They introduced me to narcotics anonymous which is a program. I never had tried before and just recently got two years clean. They sent me up for the beginning to stay clean. It is the only place I’ve ever seen where when you get to go to meetings you’ll see the staff there and they treat you like family not a number. I also used to work for the same program, which is ARIA and both experiences were phenomenal. I highly recommend this if you want to change your life it changed mine. I went in broken with a backpack of dirty clothes and no options. I'd heard horror stories about the facility and staff while incarcerated. I was shocked when arrived there to finish my sentence out. The food is actually good and the staff...I cried when I left. The men and women there had made me feel like a human being. They helped me through the re-entry process and were professional yet human. This is the type of treatment center you want when you are truly ready to change. I've seen a lot of ppl just quit and leave because of, well , you name it. If you or a loved one or someone you know has a problem with addiction and is ready, I mean truly ready for positive change then I believe Westcare will help you do it. Timmy Cook 4 weeks ago Aug 13, 2026 makes 1 year that I have been a patient of this clinic; before I made the decision to start treatment I was lost, stuck and had no idea where to start; I was fearful of withdrawal and of the shame that follows addiction but from day one of treatment this clinic with is counselors and staff helped me navigate through every obstacle I faced! My counselor Kali has been such an instrumental part of my journey and I wouldn’t be where I am today without her help as well as the nurse Mandi has made it a point to champion our milestones and congratulate us on our progress! Lastly, the director Rebecca does so much for us patients to make us feel welcomed and valued during our treatment, from pancakes in the winter, recovery day, and always being available to help with anything! Were there some bumps on the road yes. Were there times I wanted to run home yes (I actually tried and didn't make it far) but at the same time nothing that you could go through there was any worse that being home in fact I think I maybe wouldn't be here today if not for good Ole dessie. I met some of the best people in my life here. I had some really good experiences. I finished high-school I am 29 and am married with 3 kids and a homeowner. I can honestly say none of those things would be true if not for them. I actually am a 2 timer I went for 6 months when I was 15 and it wasn't long enough. Got home and didn't make it 3 months had to come right back. Well anyway I guess my point is you don't make it there by accident or by bad luck and there are a thousand worse places they could send you I promise you. I graduated in 2011 these reviews are sad to read that all these people never got the benefits that I did. It's most definitely one of the hardest things I've ever done the mowing acres, the "telling past trauma to your peers", sitting on the floor all of that is true but given out of context. It's extremely difficult and it's not fun at all we weren't even allowed to smile. All that being said that experience changed my life it taught me accountability I was able to get my GED as well as graduate high school with honors and it was the best thing that's ever happened to me. They don't give you a choice you have to get with the program and if you don't I guess you end up being grown and complaining about the trauma and I'm sure they're still blaming everyone for their issues. I just wanted to leave a positive review that is honest. It's hard it sucks and if you get through it you'll be better for it.
