About 5years ago I went here and didn't have the greatest experience..but today I had to visit the Albion office for an appointment for my daughter. And they have come up a long way from my bad experience 5 years ago. The staff was so friendly and helpful even had a couple good laughs. So thank you.

I have been going to this facility for many years. I honestly don't know what I would do without them (front desk & NP)! I have taken meds since 1990 so been a few places. Just be upfront and follow through!

Honestly, half these reviews are exaggerating OR are describing how things use to be yearsss ago at the clinic.. There are cameras, they have been in place for; a year or so maybe-giveORtake; So outside issues have pretty much subsided. Now, the people sitting in their cars while people "hold their spots" IS something a few certain individuals do, but certainly BHG have been and will be addressing those issues as well from their camera footage.!? And last but not least THEIR ARE 4 NURSES NOW 👏 YAAAYY Usually 4windows open! Barely a wait in the last 2 months at least.

Overall, this place really does a lot right. The staff works hard, things run smoothly and you can tell there are people here who genuinely care about what they’re doing. Huge shoutout to Michelle (aka the real MVP / PD) for keeping things together. It does not go unnoticed. That said…the parking lot is currently giving “extreme sports obstacle course.” The potholes are not subtle. You don’t just park here, you navigate it. If you hear a loud thud on your way in, just know it’s not construction, it’s your suspension filing a complaint. Fix the potholes and this place would be pretty close to perfect. Until then, consider it part of the full experience — just drive in like you value your tires.

As someone who recently was discharged from the hospital, this is by far the best facility I’ve been to. I like the fact that you have to wear scrubs. So you don’t have to worry about having someone drop off clothes. The nurses and tech are super helpful and friendly. Their food is better than most hospital foods. They offer helpful groups which was one thing I liked. Because other facilities the groups are not reliable. These groups are almost DBT related. The doctors listen and won’t discharge you unless the doctor thinks you’re ready.

The entire vibe is great and safe, the front desk staff are angels, and both my psychiatrist (Leah Sands) and therapist (Amber Gibson) have been very respectful, intelligent, and very good listeners. I can't wait to continue my healing journey. (9/9/26) I love Bowen Health. My main therapist Amber Gibson continues to help me heal and become the best person I can be. My other psychiatrists and therapists stop at nothing to see that I get the help- we all deserve to have in our time of need. The vibe continues to be great, safe, and the front desk staff continues to be the angels they are. Shortly after my first review I had to call the Bowen Health Crisis service line and was treated with compassion, patience, and love. The man on the phone sat with me for an hour and set up a plan- and a backup plan with me. I felt seen and supported. I have switched to the Genoa pharmacy located in the building and they went above and beyond to help me get my medication sorted out. I'd give them all 10/10 stars and a raise if I could.

Ive been going here for years and I always, always have a positive experience! Sharron is so kind (a bit intimidating in the beginning, but once you get to know her shes very caring) and is always on top of medications, ready to listen to anything Im struggling with and has never made me feel badly for needing to switch medications (which Ive done several times)! She literally looks at anything and everything to make sure that all the bases are covered on my health. Its very easy to access my information on the online patient portal that they use too. Very happy with them and always reccomend them to friends and family!

