I look forward to seeing and hearing from my group every week. My counselor is very helpful. I have Tia now but I used to have Kendra and I really miss her she was great! I'm sure Tia will be too I have only had her for 2 weeks. I really love Susie our Nurse Practitioner that we see every month!! She really listens to me and goes out of her way to really help others. She goes above and beyond she has the biggest heart and truly cares about our well-being!!!

Richmond is a very strict recovery program, they won't baby you so if you can't take a stringent recovery program go to a catering facility. I was there in the '80s and finished the program, it did me good, I have fell back a few times but with the tools they gave me I was able to get back on track and have been sober for 18 years. If you choose this program finish it and walk out a better person, remember it's tough but it will build character and you will be stronger for it.

I love this Treatment center. Been here twice. The staff is wonderful. I got exactly what I needed there . Counseling, case management , group therapy, educational groups , sober networking. Talbert House has truly helped me. The staff there are amazing, and always try their best to help us. There are staff who will spend their money and make us breakfast some mornings. Christmas, although sad, was truly fun. One of the clinical staff came in and played some games with us. Although the program can be hard, I believe it can truly help you. The program can be stressful at times, but the staff are there to try and help you. My favorite staff, Ms. Beth, always had the newest shoes on. She, along with all the staff, truly helped me. Reentry program for returned citizens. Provides loads of help, housing, and programs. Services are very similar to a prison. No one goes here because they simply want to. But, all in all, some staff are educated, understanding, and wonderfully helpful, and some staff get hired and fired in short order! Halfway between the MonDay program, and a homeless shelter in more ways than geographical!

I’m going to make a different kind of review for PC because I personally don’t go there but I know several people who have been in the program for many years & some who are still in the program.
Through those people I feel I can make a review especially since I’ve been familiar with it for over 15 years .
I have personally gotten to know people myself due to me knowing people going there awhile . I know some of these friendships outside of the program .
Some of the same People ride to PC together every morning on the days they go & this to has become a routine . They call to make sure each other is up & ready . They have even become friends with their driver who picks them up.
They acknowledge Birthdays , Christmas & sometimes even exchange small gifts because it’s “ the thought that counts.”
With the building closing on Daruma Pkwy , Clients have to chose between 2 other locations to go to which means people will not get to see their usual friends or the people they are use to seeing on a daily basis.
I seriously feel bad for everyone having to make that decision.
I believe part of rehabilitation is having someone to talk to, having a social life & being around others that you have known for years.
Not everyone will be able to go to the same location so it’s sad that they have to split up like they are .
I thought the bldg on Daruma was a great location & near the bus line as well.

So I have struggled with addiction issues for years and The Anderson Center was one of the treatment facilities that I had the opportunity to try. I was part of the in patient, as well as, the out patient. I have been doing outpatient services there now for the last couple of yrs. I am extremely surprised at all the bad reviews that I have read because in my experience, the staff and DR's have all been wonderful and have went above and beyond my expectations. I also want to give a special review for Dr. Skinner. He is my Dr. now and this man is incredible in every way possible! Immediately, you can tell that he is genuinely vested in his work and his patients. If it wasn't for him, I don't know where I would be today. I was undiagnosed and misdiagnosed for over 10 yrs. and after one appt. with him, was immediately diagnosed with major depression disorder and Bi-Polar disorder. I am now being treated for both and feel like I have my life back. I was lucky enough for Dr. Skinner to take me on as his patient and he has literally saved me. I will forever be greatful!!!

So I had 4 women case manager and 1 guy and they "helped" but it's not enough, medication is all I need and you need a yearly of one of their checkups and I hated being pulled aside to waste like an hour; also had only 1 shot per year after years of getting no where with my mental condition and that was a struggle of its own(transportation etc) .. if anyone has suggestions where to to get better treatment please let me know because idk how to say this but there is a thief that is the main person for this Cassandra which goes by Andrew Frank and I don't care to go here anymore!!

I was seeing Dr Zieba I could only understand half of what he was saying. He spent more time talking about himself than being concerned with my mental health. I told him I was constantly angry and spent most of my time depressed , even mentioned suicide and hurting others. Give me more meds. I’ll be a vegetable before long

The residential treatment program was the longest 8 months of my life ....Great staff tho that helped me a lot through the lowest point of my life but it was really hard being away from my friends and some of my family ...every staff that worked with me helped me and taught me how to deal with the loss of my friend to suicide ...I’m gonna be honest if I wouldn’t of went into residential I wouldn’t be here right now ...I realized life is to short and we should enjoy it ;)
