Richmond is a very strict recovery program, they won't baby you so if you can't take a stringent recovery program go to a catering facility. I was there in the '80s and finished the program, it did me good, I have fell back a few times but with the tools they gave me I was able to get back on track and have been sober for 18 years. If you choose this program finish it and walk out a better person, remember it's tough but it will build character and you will be stronger for it.

THe only place in the state that is worth anything for treatment. I am a true alcoholic and the detox was the safest and smoothest ive ever had, i have been to many centers (unfortunately) and bridges of hope is the best treatment I have ever received. I have nothing but amazing things to say about the staff, the setup and how comfortable the facility is. Dont listen to the people talking sh*t below, they are probably just disgruntled clients that left to go get high again. I am so blessed and i am celebrating 4 months in 3 days.

When I arrived at Bridges of Hope, I was at rock bottom, beaten down filled with guilt, shame, remorse, and hopeless. This facility changed my life in so many ways and I am forever grateful. The staff was compassionate, understanding, provided me with the lifelong tools to embark on my new journey of freedom, salvation, courage, strength, and hope. The therapists undying compassion for their clients is truly remarkable. The CEO is a living inspiration and has an incredible story of his own. He goes out of his way to actively engage and teaches a remarkable Neuroscience lecture each week. I am truly blessed to have had this life changing experience. is over half the staff are recovered addicts. They know what your
going through and how you feel, they have lived it. They show you

Before Selah, I had several experiences at trauma centers that made me questioned if I ever wanted to get help or if my recovery was worth it.
I was admitted to Selah in Summer 2023 and 2024. I learned to advocated for myself and others. Shout out to nurse Mary Adkins and Kenzie, therapists Emily and Marice! Without them I would of left Selah. I was panicking, didn't feel heard and my dietian left for a different practice. There was so many changes that happened when I was there in 2024. But overall for me, what I gained from both experience was "trust" from the clinical staff at Selah. Trust the process. I have never had that before.

I would like to say that returning on Tuesday alumni night meetings makes me very happy to share my story and answer any questions my new friends may have before they leave and start their new chapter. This place is awesome and in the future my plan is to someday work here and pay forward the excellent care I was given and share my experiences to help others because this is a very serious disease and I have lost some great people to this terrible sickness and I want to do my very best to try and prevent loss due to this illness. I went in for alcohol detox..a litttttle intoxicated. But they were wonderful from the beginning to the very end who gave me a smile to leave with. They made me feel comfortable when I'm usually an anxious mess. You honestly get out of the program with how badly you want to get sober. They give the resources to get you how far you are ready to go. They gave me space for me to gather myself and find the peace of mind I kept depriving myself of, but always were there to stop and talk with me throughout the process. Amazing and kind chefs with some amazing food and sweet attitudes, best sleep ive had in months, and a super clean facility with the best house keepers to always keep me laughing and in a good mood. Super thankful for my short, but very well spent time there. First thing I did after leaving today was attend a meeting and get *with gods grace* my very last 24hr- days coin.

Before Hickory I’ve never experienced any sort of rehabilitation. In ANY aspect of my life. I was WRECKED. So my expectations were very “surfaced”. The tools and practices the staff, therapists, BHT’s and even the front desk and office staff provide go beyond just the addiction part. Even when some of us are at our absolute lowest and have lost sight of everything and everyone else…. It’s impossible, even then to lose sight of someone making us feel GENUINELY cared about. I’ll always remember the time we spent together Hickory!!! All 3 times of them.

I just completed their 28 day stay and it was pretty good. The class's are full with knowledge and tools and coping skills. Most of the staff have your best interests at heart. The food is good and there is alot. Tvs in your room with Netflix, YouTube, tubi, Pluto. You get your phone 2 hours a day everyday. You can smoke, and chew pretty much whenever you want. The nurses will get your meds squared away without a problem. Your counselor will met with you for one on one's all throughout the week. I want to give a shout out to my counselor Lisa White, she really cared about what I was going through and helped me my whole time there. They also provide places you can go to after you complete the program. They have a detox side you can go to when you first get there if you are coming off hard drugs. They have a full size gym with all the equipment and and outside basketball court, volleyball, football, ping pong, cards, and art supplies. You can order stuff from Amazon like hygiene. You can also order nicotine products if you have cash or card or your people can drop them off. I had a easy great time there. You just got to focus on yourself and not worry about what other people are doing. It's easy to get caught up in what other people are doing and if you are going through anything like that just talk to counselor. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get there life headed in the right direction. It's a good starting place. They bill your insurance so it's pretty much free, it dont cost any actual money. Thanks so much recovery village I appreciate the help and I am doing good still.
