Upon arrivngl at Lexington Addiction Center(LAC) I was greeted with friendly staff that was awaiting my arrival. At first I was nervous because I was 500 miles away from home and didn't know anyone, but as I started to settle in things got easier. I shared a house with about 10 others that was in recovery just like me. The house was clean and well furnished. I had the opportunity to attend AA meetings 5 times a day which in part helped with my sobriety. My case manager kerstin was very helpful in assisting me with issues that I was going through at home as well as housing and giving me overall information that I needed to secure housing. I can't say enough how LAC has helped me. I appreciate all the staff for assisting me through this journey. If you are thinking about going to LAC please do so with an open mind and ready to get on the road to recovery, this place is really great!

I have struggled with addiction my entire life, before coming to BrightView I felt defeated and ready to give up the fight entirely. Luckily I decided to go and see what BrightView was all about & it was the best decision I have made for myself & my recovery. The moment you walk in you are met with a big smile and a very warm welcome from Miss Kaci and/or Miss Denise at the front desk. If you're extra lucky you might even spot the most adorable Director ever hanging up there ( Shout out Miss Hunter!) Seroiusly the nicest ladies you'll ever meet! I was feeling really low when I finally made it through their doors, but Miss Kaci let me know I was definitely in the right place, and that I was among friends. The medical staff is absolutely phenomenal! They were extremely patient and friendly, answering every question I had and I had plenty! Oh my goodness, I almost forgot to mention one of the things that impressed me most! Everyone I saw on my first visit made it a point to introduce themselves to me, even if they weren't my personal Counselor, or Doctor or whatever, it was really nice of everyone, but I didn't give it much more thought, not until I came in the next day and EVERYONE that I had met the day before greeted me by name! I quickly learned that this is just one of the staff's super powers. I don't know how they memorize everyone's names so quickly, but it's quite impressive and very appreciated.
I could go on and on, but I will leave you with one piece of advice. If you are struggling with addiction and are ready to take control of your life back, you should consider coming in and talking to the kickass staff at BrightView, you'll be glad you did.

This is the place to find your way to sobriety. BUT ONLY if you are honestly ready to work as hard at staying clean and sober as you did to stay high. I was left struggling daily by another clinic in town that would instantly shut me down when I would try to talk about the struggles I was having. I came here and the Dr listened to me. My dose was tweaked just a little bit and boom my life drastically changed for the better. The staff is absolutely great here.

I’ve been going to Invictus for almost 6 years now and it has truly been my saving grace, it’s the most stress free clinic I have ever been to, there’s no drama or devious actions there, like most other clinics have, the doctors are great, and to be honest all the employees are fantastic, I dont blame have to give a special shout out to Teri Noe, she is the most amazing person ever, she truly cares about patients and she is always there for you, she is so amazing !! I do miss Viviana so much too, she was great and if she told you that she would call you back, then she would definitely call you back, she helped me out with refills on other medication several times she was amazing !!

Front desk women are rude, act annoyed that you even called them. Called to make an appointment for wrist pain and was told to go to the hospital. Why does the VA have a doctor's office if they won't see they're patients. I only see my doctor once every 12 months. Cookeville VA is a joke and needs to be closed down. Veterans, don't waste your time with the Cookeville office.

I had used the Cookeville VA for a short period of time begore I moving to Nashville. When I moved back to Cookeville, I took the intake physical in which everything was perfect, other than a lack of vitamin D, they said I could get it from a store or they could order a 90 day supply. The nurse didn't know how much it would cost. I'm figuring that its only Vitamin D; later finding out that the cost was almost $40- a shock, but I paid it as my credit record is impeccable; and I had enough going on at the time. Also, they referred me to counseling in which they didn't disclose those fees also. FAST PACE charged me $90 for a short video chat session; where as it was free in Nashville. Other than that, the treatment at Cookeville was good.

What a well run counseling center with some of the best most friendly, dedicated, compassionate counselors I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
Stephanie went above and beyond to help me with a class I had to make-up on short notice at another facility. This issue was soully caused by me, but Stephanie helped expedite the paperwork process on her own time to meet my needs.
Emily was my counselor for my classes. She is great at was she does and this not only comes from personal experience but from the compassion she has for helping others! She is a very personable person that made me want to go to class.

Not as “advertised” or promised.
Negligent and unbelieving when someone has a legitimate medical emergency. Will fail to contact you of these medical emergencies until they get so bad that they have to be transported by ambulance-but they will let your ill loved one go to the ER on their own even though they were in their care.
When you decide to get your loved one away for their safety, they will be threatened and talked down to. Then you will be told you can’t get your OWN belongings for 72 hours due to medical guidlines!
They’ll follow medical guidlines to keep your stuff hostage but won’t follow medical guidelines when someone has a seizure with no history of them!
Do very good research before you decide on this place.
A lot of the positive reviews are from people who work there.
Pretty campus, but that’s about where it ends.

This plce truly saved my life, i went there for substances other thwn alcohol, at times it can feel like being in high school all over again but at th3 end of the day it just works as long as youre willing to do the work, the staff goes above and beyond and out if their way to help you. The staff is truly amazing and caring and they know how youre feeling as theyve been thru what youre goin thru personally, they will give u the shirt off of their backs, they teach u all of the tools and the skills needed to stay clean and sober, i unfortunstely walked oit aboit a week ahead of time due to my own stupidity but thank god i have 44 days as of the time im writing this.. if god forbid i messed up and got off track and reqlized i needed help asap Harmony Ridge would be the absolute first place i contact, thank you all for helping save me *Barboursville Location*

Talbert House has truly helped me. The staff there are amazing, and always try their best to help us. There are staff who will spend their money and make us breakfast some mornings. Christmas, although sad, was truly fun. One of the clinical staff came in and played some games with us. Although the program can be hard, I believe it can truly help you. The choice I made to go to HCBTS was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. Recovering from addiction isn’t easy but it is definitely easier with a staff that is very educated and caring. I love this place! The staff are all incredibly sweet. They have snacks & hot chocolate for when you’re in the induction room waiting on meds or your first time starting mat. They have either intensive outpatient or regular outpatient. The decision is based on the care they believe you need to succeed in your journey. Everyone is different. If you choose to do mat or come for groups/therapy, that’s your choice. As long as you’re not here from either jail or court. For me, I come once every week & I will soon go down yo bi weekly & then monthly. You have the option here to see a psychiatrist, which in my opinion is just great. Not all of us can find resources that work in our favor where they’re all in the same building. They work with your schedule & needs. Please take the time to give this place a try if it’s your first time seeking help for outpatient care. They are genuinely friendly & helpful. I’ve been going here for a month & I feel like this time around I’ve made transformations. We are all in this together! Get the help you need!

Just took away a star because of how every time you need something and call and I needed to speak to my counselor for a minute has nothing to do with her but they want to know and ask and get rude if you don't tell them your private information that is supposed to be confidential..... It's understandable that they're trying to see if they can help with anything. But to keep prying to try to find out what it is about etc. Is not okay. Counselors and are the ones that, "need to know", why i need to speak with them. Period.

I personally loved this place. I was there in 2013 right out of prison, pregnant and hopeless. The staff was wonderful and took care of us. When I had complications from my c-section and had to go back in the hospital they cared for my baby and brought her to see me every chance they could. Wonderful place.
