I think more personal counseling would be beneficial with trauma. No caffeine and no sugar took some getting used to but i got so healthy while being there, I felt great when I left! I had a medical emergency while in residential treatment and the input i got from Dr.Soto was completely wrong, i can count on one hand how many times i interacted her, she had no idea what she was talking about but the rest of the staff made up for that. Overall I had a great experience at the Ridge. I would recommend this to everyone. I had suicidal thoughts it was like I wanted to give up. The VA and the therapist have helped me focus on the present not the pass trauma like I was doing every day. The staff here is really great and they care about their patients and they offer a whole lot more of care than other clinics. Going to the clinic is one of the best decisions I have ever made cause, the Methadone keeps me from craving for opioids, and I have not felt any need in using opioids, but it doesn't take care of other drugs, such as benzodiazepines, stimulants,etc., only opioids,but it is up to the patient if they are willing to stay clean and sober.
