But The Ridge staff and their support program made it a very compassionate, Informative, and a truly helpful process. The accommodations were excellent. From counseling through the course work and group work, the program Is a fine balance of healing, education and preparation. Every member of the staff from the cooks and the counselors to the doctors and administration, all were genuinely concerned with my overall well-being and recovery. I think more personal counseling would be beneficial with trauma. No caffeine and no sugar took some getting used to but i got so healthy while being there, I felt great when I left! I had a medical emergency while in residential treatment and the input i got from Dr.Soto was completely wrong, i can count on one hand how many times i interacted her, she had no idea what she was talking about but the rest of the staff made up for that. Overall I had a great experience at the Ridge. I would recommend this to everyone. This is one of those moments. My sister completes treatment tomorrow, and I cannot let this milestone pass without expressing my deepest gratitude to the entire team who cared for her. After more than 30 years of substance use and countless experiences with treatment, this is the first time my sister has successfully completed a treatment program. That alone makes tomorrow incredibly meaningful for our family. But what means even more to me is knowing that she was not simply treated for her substance use disorder she was cared for as a whole person. She entered treatment with serious and critical health concerns that required attention, advocacy, and compassionate care. Those concerns were recognized and addressed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure her health and safety were not overlooked, and that her needs were treated with the dignity and seriousness they deserved. As someone who works professionally in the SUD field, I know how much goes into helping someone reach this point. I understand the importance of consistency, compassion, boundaries, clinical skill, medical attention, and perhaps most importantly having people who continue to see the person underneath the addiction. But as her sister, I experienced something even more personal... relief and hope. For the first time in a very long time, my family could breathe a little easier knowing she was somewhere safe, seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. Recovery is not easy. Thirty years of addiction does not disappear in a month. Completing treatment does not mean the journey is over. But completing treatment after decades of struggle is a tremendous accomplishment, and she should be incredibly proud of herself. The encouragement and coordinated care for her discharge planning was imperative. This was executed with precision as well. To every person who played a part in her care, thank you. Thank you for showing up for her. Thank you for taking her health concerns seriously. Thank you for seeing beyond her history and recognizing the person she still was underneath all of it. In that time, I have received many of the services that Lindner has to offer, from rapid access, to inpatient, to residential, to PHP, to outpatient therapy and psychiatry. I wanted to leave a review in case anyone is in a place where they really need help, to highly recommend the Lindner Center. It has been completely transformational for me and a large part of the reason I have been able to recover from and now maintain my mental health since my diagnosis. The providers I have seen genuinely care about me and are extremely knowledgeable. The organization as a whole also truly cares about the health and wellbeing of its patients and community, frequently putting on free events to educate people on mental health. They’ve even had a patient advisory committee to seek patient input on their decisions. I have always been helped quickly, whether that’s with admission or getting on someone’s schedule rapidly to get the care I need in the moment I need it. I have even received financial assistance that one of the providers helped secure for me. Providers at LCOH throughly assessed and confirmed a confusing and difficult diagnosis for me, and worked with me over the years to find the right medication regimen for where I was at during each phase since my initial episode(s). The individual counseling and group DBT/other group work I participated in allowed me to work through a lot of damage and acquire skills to rebuild my life. Has every employee I’ve interacted with or every day/single activity of a service I ever received been 100% perfect? Of course not, but mental health is extremely difficult to treat, and the staff certainly deals with a lot each day. The VAST majority of my experiences have been OVERWHELMINGLY positive and I would expect-as with anything else in life-to have some moments where I am a little disappointed. I have no doubt that every provider I’ve worked with has had my best interest in mind, and I trust the care plans laid out for me. My therapist has truly been a life saver for me and I plan to keep my medication management and counseling with the Lindner Center indefinitely. Please try this place out if you are struggling! The staff here is really great and they care about their patients and they offer a whole lot more of care than other clinics. Going to the clinic is one of the best decisions I have ever made cause, the Methadone keeps me from craving for opioids, and I have not felt any need in using opioids, but it doesn't take care of other drugs, such as benzodiazepines, stimulants,etc., only opioids,but it is up to the patient if they are willing to stay clean and sober.
