The people at pathways have always been good to me. I've never had a problem with any of them. Very nice people and it's clean. Carla is a really good person to go see especially with mental health. Everytime I have called they have helped me in some way.

They give this friendly vibe, a true home town feel comes from this place. Staff is quick but friendly, and knowledgeable but open-minded. My therapists were the ones able to accomplish so many awesome things through me!

The five stars are for Dr Joseph (Chief of Dental Services) at this facility. He is a compassionate and meticulous dentist who has provided me with excellent dental care. In addition, I highly praise his staff who also deliver superb care. This facility has many others who are exemplary and always provide friendly caring service. However, if possible I would rate other clinical concerns with a ZERO. My experience as an inpatient, as well as, my time (over 20 years) as a physician at this facility has shown me an ongoing issue with suboptimal/horrible quality of some inpatient beds. This most certainly has a negative impact on quality of patient care. Over the years I brought this issue up to the HVAMC hierarchy with minimal positive response. However, the other concerns at least over the past nine months have been : 1. ineptitude of phone service. Operators are pleasant, but wait time for an initial answer to my call is amazingly slow or in some cases NO ANSWER at all. 2. Most importantly of all, the horrendous multitude of problems with referral to a non-VA specialist. This has been very apparent to me since early 2025. I have had the misfortune of requiring numerous urgent referrals to a number of different specialists. All of these referrals met with untimely delays in attempting to get an appointment and generally not always getting a specialist who I have confidence in regarding my well-being. 3. HVAMC needs to hire or contract an ENT physician (at least part time). 4. The overall VA work force (nationally) has been severely diminished and likely will be further depleted which will impact negatively veterans overall quality of care. I have spoken with numerous veterans who are voicing these concerns. 5. Despite what you are hearing, there are ongoing plans to ‘cut’ or eliminate disability payments to qualified veterans by Congressional Budget Committee. This is outrageous especially since it is being conducted by a vast majority of congressional members who never served a single day in uniform. Once ‘they’ start cutting benefits you can be assured that other benefits will be eliminated as well. It is of paramount importance that state representatives receive veterans feedback on this.

These guys are absolutely tremendous and provide an incredible service. Cannot say enough good about them. I’ve been working through my things with them for going on three years, more for personal maintenance than peer/crisis support. They’re always there. Always consistent. I could mention names on the 24 hour crisis line, but they know who they are that do wonders for for me. Only love for Pathways of Ashland, Kentucky.

I started going here a few months ago and I really like the place, Mended Reeds has great councilors and staff. I feel like here I can really restore myself. However, I think they should be a little bit more patient with some people because change process is different for everybody.

Great program... Ran by addicts (mostly)for addicts. They offer a great team that offers mental health also. They offer genetic testing to see what meds are best for the individual. After 30 days you can work and there is a lot of freedoms that other rehabs don't have. Safe environment that drug test almost everyday. High success rates from what I've seen. I've been here 7 weeks and look forward to the next 5 weeks.

I loved it they were so kind and helped me with my anxiety I saw a psychiatric nurse practitioner!@ she gave me appropriate medicine I've never gotten care that was so good and medicine that actually helped my depression with anxiety before I've gotten another app.

I love these people!!! Been going there for 5 years. Besides a few NP changes, it's been the same people. Georgeann is my therapist, and would move heaven and earth to help me, and has. Dr. Agarwal is my psychiatrist. She seems a bit stern (she has to be in her field), but after she gets to know you she's very sweet and considerate. Finally, my adorable NP, Amber. I have a rare medical condition and the first time I met her, I told her that my colon was hanging out my abdominal wall. (They actually were.) She was a big advocate in helping me get my surgery during the height of the pandemic. She has taken the time to learn about my condition, and goes above and beyond.

Our therapist Cook is amazing. He sets down and listened to Everything said. You can feel awkward about anything and He Will set down talk it threw with You and help You understand everything so You can cope with what is wrong. Your time with Him is just that, it's Your time...He pays attention and isn't on the phone or anything. Best therapist EVER. Dr. Rhett is great only seen Him twice but He's amazing. He not only knows about the mental meds but He is like a full Family Dr. I told Him about my brain cancer tumor and The 2.2 by 2.4 measurements and He knew everything about that too. He's My Husbands Dr and He knows about the lung issues fibrosis and everything. Rhett listens too and can explain your medicine without looking on His phone like some Drs. He just knows about the medication and that makes me feel good because He must read and study the medicine to make sure it's what is best for You. Pathways is Amazing for Us. Plus My Wife gets side track watching the cartoons in the lobby 😀

Their counseling services have been a huge help to my daughter and my husband and I.

Therapy is hard but it helps. Have had great encounters with all staff so far.

It was rough but totally worth it still clean 5 years later. Facilities are all really nice up to date and very well maintained.