I took the time to read some of the reviews and decided that I would leave my own. Kay is a wonderful person, compassionate and understanding. Yes she can be vary strong and opinionated. I will say that she told me a truth I wasn’t willing to accept, she pointed out the obvious thar I couldn’t see. Self can’t see self when I am caught up into what I want out of life ( relationships money social status) I like to use the term, my wiener, my wallet, my place in the pack. Whenever my basic instinct are harmed or threatened, I react poorly. I went into Kay’s office over 20 years ago, trying to fix relationship prior to getting married thank God I never married that woman. I also had alcoholism and addiction that I really didn’t recognize. Thanks to case direction. I found my way to a 12 step program which saved my life, improved my relationships, and escalated my career path. This woman treated me when I didn’t have the money for treatment. She wrote it off. She basically sat down with me on her own dime to help me and she didn’t even know me really. If you don’t know what that is, it’s called compassion, caring, and giving pretty much the opposite of some of the poor reviews. I’ve read. I’m not on here to defend her. I’m on here to say that if this is where God has brought you to, then maybe you should listen because you never know who’s carrying in the message you need to hear. I am forever grateful to wise choices and the effort she put into my life when I couldn’t even pay for those efforts that’s called being a selfless (unselfish) altruistic individual. If you’re in a toxic relationship, she’s gonna let you know that because you’re not paying her to lie to you and cuddle you you’re paying her to give you a truth. You’re not willing to see and that is true for any good counselor therapist psychiatrist. Highly recommend wise choices because of the woman she is, not afraid to hurt your feelings. And if you’re seeking help, obviously that means you’re not able to see the truth in your life and you’re asking someone else to help you. So whatever choice you make whether it’s her or some other therapist, may God bless your path and help you see the truth. I am very impressed with the way this place is run. First of all my fiancée is a veteran and has been seeking help through the VA for a physiological induced/ medically induced MH issue. He was in the ER and urgent care several times, telling his MH provider he needed help something was wrong, being told that it was all in his head. The day my fiancée was admitted to the Northeastern center I honestly didn’t know if he would live, he couldn’t eat, sleep or function and within hours after admission one dose of medication under his tongue and he was much better. It took two days of inpatient and he is home. I am very grateful to the doctor who knew enough to treat him with the right medication. The VA would never have figured it out. As far as all the bad reviews I had no negative experiences nor did my fiancée. They did give me a code and it worked easily and yes that is to protect the patience privacy and it is HIPAA. This place also excepts sliding scale. From start to finish wonderful. Totally professional, glad to know they exist,

These ladies do work. Even against the threat of social repercussions. I loved my time here, although I never hope to be in a situation that gets me close to the edge again. Good work here to everyone, and I hope we keep stomping the stigma. And, if all else fails, I’ll be back for some cherry coke and good times before having an amazing life. My life is going great since recovering here! Just takes discipline, active listening, and a strong commitment to the goals you make to your loved ones while being here. Good luck and continue the mental health progress!

⭐ 1/5 JOCELYN is the reason I will no longer be donating to YWCA North Central Indiana after approximately a YEAR of consistently donating BRAND-NEW clothing from my fashion business. I own a fashion business, and I regularly have brand-new clothing that I cannot use due to sizing, incorrect orders, overstock, etc. Instead of letting perfectly good clothing go to waste, I’ve been donating these items to YWCA North Central Indiana so women and girls who need them can benefit. These are not old, worn-out clothes—they are BRAND-NEW, quality fashion items. For about a year, I have been allowed to drop these donations off. My husband will literally carry the bags inside the building and leave them where instructed. Because I run a business, I cannot always accommodate extremely limited or specific donation drop-off times, and this has never been an issue before. Today, I spoke with JOCELYN and explained this. I told her I’ve been donating this way for approximately a year and that my husband could bring the bags directly inside. I was NOT asking anyone to stop what they were doing and sort through the clothing. All I needed was for someone to receive the bags and put them to the side until the appropriate person was available. JOCELYN told me that she thought it would be better for me to FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO DONATE MY CLOTHES. So that is exactly what I will do. And honestly, the unfortunate part is that JOCELYN is not the person who would have benefited from these clothes. The women and girls receiving them would have. I’m sure many of them would have appreciated having access to brand-new clothing. I completely understand having policies and limited staffing. What I do not understand is turning away someone who has consistently donated brand-new merchandise for approximately a year when I wasn’t even asking anyone to process or sort the donation immediately. After supporting this organization for a year, being told by JOCELYN to simply find somewhere else to donate was extremely disappointing. I will gladly take my future donations to an organization that actually wants them and appreciates consistent community support.
