone else was wonderful! Especially one of my night nurses during labor and delivery! I believe her name is Lexi! She was amazing loved her so much!

If i could give 1000 stars i would! I couldn't recommend symetria enough. Everyone there is absolutely AMAZING! From the front staff (esp Ms Shuranda who keeps everything running smoothly), to the wonderful counselors, the medical directors (shout out to Ms Cynthia), my knowledgeable counselor Ms Beth, the beautiful nurses aka angels in scrubs (Kat, Gizelle and Mel).. you are surrounded by nothing but complete love, support and understanding. There is never a moment you feel judged or unsupported. Everyone has been there for me in more ways than I can count and if it wasn't for the staff I don't think I would be where I am today. You aren't treated like a number or just another patient. You are treated like FAMILY! I cannot say enough amazing things about this office. I have seen 3 doctors and now currently see Emily Jensen NP. All have been wonderful and actually care about getting to the root cause. The reason for my review is actually for someone from their administrative team. I had an issue this week and Barbara went way above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of. I have never had a negative experience with this office! Thank you to the entire team!

I had never been to rehab before. I told Myself I would be able to get Myself better by Myself. It doesn't work that way. I went to Branden House and they helped me so much more than I thought I needed. It's hard at first... Discipline and withdrawal. I had a hard time everyday at first trying to not cry but they all welcomed my healing tears. I feel so much better about society today knowing that there is places like this with caring people out there for struggling people such as myself. God bless Branden House.

I know it can feel overwhelming to have to go through these classes, but the staff make it doable. They are so welcoming and kind. They make you feel heard and appreciated not just another number. If you have to go through classes I would definitely recommend coming here.
