This place has been amazing my counselor Robin Keeton is truly amazing and cares for her clients they have case managers both of them Leslie and the other woman I’m not sure her name have been there for my family when everyone couldn’t or wouldn’t help us they have helped us with all resources food clothing animal help any and everything and the Peer Support specialist David Prembble is just as great he has came and got us for appointments when our car went down and helped with our car and is there any time of the day to be a listening ear and to provide any and all help available to him 10/10 recommend love these people and this place they are truly AMAZING!!!

I have been helped in a very difficult situation when crisis services were utilized. I really appreciate the way Justa and Tara handled the hard conversations with my family member and for the understanding my husband and I felt directed toward us at that time. Moving forward, I am definitely going to establish ongoing counseling and medication management services with Comprehend. No system is perfect, but so far so good.

I have been attending therapy sessions with Dr. Alicia Moran. There are not enough words to describe how wonderful she is. I will say that our sessions are not always easy - she consistently challenges me to think differently, alas, allowing room for growth.... if I so choose to rise to the challenge and not allow myself to wallow in a victimized mindset. She is tough, thorough and loving. If you are willing to put in the work with her, you won't be disappointed.

My marriage was a wreck. I had been to other counselors in the area. I just didn’t see any positive results from the level of care that I was receiving. I felt hopeless and that my marriage was over. A friend of mine could see my struggles and asked me to give New Hope counselors a try. I had never heard of them before. With nothing to lose, I made an appointment and am so thankful that I did. I have been going for a while now and life is getting better. There is still work to do, but I am getting better. My marriage is getting better. The kids are not as distant from me as they were before. My counselor really connected with me. They explained hard truths to me so that I could understand them and accept them to begin healing myself and my family. I really felt a personal connection at New Hope and I believe that is what helped me the most. I felt like my counselor was really interested in me and my situation. Not just treating me the same as everyone coming in their door.

It's because of Brightview Georgetown that I'm sober and thriving the way I am today! They go above and beyond just a staff member,they are family. They go out of their way to make sure I'm secure in being there,having active sobriety, they've been there at court for me advocating that I'm doing everything I can to be a better person and mother. If I was having a bad day they're supportive,they answer my calls and genuinely want what's best for me! The staff there don't judge and want to help in any possible way they can. If you're struggling to get where you want to be when it comes to sobriety, they're in my opinion the number 1 place to go if you really want a change for the better ❤️💪🏼

I've never been to a better medical facility. The staff actual care and do everything they can do to help you in whatever situation you have. I've been going here a few years now and have never seen anyone mistreated. The only thing I have seen is people trying to take advantage and the staff, obviously, having to tell someone no, their request isn't possible. There are strict rules and laws and no one should expect the staff to break them.

Dr Katz is the best! I’ve never felt I could actually be myself and open up to a doctor like I have her. I’ve had a lot of bad experiences with doctors in the past, but I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Shawnee family health. They are all very friendly and I just love my doctor so much she’s the best. She truly cares about her patience all these other negative comments on here. I don’t see that there I’ve seen it many other places, but not here so don’t listen to the negative negative comments if you wanna know, go in person and make your own opinion and I about guarantee it’ll be a good one. I feel the people leaving bad reviews are just doing so because they didn’t get the medication they wanted or something. I’ve never had any kind of issues with them whatsoever and I drive a very far distance just to see Dr. Katz because I love her so much and I know I’m not gonna find another psychiatrist that I feel that comfortable with so thank you Dr. Katz for being a wonderful doctor a caring doctor and so real and down to earth and thank you for caring about me. I’ve been going to this clinic for over a decade for severe mental illness and as my primary care provider. As a long term patient there, I know most of the staff by name. I have a lot of love and respect for the staff especially my doctor Deborah Katz, they treat you like family. They care about your health and wellbeing. The negative comments on here are just Karen’s and Kevin’s complaining because they have nothing else to do with their lives. I recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone I know. I refuse to see another clinic.

Shepherds Shelter is an amazing program It is life changing to anyone who is willing to accept Christ into their life. I am now approaching 2 years of sobriety after going through this program. It has not only turned everything around in my life I would go as far as saying it saved me from myself and the life I settled for in addiction. I have been working as peer support since completing treatment, and am well on my way to obtaining an associates degree in Human Services. The treatment offered here and God have done many things for me I would never have done for myself. I not only recommend this program to anyone still suffering through active addiction to consider treatment through Shepherds Shelter but I encourage them to take that first step in surrendering to God and welcoming Christ into their lives by reaching out to this facility. Transformation is possible and we do recover...but it all starts with the individual!

I have been connected to this ministry for over 15 years and I have been able to see the consistency to not only minister against the enemy of addiction but they build deep relationship roots of Jesus Christ in the individual. They do not work for a six month program but they work for a life partnership to always be there for the individual even after the program is finished. This ministry has devoted their lives to those that many times the church does not want but the Lord deeply desires! Hello my name is Michael and I am family. I remember the first time I said this because it is the way we introduce ourselves at shepherds shelter. To be honest I didn't want to say it and didn't believe it. After 26 years of drug abuse I was anything but family by the world's standard I was Labeled as a drug addict junkie, thief, convict, liar, user and a list of names I'd rather not mention. But as I soon learned from pastor " it's not what people call you that matters it's what you answer to" I'm proud to say that today I am 2 1/2yrs sober a man of God because of the love and mercy that was shown to me through all shepherds shelter staff and especially Pastor and momma. Before coming to Shepherds Shelter I spent almost the last 10yrs of my life sleeping on the street. I seen nights I have literally almost froze to death. Spent 10 years in prisons and jails and seen no kind of hope for anything good I soon found myself back in jail , so I begged for rehab. Honestly my intention was just to get out of jail but that all changed in a Saturday night church service as I hit my knees to pray. I didn't pray some fancy prayer or make any deals I simply submitted I told God I don't know what I'm doing I obviously don't know how to live life please show me. Boy was I in for a game changer. The more I leaned into what was being taught there the more I started to see and feel change in my life. I truly became family and was treated as such. The values and morals that have been instilled in me from shepherds shelter have forever changed not only my life but every life I come in contact with. I am no longer that list of terrible names. I am first and foremost a man of God but I am also a husband a father a son a brother a friend and most of all I AM FAMILY AT SHEPHERDS SHELTER. Sadly theres only one doctor there and they work once a week, and they're quite a bit stingy with certain medications (Like amphetamines for ADHD and Benzos for panic disorder). Yesterday was my first time visiting the VA and had an amazing experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, the Doctor took her time with my visit and explained all the different benefits the VA has to offer. First time going to a doctor’s office where I didn’t feel like it was a rush to move on to the next patient.

I have been to multiple different rehabs and types of drug treatment over the years and I just graduated from here a couple months ago and I am 20 months sober today. If you truly want to b clean, this is an awesome treatment facility. Medication assisted treatment is offered here and I feel that is what has truly helped me in combination with therapy and groups, also having a sponsor and working a program. I attended the rehab in 2019 they honestly helped me find God and they saved my life. Angie and Barry are like angles sent here to save the 1 that left the 99. I am forever grateful for them and all the people who helped me get there. Thanks to them I have my daughter back and am getting married to the man of my dreams and working a great job making good money. I could have done it without them and GOD.
